Under rating threshold (show) Don't change the last level. It's appropriately hard. It only took me three passes to win. I went back and got all the stars that I could in order to make sure my guys were beefed up enough.

Under rating threshold (show) Just a thought. Maybe you could extra stars or some other perk for beating the levels on the harder difficulties. Right now there is not much incentive to do so.

Under rating threshold (show) the "hire 600units" is not the only badge that needs some adjusting. i've finished the game, all 24 levels 3stars, and i'm still 116/400 on the "cast protection" badge, 82/200 on "use mind control" and 257/400 on "kill w/ meteor". others are incomplete too, but the numbers are closer. anyway, the point is, maybe you could group some achievements (like the ones that are somewhat complementary, i.e. soldiers resurrected with protection cast, and lightning kills with meteor kills. alternatively, add some kind of endless mode. that would make grinding less of a bore. that being said, even with these minor complaints, this is the best strategy game i've played here on kongregate. very well done! looking forward to your next game.

Under rating threshold (show) I don't mind that the last level is hard. I don't mind that I'm loosing it a couple of times. I do mind that you've taken away my choice. Untill this level, I have had the options of which units to buy, or at least which upgrade-path I wanted to take. At the very last level of the game, you take that away. If you wanted to limit my selection to afew units, you could have started the level with them, and given a few waves of easy monsters. That way, I was still left with an upgrade-option instead of no choice at all.

Under rating threshold (show) Hire 600 units? Seriously? Why put in such a grind for an achievement to keep the game "incompleted" after 3-star-finishing all maps at actually only 200 hired units?

Under rating threshold (show) Hah! I just realized that when you shift to Insane difficulty on an earlier level, it carries over automatically -- no wonder I couldn't beat the last level!! DOH! But even on Normal, it took a lot of micro-management. That said, I accidentally beat the next to last level on Insane for 3 stars..... :)

Under rating threshold (show) really nice game.. it remembers me on my teenage days where i was playing WC3 with heavy micro based fights.. in this point.. it felt a bit like it but i could not handle it probber because there are some issues in a strategy game like WC3 or SC2 you walk and attack with the right klick because it never will happen that, you klick an unit to mark it and some other units walk there because u dont hit on the first klick.. sometimes infuryating... to geht even more controll it would be nice to arrange the uits in groups.. the formation button is really nice but if u wanna have a line mixed with other trups it gets a bit to sorted.. knights on top rouges on bottem and so on.. but thats remembers me a bit on smoe other strategy games thats nothing abought making this game bad.. its great ind i had a lot fun but there are some improvements i would like to see

Right mouse key right now can't be used in flashplayer ( It would change everything. Groups like in SC1-2 (ctrl+number) are already implemented, just check the instructions. You can also add new units into selection by holding CTRL button and clicking those units.

Under rating threshold (show) I think it would be better if you replaced the summon cooldown with a limited number of summons. The effect would be the same, minus having to wait for the cooldown to occur.

Under rating threshold (show) @Platon Skedow, it might be worth changing the achievement description/name from "kill x soldiers" to "lose x soldiers" as kill would imply it is your actions causing the deaths, either that they're enemies or that you need to kill them with abilities like arrow rain and the like

Under rating threshold (show) Excellent game! However, it is frustrating to place skill points into units you don't intend to use only to start a level with a bunch of those particular units. I would much rather have the option to purchase my own units at the beginning of each level.

Under rating threshold (show) I've been grinding a level trying to get from two to three stars and felt like I finally aced it. The victory screen came up and I got one star. I officially have no idea how stars are awarded, which makes the medium badge more than a little frustrating.

Lose 3+ hearts to get 2 stars, lose 2\3 hearts to get 1 star. Otherwise 3 stars are awarded.

Under rating threshold (show) Not sure if this is already mentioned: I simply get confused when or where to upgrade units. Sometimes I am able to buy reinforcements, sometimes not, sometimes I can upgrade, sometimes not, wtf...

You can hire units during the deployment mode. It happens not in every mission, and can't be called by player's actions. On the other hand, any tier1 unit (swordsman, priest, blue mage, archer and rogue) can be upgraded to tier2, when they get elite veterancy status. More info can be found in the ingame guidebook.

Under rating threshold (show) Happened to me 3 times now on different maps that the game got stuck, displaying a still image of random animations that just happened. I can move my units around, but the enemy doesn't advance anymore, forcing me to restart the level.

Under rating threshold (show) Hi! First of all: Nice Game! Some things that bothered me: there are no rewards for higher difficulty - i mean its fun trying to complete the nightmare levels, but it would be nice to get some benefit from it. Achievements: I'm at lvl24 and missing 12 achievements/stars-to-upgrade. Endurance badges are ok to keep the motivation up, but for example the "mind control" and "protection shield"-achv. are little bit nerve wrecking, since u cant really control them. But maybe i just criticizing too hard and combine my 2 complaints and be just silent and happy :D

No. Some tier1 units have unique abilities (e.g. slow, poison, enchant), and player can decide whether he needs more tough units or he needs those tier1 abilities. This adds more variety in tactics.

Use QWERT to select units by type. Also use double click on a unit to select all units of its type. Use ctrl+number (or shift+number) to set a group of selected units, and press that number again to select that group. There's some other controls in the game, read the description or ingame guidebook.

Under rating threshold (show) The game is overall really good,really like it.And will give it five stars but there is room for improvement.I don't see the point of a level where you don't get to choose your fighters and where you don't get to choose the reinforcements yourself.Just clicking on the upgrades and maybe positioning them during a level seems rather boring.On the last level you don't even have to do that.They are already in the circle-place reinforcements there and if you have many stars and upgrades it's smooth sailing.And shortkeys-hm surely it would be more logical if a short key for warriors was w(the letter the word starts with) and not for archers.But overall the game is really good and kongregate really should add another achievement for it.

Under rating threshold (show) Very nice game. Good mechanics, every unit was useful (and a tip: a good mix does always the trick). The cleric is good, yeah, but a monk in the group makes it actually easier. The sniper is good, yeah, but only with a crossbowman you crack the hardest enemies in seconds (on top that he fights well vs. enemy rogues/teleport creeps). A knight can withhold even a group of trolls, but the swordmaster can kill groups of melee enemies or single large units. And don't forget the assassins and spys, who shred all ranged units AND can shift positions without getting a back stab. I give this game a 4/5 only because the intro blows my ears off everytime although I have muted the game. A game I truly love asks if I want to start it muted (including the intro!). Again: Very nicely done game!

Thanks. Snipers also have fast legs, and wider range, and can be useful at disabling witches and archers. Sound buttons will be added in the next update. Sorry for that, I had to add it from the beginning.

Under rating threshold (show) Tips for final level: Fully upgrade all of your starting troops: monk, cleric, red mage, assassin, spy, crossbowman, sniper, and swordmaster. This includes upgrading their attack and defense by 3. Also be a little more conservative with King Aldric because if he dies you automatically lose. What worked best for me was keeping my monk and cleric in the middle of my group and using my thieves to attack enemies who attacked from a distance. Good luck

Click a button in the top left corner to toggle game speed faster. There's no need in "slower" button, cause there's already tactical pause (spacebar). Use it to oversee the battlefield and issue your orders without any rush.
