i get it that the pit the last farm map is but there is 1 problem doing the 3rd raid and that is you need insane much green papers for healing and can the book time stand always in base and given respawn timer for his books i miss him a lot
It's true, on some lower end machines and in internet explorer the game could use some optimization. It's an active area of progress. Performance is very important to me, so I plan to continuously make the game run a little bit faster with each update in the future. By the way, it may sound strange, but upgrading your graphics card drivers and browsers can make a huge difference here. The game uses WebGL, which is still a relatively new technology on the web, and browser as well as hardware vendors are constantly working to get it to run better on their end.

I've been noticing some very strange behaviour with the healers; they have a tendency to randomly retreat from battle, running off away from everyone to do nothing in particular for a while (especially noticeable in raids, where there's actually room for them to get away from it all). I can't think of any reason why they're doing so, since they're explicitly disengaging from monsters and valid healing targets to go do nothing.

Unfortunately, the game always crashes when the second raid boss (Goblin) dies - you can still see the map, but the UI disappears and nothing can be done. Firefox.
That's really strange, I've been getting a few of these reports over the days and haven't been able to reproduce them. Can you tell me which version of Firefox you are using? You can see it by clicking on the options menu on the top right, then the "?" and then "About Firefox". Much thanks for the 5/5 though, really means a lot to me. We'll get this game to 4.0 average rating sooner or later!

Also it's consistently disconcerting for me to realise the equipment is below the inventory button but the equipment screen opens above the inventory screen

question: is "Pabulum Pit" the last farming area? I'm stuck on that, can't go further.
suggestion: Make the AI search for enemies every second after the enemy died, rather than the first closest enemy. Makes my knights go and suicide in some areas

@Pitforest - Thanks for quick response. Yeah, I had a feeling was cache files, was reading something about the js localStorage function. It's just nice doing the network sync, I can do all games at once as opposed to individual export, copy to second machine, and then import. Will perservere :p
That's pretty gud! Just for your information, with 10 hitstreak books equipped on a single raider, the probability of that happening is about 0.2% starting from 0 hitstreak!

Where are the actual save game files actually stored on your drive? Not sure how it works for HTML5 games. I usually sync directories through shared folders over my network, want to do the same with this game if I can.
The ones you export in the options get stored wherever your browser typically stores files (for example, on Chrome your users Download directory by default). The automatic savegame is not saved to a file. Rather, there's the HTML5 construct of "localStorage", which is kind of a local cache inside your browser that shouldn't get deleted unless the user specifically asks for it. If you want to make backup of your saves or sync them, I suggest regularly exporting them (via the options menu in the bottom right).

plz make the golds usefully . ex:adding some construction in the base to improve the power of raiders like the class changing-upgrading system or other improvement.
Highscores can take a while to update. Although I must admit I'm not really submitting them in an optimal manner, I could do it in a way such that they get updated faster. I will change it in the next patch.

Love the game so far. Please tell me that save will transfer from alpha to beta to complete? I will cry if I have to start over.
There's a good chance I will keep backwards compatibility for all versions of the game. However, there's an even better chance you're going to want to replay the game several times, because the differing experiences in between playthroughs could be pretty huge.

i love the game so far. got a couple of suggestions: can you divide the heals more? use a counter that increases each frame and resets after 3 only the mage who 'owns' the frame can cast a heal. that could help with the problem of the heal spam at raid bosses. where the warrior takes 1 hit ang gets healed 3 times. maybe make it so they only heal when they can heal more than just a sliver from the first hit.

healers need to prioritize lowest health allies. this whole leaving one guy on 40hp while healing the dude who only took one hit shit is annoying
Yes, this will be fixed. But in a more interesting manner than you would think! There will be AI upgrades in the game which you can unlock, which will allow you to manipulate the behavior of the raiders, or just flat out make it better. Your example is a good one (different prioritization strategies for healers), or maybe an upgrade where your healer always places AOE heals such that it hits the maximum possible number of raiders. There's a lot of potential in that system and I think players will like it!

1) Game is to slow you need to ptimise it. For game with pixel grafic it eats too much
2) Players need some means to control dungeonmans/heroes Formations Stances or even move to location button and atack marker. Some abilyty to control prioryty of healing damaging reatreating and choosing targets.
3) Rebalance ! Tank and Priest have same ammount of hp on the same lavel ! WHY ??????? .. i think we need more spesiolide forses

Great foundation for a potentially amazing game! might a suggest a upgrade system for the raiders, i.e. being able to change wizard from healer to firemage, frostmage, blackmage... and the same aplies to all raiders in thier respective fields. also i was thinking maybe u could add a summon ability, and when u fight bosses like the dragon they join your team; which can also be leveled up and as they level up they gain skills... ie. level 5 u get flamethrower, level 10 fire bite..... really excited about this game... so much potential, i hope u implement some major updates.. i know its still in the alpha stage but 5*'s so far!

Last raid boss, only the first killed drops an item. Makes it pointless fighting it. Also the fighting speed is too slow, speed it up and speed up enemies, make it more frantic. Add in upgrades, customization, more bosses.. not enough content, and the farming levels are boring. Make them more interesting, more loot, more rare drops, item tiers etc. Just some ideas

Bug report : Picking up items that exceed your inventory cap and get placed down below outside of your inventory making you unable to click on them, when you use other items and they get placed in the newly opened up slot you can actually use them. I don't know if you planned for it to be like a queue when you exceed your inventory cap but the items stacking below your inventory look silly and are practically useless until you free up space for them. (I'm not sure if it also works for bought items this way since I only discovered it with picked up items)

I found a bug that makes killing the dragon way too easy: if you simply move the map away from it (or click the base view), its breath weapon effect appears in the wrong spot and makes it pretty much defenceless.

The merchant could sell atleast 3+ items each time, because after some time buying 1 by 1 book each time, saves up some gold and annoys me

For those who are confuse the healing tomes stack individually and it has a cooldown that is after the healer heal and since it stacks individually it will be a chance on each item with 20% and then it will be 20% from the first book 20% again from the second book and 20% from the third book.HOWEVER you will notice sometimes that you will heal more than the current books you have and that is because if the FIRST PROC it will give another CHANCE to PROC using the same book until it will not proc and will proceed to the second book proc.(RIP ENGLISH)

Interesting feature/bug: if a raider had bronze armor equipped (+50%hp) and then the equipment is taken off, the excexx hp remains. And raider has current hp>max hp. Life line overfllows :)

Hello everyone! As some of you might have noticed, the game was broken for a couple of minutes. I tried to upload the next update (details in the dev log), but while it worked in the preview version kongregate shows do devs before pushing the update live, it just crashed the game once I released it into the wild. I rolled the game back to the version from yesterday evening (a 0.1d) and will get 0.1e working as soon as possible. I apologize for any inconvenience caused!

Game froze after defeating the second raid-boss. Reloading just produced a black screen.

I think you should know this - after all it's a alpha-release.
Besides this - very nice game. Love the concept. A bit more life outside the dungeon would be nice. (Like gathering resources, building up something or crafting / sellingown weapons)
