@biopower - It was a DOS-based RPG, but I converted it to Flash (and added graphical improvement). I can send you the original if you want.

Two ideas, for the sequel: 1: Different music, for different areas (so it doesn't always sound like I'm in a battle, even when I'm buying equipment). 2: Spells from the Drain family (for draining HP and MP from enemies... For example, I cast Drain on something, hurt it for (some amount), and get that amount as HP Restoration for me), or I cast Osmose on something, and drain its MP. A combo of the two would be nice, as well (though it'd have to cost a LOT to learn it, because it'd be such a great spell). If Drain spells seem too empowering, you could make a quest requirement, for learning them. I hope these ideas help.

Well, it said to 'expect to die a lot" in this difficulty. I'm playing as a Mage, so that's nothing new. Mages (to start with) usually 'die a lot' anyway.... then, they get stronger than the other choice/s, and can obliterate things with a mere wave of their hand, or heal themselves (and maybe others) by pointing at their wounds.

I found the use for endurance, it appears.
When you die, you have a 50% chance to rip the hourglass from Death's, and you rapidly flip it over. Death smiles at you. (Game over prevention) A handy skill when you kill your enemy, and they kill you as well.
