Sorry to say i broke your game. If you use the second sword ability in the second to last node when you have 1 fight to advance, you win the game inmediately.
Appart from that bug (sorry again), really a nice game! Enjoyed myself through it a lot
It's actually a built in ability :) Judgment was not a popular move in the early days so I wanted to make sure it had viability in the end game. I think it's a bit overtuned now that players understand how to use the skill better now. Regardless, thanks for the feedback and for playing!

3 fire and 2 wind. makes it a lot easier. especially getting 3 fire at early to increase your strength early on. to be honest I don't know what the heck I'm doing but i finish it and I enjoy it. 5/5

Small addendum: If you have 3 adv. skills already unlocked, the shield fortress skill is a good third ability, it helps with the cooldown so you can go infinite berserk with lower intelligence
Oh nice, I actually never thought of that. I'm used to people talking about infinite berserk at endgame, but that's a great way to obtain it early on. Great find!

Ok So I just also found a killer combination. Adv hail to slow enemies, Adv berserk for the endurance and agility growth, and just any third one. Key: A lot of intelligence. If you can get the cooldown of endurance below the duration, then you can have it run permanently, and it keeps on increasing; it does not reset when you reactivate. At the end I had +600 endurance from that, it was nuts. Fun game!

I just used a strength potion and died from full health and was docked 30 seconds for the death... someone explain to me how this makes sense?
Interesting, that's the first time I've heard of that scenario. I can't think of what conditions could cause that other than some very specific combinations like an endurance potion running out just as you take a punch from a golem or something.

Regardless of whether I have slow mode checked or not I always get to halfway through and the timer runs out... this game seems to be broken for me
Sorry to hear that. My only advice if you haven't done so already is to try different routes. If you're blocked on one, then you may be able to conquer other stages to pick up some upgrades. Different routes has different strategies as well, so playing with multiple builds/stats might do the trick. Hope that helps!

I accidentally did the same thing as crocodileman. Kind of dissapointing cuz I was having an amazing run; when I started I wasn't even planning on making it to the boss group of stages. Well, next time gotta be sure to not use it then haha.

HOW TO HIGH SCORE:
Perhaps I'm feeling nostalgic from the passing of this site, here's what you do to get a fast time:
1. After all the paths are unlocked, play all the way through, but go back one area when you get to the final boss/area
2. Farm 6 pieces of gear with the water bonus/ skill cool down reduction. Don't worry about lowering other stats.
3. Prioritize water bonus gear, then intelligence increase. You only want high int score water gear.
4. When time is almost out, or you are board farming gear, move forward to the last area and take out the final boss.
5. Click to play another game.
6. Select the following skills : Axe-Adv Execute, Bow-Adv Hail, Sword-Adv Judgement.
7. Start another game.
8. Immediately activate Bow-Adv Hail, and then the other two skills.

9. LOOT: Prioritize taking intelligence potions (don't use them right away), then keeping at least two pieces of water bonus gear, then gear that increases your intelligence. It's ok to select items that don't give the water bonus if they increase your intelligence AND you already have 2 pieces of water gear, AND an intelligence potion isn't available.
10. Advance up to Adventure Acres 5, and farm there until your skill cool down from gear and water bonuses is high enough that using all of your intelligence potions at once will put your skill cool down at %100 or higher. At that point, skills recharge instantly.
11. Use all your intelligence potions at once.
12. Do not pick up loot past this point; Focus only on spamming the Sword-Adv Judgement skill.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
13. Move on to the next area (Broken Badlands) by clicking the up arrow.
14. Spam the Sword-Adv Judgement skill as quickly as you can for the rest of the run. Use only this skill.
15. At the end of Broken Badlands 5, move to the next area (Freaky Forrest) by clicking the down arrow. This is the last time during the run that you'll need to input anything besides the Sword-Adv Judgement spam.
If this all is done correctly, you should be able to glide to and beat the end of the game before the intelligence poition(s) wear out.
16. Enjoy your personal best score.
I'm right there with you on the passing of this site. It was such a great place to find (and post) fun and risky ideas. Not only that, but the audience was awesome. It's got people like you that give thorough feedback and willingly make guides just like that. I hope everyone here - players and devs alike - can find a similar place to call home in the future. Thanks for being a great player, you make it worth it to us devs :)

omg i love this game so much but I cant chat for some reason it keeps saying no chat rooms found does anyone know why its saying that plus will there be a part 2
Thanks a lot :) I have bad news for you though, Kongregate is shutting down the chat rooms except for only the biggest games, so that's a huge bummer! At the moment I'm prototyping several game ideas before going with a winning concept. If I end up choosing this game, there will definitely be a full version.
Nope, sorry. I am focused on rapid prototyping so I can try as many ideas as possible, so sound doesn't make the cut. Luckily it's one of the easier things to add in a full version if this is the prototype I choose to go with!

