gAWD!!! I can get to level 375 on regular but i cannot get past level 50 on hardcore!!! What is the hardcore strategy??

If you cant find a specific weapon, upgrade the smith shop, its semi hidden on page 2 of the tower upgrades menu. Besides adding more slots, Upgrading it resets the selection as well you can manually spend action points to reset the selection and if what you want isnt there exit to main menu and reload from the beginning of the day, rinse repeat even if it takes 30 times!

Fuuuu.... Such a great game but it certainly knows how to destroy my nerves. Finally I thought this is it you f..... impossible badge and then I forget to repair walls... See you next time elona shooter or maybe tommorow

Lesson Learned:Don't use Ragnarock....That is unless you want a bunch of lighting breathing dragons randomly attacking your castle killing you instantly.

I wanted to like this so much the art style the game play even the character creation menu was just perfect, but there are just too many random elements. Shops, enemy drops, world events, fine, but when even leveling is random you loss a sense of agency. Waiting for something to fulfill a stratify, trying to garner the gold for a expensive upgrade or just trying to get your weapon of choice one level above starter is just tedious. I had to start over four times because I could get any traction before those imposable to hit dragonflys showed up. This is a great concept, but it's near unplayable as is.

Day 25: Still haven't found a single shotgun on field or in shop. My guardian with Shotgun 12 still using bow and arrow

If you have trouble remembering to reload use the hunter with his crossbow. Very handy when trying to get back into the swing of things.

can anyone tell me what the HELL the point of having an AI control for your team if they blatantly disregard it? I specifically set it so that they don't attack bosses or flying units, but it has no effect on their targeting whatsoever. why even put it in there is it doesn't work?!!?!?

Re-reminder for people returning to this. Use shotgun. Single shot > reload. It's faster than using the clip then reloading. It's also pretty good if you increase your accuracy enough.
Also the gravity gun destroys pretty much everything, get an ally with that, you're sweet.

Only problem I have is with the reloading. When i want to shoot something I'm going to be clicking nonstop. This makes you try to shoot with 0 bullets, makes u start reloading, and then makes u try shooting again. I wish that the character wouldn't shoot untill there is at least one in the chamber.

Got swarmed to death by chickens on day 12... TIP: Aim for those bastards, they shoot friggen eggs, deadly if they're in like a group of 7+.

Really nice game. Favorited.
But it seems I am really unlucky : Every time I focus a weapon skill, I never drop a weapon from that category, and the smithy never sells them either. I also get robbed or lose HP almost every time I "go search" after a battle, so be careful.
I reached day 15 on my latest play-through, I focused rifles, and I still play with the starter bowgun. My recruits do all the work for me. It's still a very fun game though.
By the way, using Ragnarok on day 3 is a VERY bad idea. Trust me.

*obtains artifact Ragnarok* Hmmm... I wonder what this does. I think I should use it. *A horde of dragons comes shooting laser beams, destroying my castle on the spot. Playing on hardcore mode.*

This Game is way too hard. Slow reload rate, no Tutourial, a ton of mobs even in the first wave, Options without any information like Research or resycle. I don't like it

@1000thSon Rangers are basically designed to use machine guns, so I don't see why you would want to steer off that path. Machine guns aren't inferior to other guns, although they may be harder to use.

I want to be a ranger, but then I have to start with a crappy heavy machine gun that can't hit a damn thing. Can't I start with a small gun instead, so I can move on to something more useful?

nice game,what i really recommand is that you should invest in big gun and take the gravity gun plus da bomb skill and take some rangers or some classes that know the big gun skill and equiq them with gravity guns.my opinion that works :)

I love this game! Haven't played it in ages, but so glad that it got a BoTD so other people will find the awesomeness that is this game :D
