Why is this game on the Yo Dawg Quest it sucks and now I don't want to do the quest anymore...-_- Thanks Atomic Pineapple for sticking us in this lame game.....30 achievement...I'm going to hurl.....

Unless you absolutely LOOOOVE grinding, grinding some more, and, yep, then GRINDING EVEN MORE, then just forget about the badge for the "Yo Dawg" quest.
Kongregate admins should NEVER accept quests (or badges) that they haven't tested themselves. They should auto-timer from beginning of game to badge acquisition as a mwtric to spot badges that are badly defined.

This game is extremely boring. I got my 30 achievement and will NOT ever come back for the others. . . 5 easy one is to spam bomb (I had 800 starting gold) and restart mission. You can also spam basic tower and restart once out of gold. For easy grind, just get enough starting gold for poison and set a poison at the start.

Don't mind most of the Yo Dawg quest so much, but this game is just a drag.... A seriously mind numbingly boring drag. I've literally just been playing the first 8 or so waves until I can drop a Super Tower then going and doing other stuff...

A few hints for people going for the 30 achievement badge. Once you get the upgrade so that you start off with 1000 cash, go back to the first level. If you havn't gotten it on expert yet, spam the entire map with basic turrets, hold N and you'll win easily.
From here you have two options, go for 400 turrets (is the turrets max) or the bombs, I chose towers first. If you want you can play through the level by doing what I said above and getting more upgrade points OR you can just choose restart mission after you've placed all your turrets/used all your bombs.
Following this guide will get you at least 12 medals very quickly, and maybe 15 (can't confirm). '+' so people can see it.

i might have rated this game higher at some point... maybe, but "having" to grind it for the yo dawg quest has made me hate it. I rate it a 1 star every 15 minutes just to remind me of the fact.

Grah, this is like doing homework! It's so long and tedious and most aspects are just useless unless you grind for HOURS. I think I prefer homework!!

Dear Kongregate: This is the worst quest I have ever attempted to do. You have forced me to grind hours into this. It is not fun at all. Please take down this Yo Dawg quest and remake one that is at least bearable.
This is not the way to celebrate your birthday.

Pretty dull. Being a long time tower defense player, I occasionally come into some that you need to grind, but never to this extent. It drags an already dull game down even further. The levels are unoriginal and the layouts feel repetitive and bland. The WORST thing I hate in ANY game is this stupid "play for this long" achievement. Especially when it says, and I quote "you must really like this game!" No, I don't, piss off. Two hours, "Has anyone else played this long?" Yes, everyone who has had to grind for the badges. These boring in game achievements are just a way to sucker people to play longer for those who have a crappy game. Most of the towers are useless, regular and super are all you need along with bombs as stated by askon. I for some reason even after completing the game with expert on all levels am still missing at least 10 achievements. There is NO WAY that the designer of this game tested this game in it's entirety before releasing it.

Came for the badge of course... But I loved this one! Quite nicely done tee dee with retro design, balanced towers, a lot of upgrades and really nice soundtrack =)
70% from me, and WOULD play mTD 2 =P
