normal is perhaps to easy and hardcore seems to hard. Perhaps and intermediate setting with just more enemies would have been better.

The only problem I had was that the game didn't pause when my mouse flew off the screen. More often than not that was how I died.

The controls need to be a lot smoother, particularly for hardcore mode, where snakerbation (touching your own tail) gets you killed. I like the concept, and I like the challenge, but not when frustration remains a factor. Plus, issues loading the game AND random freezing glitches. 2/5.

This really reminds me of that old game "Oroboros," where you play as a snake that has to collect all these particle bits while avoiding enemies to move on to the next level. However, this game is different enough that I don't think it's a total rip-off. It's pretty cool. I think it'd be even more challenging if there was an option to move with the arrow keys (or wasd). It would keep the speed constant, and might settle down the people who have issues with mouse control (no offense intended, guys).

And by stupidly difficult (i.e. artificial difficulty), I mean that you can: Die before you even spawn on the level, barely get the health upgrades, and the volleys of five/six darts are impossible to dodge at that length.
Thought you avoided them? Nope. Nudging the mouse just made four of them hit you all at once while you avoided only one...

amazing artwork and somewhat addicting gamelay are nice but multiplayer would be cool.. like a survival mode where the last one standing wins. ranking would be nice for it as well

I wouldn't say it 'fresh mechanics', but it is a challenging, fun game (it was difficult to get flawless on every level...)

Very nice game! But still -- the snake feels a little too stiff for me. I'd like to be able to curl up into a ball. The movements of the tail pieces are a little unpredictable, i.e. sometimes you drag your body into a monster just because the movement of the head influences the tail pieces a little too much.

You need to change the control scheme, having the snake stuck to the pointer it terrible. Have a look at Anamorphous+. I like the fact that you need to manage the snake's tail, and the game is visually excellent with a great atmosphere. However is it too easy for my taste, it lacks a bit of increased challenge after the first 3 levels...

I thought it was a beautiful game but it lacked a little in the actual gameplay. It was a decent length and making a good snake game is not easy. I give it a 4/5. Keep up the good work.

4/5 really easy to beat, i tried to lose at one point but theres no punishment for losing. short and to the point with fairly good game play. i liked the boss level except how long you were.
heres a helpful tip: to avoid things flying at you. move much farther then where you were trying to go. then move backwards so that you coil in on yourself. it works well to shrink your area, but make sure that small area isn't under fire. its nearly impossible to move your entire self fast enough

Why is VoidParticle's post "Best"?! Your tail does NOT fall off! If it did it would be so much easier to dodge! Green orbs only cure a little and only the first 2 yellow orbs make you grow. I wonder if he even played it. Anyway I think it's a great game. 5/5!
