I love the idea and it seems to work. I just have 2 issues: combos ending because you don't get to a coin in time? Yeah, in an evasion game, I think I'll just jump through the laser for that coin if you don't mind... Also, I've had a minor mechanical issue where jumping doesn't work sometimes. Otherwise great.

Why does he even need a upgrade for defense, the fact that he doesn't get blown to smithereens when a missile blows up in his face is already impressive enough!
