Update got another run like that but used whirlwind and execute. The skeleton survived longer than the boss because he was immune to skills :) An incredible game I'll probably come back soon.

Oh my god, I just had the best run! So late into the game, I got the water set and I didn't think much of it. Then I found an INT potion and my INT was at 200 which means 100% uptime for everything. I had ashield so the enemies could never kill me and I got all the way to the end and killed the boss without him damaging me even once. I missed 3 paths worth of stats. Imagine if I has a skill that did damage :D

Started again today to get the last Badge and this time I spend more time to "learn" the game. :)

Great game, good job. I had way too much fun playing it :)
The only thing i missed was some kind of indication of many stats points are needed for how much effect. For example, how much will my damage increase if I get 5 more Strength? How much wisdom do I need to get another -1? Ofc you learn it on your own along the way, but it was a bit frustrating at times.
Honestly even a boring list in the menu would do fine :)

Great feedback, and that was indeed one of my concerns. I wanted to throw that in that but had trouble figuring out a good place to put it in an already busy UI. In a new version I would probably have time to put it in a tooltip or something. Thanks for playing!

Once you start getting the upgraded ability slots the run just kind of ends. Went from having half of the top lane to the end left to do to suddenly being told I won. Great game. Was quite the ride.
You were a bit ahead of the curve :) I had to throw in some strong boosters because people were having trouble completing the game, but it sounds like you just rode that wave instead. Thanks for the comment!

if not for the fact this game almost crashed firefox for me, and my computer forcefully wont let me play, i would play more. its really fun, but my computer is very unhappy with me using it as a gaming computer.

Fav set: 2/3 fire, 2 water, then just apply berserk and keep applying it whenever it comes off cooldown. The cooldown is so low it stacks and the agility and endurance just grow so fast. Got to like 400% with a wind buff and decimated the final boss.

Now that I think about it.. you probably don't need advanced judgement, since the last mob isn't a skeleton. And depending on how the last stage is set up, you don't need much wis either. Just need to use it at the right time
Yea there are a few ways to set up the win. From what I've seen from posts, adv judgment can allow you to take some of the bottom routes which may give you a better time.

Apparently you can finish the game with Advanced Judgement without ever seeing the boss, as long as you have a lot of wisdom and activate it on the previous stage, which is what happened to me~

Really underwhelming and boring. It's just waiting and occasionally clicking on a piece of loot. No music, no sound, horrible graphics, no animations. This is what gets you 4 stars?
Appreciate you giving it a shot :) I'm always willing to take risks in design and here I was experimenting with a game all about loot selection. It's all good if the concept doesn't stick with some people.

I've played the game for quite a while now, and I found a favorite strategy; stacking Beserks by upgrading INT with the water set and potions. Question regarding stacking Beserk, if the timer for a previous Beserk runs out while the next one is active, do you retain the buff from that previous one or does it decrease accordingly? Is the term "stacking" correct at all (i.e do they really stack, or does using beserk again just reset the cooldown)?
Paf got to it before me, so yea there's no stacking. It was something I played around with when making the game and as you can imagine, it was TOO broken.

Really enjoyed the game! Went pretty fast from "eeerm what??!!?" to "oooh, so this is how it goes!" with so many things to figure out about how the game works. Some would say it might be frustrating to have to figure out how the game works, I personally love it when the game is done logically as yours is <3
p.s. also loved the bunny slippers and the pyjama set from the very beginning, made me giggle :D
Thanks, really appreciate it! When I first had the idea I thought "how in the world am I going to do a game like this?" so I made my best effort to string all the ideas together and present it well. I agree that it can seem unusual/overwhelming, but I'm glad to hear you figured it all out.

After two years of playing on and off, I finally played through and beat it. Then I immediately beat it again. Then I immediately beat it again WHILE clearing every single area. It goes by so fast that I have no time to ever figure out what I want, and I love it.

Welp insane run happened , got a lot of wis so 1 clear per stage, until the last path then somehow managed to get enough int to perma berserk ,so I cleared a lot of rewards then accidently used brokefang strat

physically cannot progress any further, ive cleared all routes up to a certain point but its no longer possible to progress ,
Not bad so far :) There's a couple things you can try at this point. 1) try different skill loadouts. Some skills are better than others at certain routes. 2) try different elemental sets, same reason as point #1. If you don't have sets unlocked, try focusing on different stats. Some stats can be better on certain routes as well. Good luck!

So...that was a thing that just happened. Got to the end, got killed. Went back, cleared everything else out, and by the time I got to the final section I had enough wisdom that stage requirements were only 2 to move on. Got to the battle before the final one, popped a wisdom pot to reduce it down to 1 per, and defeated the last monster with the Sword - Judgement skill. Due to it giving 3 victories, it auto cleared the final level and I won.

Just got my first win with 4 earth set pieces and 2 water set pieces with advanced skill execute and advanced skill snipe with only 3 seconds left and 38 health remaining. Very well made game, greatly enjoyed.

Came back to replay because of botd, and I just hit a 74s speedrun! The strategy: beserk+fortress to start increasing attack speed for early game (with fortress in case I need to extend zerk, and for invincibility), with adv judgement in 3rd slot. Then go full bottom tree for min board annoyances and max board speedups. Focus on getting a total of 200 int via water set + potions as early as possible, then spam judgement until victory! Drink all other potions on acquisition. One key: I unlocked everything on the board but the earth elemental set, making water, water, and wind the only drops. An interesting note: I had 2 fire gear from previous run, including a legend 7* wyvern feet that gave everything but wis.
That's a hell of a run, certainly faster than my best one. I'm glad you figured out not only the core concept of switching builds throughout the game, but also mid-run. Tbh I didn't even take the bottom path for a long time (I used to take the top one) so it's super impressive to see how much you figured out!

I played this game back in 2020 and it's interesting to see how much the game has changed. Heh, it would probably take me much longer to get the badges now. And like everyone else is saying, it's amazing to see how you still respond to every comment.
Whoa, you're a super old school player then, must've been within the first few days I put it up! Yea it was very tricky figuring out how to display all this information correctly so it experienced some evolution.

Easily the most entertaining game I've played on this site in the past week. simple yet fun, got me to burn an hour of the down time in the office.
