If you are a completionist, spam shockwave at enemies it won't kill. Having gotten every other achievement, I am only half way through the 100 stops. I even tried to grind a few levels for shockwave shots, but only gain a few per level.

Good game, but about midway through the second act, becomes fairly simple. A setup of one of every non-premium soldier + an extra engineer (or cut medic for two extra engineers) and I beat everything, including hard levels, on first try. Engineers appear to have the highest DPS in the game when you factor in crit and accuracy, and with maxed skills, a single engineer will give you 12-13 extra AP over the course of the game. With 2 engineers, you can get level 2 damage boost for everyone and level 3 shields for the front line.

I was able to beat nearly the entirety of act 3 using only Heavy units. When maxed out, their aoe attacks will take out waves of tiny units in seconds. Save all your stun grenades on either ninjabots, guncrabs, or hammerbots because they will be your biggest threats while using this class. It also helps to have all your damage-related relics maxed out (specifically splash dmg or armor-piercing).
It took me a few tries to handle the final level of act 3 (hard mode). I used a mixture of Heavies, Marines, and one Medic because the enemies are fast and relentless. Save all your action points for specials like "fire team" and "magnetic storm" because you'll be needing them throughout the battle. Anyway, another great game by an excellent dev, 5/5.

I would recommend it but I am entirely against any game that has premium anything, by all means sell ways to unlock things faster or level up faster or even make side-grade characters but after finishing act 1 the commander is clearly better than....well everyone else

I really love this game and that reminds me of something that crossed my mind, was that girl in act 3 from Defender's Quest? If it was, that is a good easter egg.

I'll work on any suggestions next but for now... I'm through Act 2. 6/5 b/c, Great art, overall layout, game balance, achievements, content, and polish. Yes there are some improvements to come sure, but to anyone who hasn't developed a game - this guy (team?) is good. IF I paid for Kong content your premium would be worth it. As a free player, maybe make commanders just 10x more expensive w/o purchasing premium. Won't affect me to buy/not buy personally.

Loving the game. It could be just me but the music reminds me of Mass Effect 1, just a bit. I really like the monetization by byuing additional content instead microtransactions.

I think this game would benefit greatly from a survival mode. Also the Relic upgrades are confusing. I can spend cash to upg them or just play a challenge and get it upgraded anyways.
Thanks! Yep, a survival mode, or sort of that is in development right now, will be published... I hope, in 10 days. Can't say for sure, this is not a thing that can be made in few days. And also tonight I'll upload a version featuring some changes in the upgrade panel. Perhaps there will be something you've mentioned in your comment :) And yep, current relics page and relic handling is raw and needs an upgrade.

A refreshingly good game, the likes of which I haven't seen for what feels like years. Eminently playable even without the Premium add-on, but the Premium add-on is a very reasonable 50 Kreds (I bought it). 5/5, and I'll be keeping an eye on this developer.

Blocked at L2-2 level. I lose without knowing why.
No bots pass, No soldiers lost. And yet, I see the counter go down little by little until zero. Bug or lack of explanation?

im on act 2 level 4. How do i get pass the challenge? I had 9 CP left and was clearing all the initial mobs. Halfway through i failed. Is there a time limit or?
Yep, this level based on a time trial, and there's a counter in the top left corner. There are several ways of completing this challenge. Try to find it yourself :) If stll got any troubles, feel free to send me a message :)

Great game! Lil short but good proof of concept. only gripe is a forced usage of premium dude for 2 lvls then confusing to try and upgrade him later; more clarity on what each artifact boosts would be nice too, is it 1 class? all? ability? stat? Would be awesome to disable the pop-ups on replay lvls

I have a problem where using keyboard shortcuts makes the browser go the previous page, which is very frustrating when I am doing well.
Try to get as many relics as you can and upgrade your squad to the max. And then... don't forget to use global spells like Fire team or Recharge. Commander's abilities may help alot if you're a premium user, but this level is passable without it. Cheers!

damn good game once more man! keep up the awesome work~
one minor bug like thing though,
when the engineer uses his self destruct ability the enemy he uses it on temporary becomes invincible and continues walking forward until it finally explodes.
now I personally think the invincibility would be fine if it couldn't be targeted manually or automatically.
OR
if say it wasn't invincible and took damage normally but if killed before they self destruct they don't cause explosions.
regardless bug only has a minor impact on the game and isn't game breaking as long as you don't go 3+ engineers.
