Such a hard game. It's almost impossible to get decent combos unless you are extremely lucky. It's also very repetitive.(1/5)

It would be nice to see a different key to crash through planets. I found that I ended up getting shot into oblivion because I was holding the up key. It's a fun concept, but it needs some work.
Also, upgrades might possibly be a good idea if you consider making a sequel.

This really escalates quickly. I struggled and struggled to get past 350K, then suddenly I scored 1.25 million. Just the right sequence of combos can make your score skyrocket. Very frustrating trying to figure out how to maximize your score. I had the bad habit of holding up too often and breaking through larger asteroids that I should have been spinning off of. I think a lot of the issue is too small of a radar screen/view screen. It becomes impossible to anticipate moves once you achieve and kind of desirable speed.

It automatically makes me break asteroids whether I'm holding up or not. Also, a wider field of vision would be really nice, so we can see what we're doing.

Hard badge acquired. Only thing wrong with this game was human error. Had quite a few errors where I came in from the bottom and would hit the wrong direction. But it was all clockwise or counterclockwise just took time to get into the right mind set.

Can't break the 500k hurdle. So close and then I fail... Over and over. And it's just a short number of tricks to go from 400,000 to 1,000,000. The hard part is jumping away from the Red Giant without screwing up the thing.

Have just got the weirdest trick, named "Asleep in the sun", having the sun be on screen and jumped with about exact speed of sun's advance. The jump was really long, I was expecting the char to get fried eventually - no way. Incredible IMHO.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It looks like this game is best played if you don't accelerate to the top, allowing the sun to drift at 20-50% of the bar to the right, getting upwards as needed, and not all the time. It looks like the sun will accelerate if you do, up to your maximum vertical speed, but will not decelerate if you slow down.

The key to the hard badge is never to break the combo, even if it means going backward sometimes. In fact, the "Sun Dive" backward is desirable because it gives you a 500 pt combo score boost. No need to get to Pluto. Just get to the satellite with a big combo and you have the hard badge.

There's a bug with the scoring in this game. If you use the space bar to jump, it will continue to count the asteroids you break as if you're on a single jump. Once you get to Zen Destroyer it won't go up anymore, but you can "reset" your count by pressing the up arrow at anytime. This makes scoring the 1 million points almost trivial. During the "space" jumping though, you won't be able to get points for reaction, nice, sweet landings etc or Sun Jumps. Still though, once you get to Zen Destroyer if you're on your first jump you're at like 11 x 60000 or so, reset it, and it's not long before you're easily over 1 million.

This needs a backstory. I mean, why are the kid's parents on the screen at the beginning? A story behind it would be great. Please put one in!

I wish this game had some upgrades. For example, "zoom out distance", "speed loss upon asteroid crush", "kaboom bar speed increase", or even a bullet-time type upgrade that allows you an increasing number of time with each upgrade to slow down time right before you impact an asteroid and giving you time to jump at the right moment.

I think this game needs an ending. Like, eventually you escape the Red Giant and don't die in a horrible horrible fiery burning. That way you there is a finite amount of time to score points and the ending is something to be accomplished.

Just finished a game and in the final split second before I was hurled into the sun my speed reached 5750. If I was pointed up I would have traveled forever. Anyone ever get to those speeds or was it just a glitch/perfect storm thing?

I got the Medium badge even before I got the Easy badge because I'm not really sure how you destroy asteroids. This game could use a bit more explanation. The whole thing's just a bit confusing.

After Big Dolphin there is Sheep in Sling I think, which I couldn't really see clearly because of the speed I had at that moment, but it was some badly drawn pink-purple thing. I didn't reach the last one, Don't Panic, but I saw a video of a 6.9m game where the player reaches it, and it's basically the Don't Panic logo from the HHGTTG series. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-EUocPEdq36E/TaOdGkNjQUI/AAAAAAAAAGg/Xuq7goBA3jQ/s1600/Don%2527t+Panic+1.png

controls are really difficult and frustrating to master. after that (for me about 300-400 plays for 3 days :D), it's a really nice game. But the COMBO system need some in-game explanation.

Got the badge! Damn! Took me one hour. Just keep trying, and don't lose your combo! With a 30x multiplier you'll get it! Good Luck! (:

Ok I got 918k so far, and this what I've been doing:
- Get used to Reaction Landings (Ohbye explains it), you'll use them a lot. Just play casually til you get it.
- You won't be able to aim like you wanted to when you're fast (and it goes REALLY fast), use your speed to destroy asteroids, especially the little ones. Also if you're far from the Red Giant, you can destroy some big ones too.
Then start working on your combo:
- Launch down, you'll get a few multipliers and the Red Giant won't catch you (unless you're unlucky and don't find any asteroids in your way, like me).
- Reaction Landings. Enough said.
- Destroy as many asteroids as you can in one launch (according to your speed, of course).
- If you'll feel like you'll lose the combo, JUMP DOWN! Sun Dive will keep your combo up! This works well when you don't have enough time to aim.

pretty poor controls when suddenly you are rotating around a planet at warp speed and end up launching directly into the red giant.

The music and visuals are awesome, but +1 to comments that the game play is out of whack. There's way too much luck involved in getting the planets to align correctly and the learning curve is too steep without anything to encourage players along the way (bonuses, etc...) Getting to 1 million, the game is just getting tedious and unenjoyable.. so 3/5 for me.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
This game sucks. until you understand how to control yourself, then the hard badge is nothing more than tedious. Definitely takes some practice :)

What intrigues me the most with games like this (it's a bit similar to Dolphin Olympics 2) is to find out what bonuses are in the sky (moon, saturn and etc). How many of these are there? I reached the satellite (or whatever that was) is there anything exciting beyond it?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I actually got the hard badge so listen up - not only is speed not everything, TOO MUCH SPEED IS ACTUALLY BAD. If you get going too fast, hold the up key so that you crush anything you hit. This will reliably preserve your combo and direction until you slow down enough to be able to maneuver in a controlled manner again.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
A little help for the hard badge:
1. Reaction landings explained in Ohbye comment to get speed and some score
2. Always maintaining the combo, it doesn't matter if you have to sun dive, just do everything fast so you don't lose the combo
3. Breaking asteroids combo (here's where you'll got the most score, a 12 break combo gives around 40000 score to the multiplier) to do this you'll just need pretty much speed and some luck with candy bars
This game isn't really about luck, after some tries, i can get 1.000.000 pretty much every try doing this.
