According to it.. it goes with that Formule 2^n So it multiplies by 2... This would be something related to the Formule

The game feels very different then the one on my Ipad mini. It's not smooth... And it is abnormally large. And the numbers aren't the correct color. That is, above 128.

The theoretical maximum number of points in this game is 3,932,100, where you never spawn 4s except for the required 15 times to completely fill the board. The true maximum is around 3,866,626, where you spawn 4s at the normal rate. The playable maximum is obviously much lower than either of these. I would venture that 390k is basically not breakable. It's equivalent to getting the 16,384 tile about 12 times in a row. Though if you did have the skill to break it, you'd basically guarantee yourself another 80k points.

For those who don't know original, it's here: http://git.io/2048. Lack of smooth movement is not only a visual issue, people wouldn't complain so much about not understanding what is going on if they could see what happens. Anyway, it's strictly inferior to the original. By design, in fact; why would anyone make a Flash version of a Javascript game?

Having beat this game (got to 2048) on the original site the trick to beating this game is to keep the high squares all in one corner, so basically just press left and down as much as you can because then you'll start to get large values in the bottom left, and small ones towards the top right. Just knowing this can easily get you to 5k plus scores after a few tries, you'll learn some other small tricks as you play.

First try: I got about 2300 points. Cool.
Next try: I got about 2560. And it says it's my best... instead of trying to get as close to 2048 as I can, I guess. No matter. Nice music. 3/5

@sinarq That is close to the theoretical maximum for points in the game. At that score, you would have a 65536 tile on the board and are well on your way to your second. To answer your question, no, it's not legit. He either hacked spawns or hacked the score itself.

"Use arrow keys to move tiles" is entirely insufficient instructions. There may be an interesting game here, it's hard to tell. The music is decent, though.

Don't know the original some are talking about. But I love those "simple rules but hard to win" puzzle games. So I love this one. 5/5.

incredibly poor instructions; if you want to make a game where players have to figure out the rules, tell them that it's part of the game.

Why do I do so much better when I randomly smash arrow keys than when I actually try to think carefully and plan every move? o.o

STRATEGY:
you gotta concentrate the bigger number on one corner (I do bottom left) and smaller ones covering around it then with a stair-like move you can get rid of the number around and make the corner number bigger.
just drop the numbers and add them up focusing on the corner.

the only change I wish would be made is if you've got 4 in a row of one number, and you go along it, that they'd collapse into the final result *i.e. 4 2's in a row collapsing into an 8 rather than 2 4's*

Despite the fact that it is impossible, that doesn't stop you from spending mammoth amounts of time trying to attain that impossibility.

I wish only the only blocks that spawned were 2s. If you're almost out of room, you often find yourself at the mercy of the cruel Random Number God, and if it spawns a 4 instead of the 2 you were hoping for... you're f'd.

If you're looking at these comments, you probably don't understand what the hell is going on in this game. Welcome to the club.

bug: if you attempt an illegal move, it adds a new tile nevertheless. Also, the original version has better performance and supports touch controls.
