I had a hard time losing after I got over 2048 points.. I resorted to smashing buttons, but kept getting a better score.

Well, it would be cool if I could get the game controls to work consistently, but I cannot. Cool game concept so not down rating since it may be my version of flash or FF that I am using which is creating the issue.

I tried the "keep your highest in the corner and don't press up" strategy and got 2200. Then I tried the "press random buttons" strategy and got 3500. Try both!

An easy way to get to 2048 is to keep your highest number in the corner and slide the other numbers in. Arrange them in descending order at the bottom row and build from the small one and just keep sliding in. Never ever press up. Just go either left/right/down.

To easily get the badge: Press down,right, down, right, and so on until you can't move anymore, then hit left. then go back to down,right,down,right... and repeat this process until you have well over double the score required. in this example, NEVER hit up. ever.

This game shouldn't have a badge, it's an illegitimate copy of the original one, it's a shame to reward vulture devs for stealing game. Beside that, it's not even as good as Cirulli's version. Moreover, some great games around here on Kong, from devs publishing their OWN games, with their OWN ideas, will never get badges and thus will have less chances to be upvoted and rewarded. I'm disappointed.

The game wasn't ported properly and is more difficult than originally intended. You're supposed to be able to continue playing when the screen is full as long as you have things to combine.

Just added some clarification to the badge description: You only need 2048 points, NOT creating a square of 2048. If this doesn't seem like an easy badge, just focus on putting stuff in corners, and only use 3 directions unless you absolutely need to use a 4th.

My advice ? Just try to get your block in the top left (any corner is fine, it's just what I do), and fill your top line, ascending from left to right. Like 32-64-128-256. Do not ever go down (except if you really have to), and try to always have your top line filled, that way, your highest square won't leave his corner. I played the original on my phone for a few days, I just beat it today, and just beat it on kongregate on 1st try. BAYLIEVEEEEE.

2048 is for your SCORE; you don't need to build a tile that totals 2048. I feel there should be a hard/impossible badge for a 2048 tile, though.