Great game! You know the rewards you are gonna get in each path but there's still the rng of the loot to keep the rogue-like game behaviour. Mechanics are good and everything works smoothly. Skills and explanations are user friendly as well. 5/5 from me with the only complaint being that it's kinda short
Thanks for the feedback, that's a great breakdown! I tried a few new things here and I'm happy it all worked out in the end to be a cohesive experience :)

A well developed RPG with a different mechanic in the middle of so many Idle games on Kong is a really good sight. Keep up the good work devs!

Im surprised, still to this day you reply to comments AND you listen to the community, barely any developers do that anymore, (i.e. the dev of NGU replies to almost all comments) im honestly surprised, i thought the game was going to be a bit trashy but I really ended up enjoying it! thanks for making such an amazing game!
To be spoken in the same line as 4G is an honor lol. I figure you guys are putting thought and time in your comments so I should do the same. I do learn a lot about what's working and not working though, so it helps me with how to update or how to make my games better in the future. Thanks for kind words :)
That's pretty unusual actually, as I did implement saves. Some other users have reported browser issues so you might be able to get it working with another browser.

Best way to speedrun is going all up, having execute judgment and hail, and rushing 200 int
Basically all up you meet a lot of 5 hp enemies whom hail kills fast, buying everything that gives int, spamming execution to raise strength which enhances judgment, once 200 int is reached only spam judgment to make sure to kill the last enemy with it and skip zones
My best is 1m 44s
I used to do that same strat myself. I later realized some players were taking the bottom route which sounded weird to me since there are lots of skill-immune mobs. However, adv. judgment penetrates that immunity so people use that to plow through. Needs a lot of luck with INT drops but you might find some success with that. Love the strats, thanks for playing :)

amazing game, just finished a run barely over 3 minutes. Had a blast completing the game (Though I sadly never got a mythic drop :P)

98 INT gives -49% skill cooldown reduction so I could repeat berserker before it droped to 0 = 208 agility + 208% attack speed. I've got it after unlocking almost everything so it was fun with fire set. (couldn't edit my comment before this one).
Yea that's something I was happy to achieve with the game design. Although maxing out INT for infinite skills is very strong, it's not really possible until later in the game so it's a neat gift to the players that stick around. Thanks for playing!

I'm a huge proponent for setting out your course before starting your run. I was slightly annoyed by having to pick a direction while I was frantically focusing on which item completed my fire set while simultaneously keep my skills engine running. Making this an unlockable feature would be neat!
Appreciate the feedback :) Yea that one has been brought up a few times. I'm not 100% sure yet but I think a full version may have a non-timed run be done for each world first, and then that unlocks the speedrun challenge mode you see in this game. That way the player has plenty of time to practice or learn the game systems before tackling the mode. Still thinking on this one!

"reflect damage" seem to be immune against golems, somehow? I still got defeated when using this skill, which got active and should prevent the enemies from attacking, while golems even own no "ignore skill"-effect.
Yea it's not entirely obvious, but while it does reflect damage, it doesn't actually block damage (so that the 2 shield abilities don't overlap). I'll try to make this clearer next time around :)
For sure :) I designed it with a little bit of timing in mind, where you want to start revving the engine before tackling a hard area. At higher INT levels you can just keep casting it forever though!

Great game! I love the unique concept, and the play time was right - I had to explore everything to win, but it never dragged.

5/5 game, do you plan on making updates? Or will you consider uploading the game elsewhere? I ask just because kong just closed its doors to new games :(
That's a great question actually, lots of Kong devs have been scrambling to find a new home. Luckily I have a few placeholders in place and shouuuld be able to upload new games here for the time being. LLL is currently on hold as I'm making new prototypes. By the end of the prototyping phase I'll look at all the responses to my games and decide on which one to turn into a full version. I'll do my best to communicate with people here on where I go if things change!

Lots of fun. After I beat it I tried to get an entire dragon suit, took forever to get the headpiece. Also fun how you can get high enough intelligence that spell just instantly recover. All in all good game
Haha I like the ambition on going for the full suit. Of course I don't have any bonuses in place for that but I'd love to try new mechanics around that in the future. Thanks for playing!
Haha no prob, I liked seeing your progression! You're right there's a number of strong strats but I did intend it to be that way. For this prototype I wanted to give the players a chance to find something on their own that maybe matched their playstyle, so I loved seeing what everyone ended up coming up with. A full version would have some tougher challenges for sure to test all you players who have figured out the game well :)

Tried a few times fastest I've managed is 2 minutes 0 seconds, anyone manage faster? Very addictive game, highscores would be nice.

Love the game, it is very fun. I also like how the dev actually responds to comments and checks how people like the game. Keep making amazing games man
Really appreciated it! I've enjoyed all the comments and suggestions and I think that kind of conversation would make future games only better so thank you and everyone for the support :)
