Fun at first then pretty repetitive after that. I just starting putting super towers in after buffing initial money and all problems solved.

the secret to the first few lvls is to just use one basic and upgrade it. then re-do the first lvl alot and send in all enemies at once after you can get the tower to lvl 3 before combad (through finacial upgrades)

the thing people dont realise is grinding is necessary for games that dont just have hundreds of levels thrown at it, look at any decent game for anything, if it is not completely skill related, then some form of grinding is present.

Thank you everyone for your comments. I have fixed some balancing issues, the super tower is a bit more expensive and the multi-fire tower has a bit more damage (version 1.28K)

Hard game? Just place 2 super towers, wait until wave 5, place 4 another or smthg and go for dinner on lvl 25. When I came back it was over.

Dunno what you guys are talking about with upgrades being useless, you can take out Lvs 5-25 with only 2 or 3 fully upgraded towers (not supers). No need to place a crapillion lv1 towers.

5/5, addictive, simple, spartan, this is more a timing than a strategy game. It's repetitive just because each level is based on the same concept, with increasing difficulty. It's normal. It becomes boring after 20-25 missions, roughly two and a half hours if you buy Initial Money, Tower Prices, Money per Kill and Towers Damage to the max, but this does not deserve -2 or -1 stars: if you're a nerd, you're free to play it until your eyes begin to melt and your flesh is decomposed; if you ain't, search for another game when you get bored. Nothing but a thing to complain: Kongregate staff members should make the hard badge an impossible one. It's way too nerd, taking over five hours of savage grinding to obtain.

I have to agree with Killabandaid. Unfortunately, this is just another tower defense game. Nothing new here. And to top it off, so much of it feels poorly thought out (like tower upgrades).

this is nothing like gemcraft. it's in the same genre, the tower defence games, but there were games like this WELL before gemcraft, and gemcraft is very different from a regular tower defence game anyway.

The prices of upgrades do not stack! Just amass a bunch of upgrade points and buy the last upgrade. Saves a lot of points!

Easy mode for expert (given you have your upgrades maxed): Set up about 5 frost towers early or near a bend. Send all waves at once. Keep on 1x speed. Spam small bombs by holding shift. If the mission has bosses you can put down a Super or 2, or you can just let them pass. This has worked on every level I've tried so far. You have to be quick on 40, but it's doable. Not that you need it for the badge.

Boring. And hard. Maybe I have my upgrades wrong? But the post by Demaldon is accurate. It's also probably the most generic TD I have seen in ages. Terrible; not worth the badges. Give something good like Imperfect balance badges, not this crap.

Lul at teh small bomb ;) - you can easily gain the bomb achievements by boosting initial money then bombing the first level through several times. :)

This game is so broken. Flawed upgrading and tower upgrading, no real sense of how well into an expert score you are, tedious amounts of waves and levels, no real strategy - just spam towers and mash next wave, teeter on the edge of overflow and pray it's enough for an expert score.
