Wait shouldnt upgrade increase tree and reduce the negative cost ? why does upgrade increase the negative cost of tree as well lol doesnt make sense

for those who don't want to do maths, you need around 20 million gold for the buy 100,000 5 card packs in one go in the intro realm achievement.

i love the ability to spend gems while still getting the bonuses, most games like this restrict you to either bought bonuses or holding onto rebirth/reincarnation things. all in all done very well and i love the premise

I also have a strange issue where I can’t see the cards info, like I tap on it, but it doesn’t tell me what the card does

I don’t know why, but right now, I’m having a problem importing my save back into the game... Like I select the file, and everything, but it just doesn’t change it to my save... Anything that can help?

For adding the "Hide" feature: When you click on a card, the Upgrade button appears at the top of the screen. You could put a Hide button next to the upgrade button, and add an "Unhide All" next to the hide button whenever you have a card hidden.

One other comment is that given all the early cards talk about buffing things left, right, up and down from themselves, once items come into play that say "all adjacent" cards, it's not remotely intuitive to expect it also means that it affects cards in the diagonal directions as well (also not standard for grid-based card games incidentally). No worries - the mechanic itself is good - just needs clearer indication.

The transition from tier 1 to tier 2 is needlessly easy the first time through, because tier-2 cards only come in large packs. Make some lower-cost lower-quantity tier-2 packs and you can even increase the growth curve if you like. Make your content go farther. As it is no one will ever use the low-level tier-2 cards on the first playthrough.

for the upgrade, considering in term of 2^n instead of 10^n, this will increase the complexity of game, and give low star cards better chances.

No no no , this game don't more realm , it just needs more cards for each current realm because of how idle each realm feels I would say Quality over Quantity , you should focus more in improving each realm instead of adding more realm

It's a decent game and it's nice to have an active dev. But somehow the idle math isn't right. If I'm getting $118 per second. Then after 20 minutes which is 1200 seconds. I should have over 144k but logged in 20 min later and only got 18k which isn't right. Please fix this bug.
Definitely at some point. A fifth realm is in development, but I've run into some challenges with it, hence the delay. I'm experimenting with the idea of mod support as well, building in some of the groundwork for it as I refactor code for the new expansion, but it's too early to say much yet.

Too slow / not enough content. I know it's an idle game but still. Also ascension shop is dissapointing. Good proof of concept but that's it. Leans hard into the 'leave me going for 5 days' sort of game

achievement alerts should disappear when you click on them, or at least not last so long. They pop up and leave you completely unable to load layouts for a good 20 or so seconds.

I'm not seeming to gain any resources? I put the ghoul on the board, but its staying at 0 (+1/sec)
Is there something I need to click? Is this a bug?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Slow gameplay and card packs dont even show what you could get - leaving you completely confused should you buy more packs or have you gotten everything you need. Very amateur game. Basically it ends up to happening that you buy packs and do your deck few minutes, then wait days, then weeks, then months to able to buy next cardboard. Not gonna use my time on this.

So one bit of criticism I have is there is nothing that indicates to the player that cards can be upgraded. Because you can drag cards into place and the upgrade button does not appear until you just click on a card, I went all the way to ascending the first area and a bit after before I accidentally just clicked on a card instead of dragging it and finally figured out what the card levels the ascension menu was talking about and why some of my cards seemed to randomly gain a level when I ascended.
Not sure what the exact solution would be, but the fact that you can upgrade cards needs to be a little more obvious (maybe have the button always visible, and when you click on it without a card selected, you get a popup/some text mentioning that you can select a card and upgrade it by trading in extra copies of it).

I hope in the next expansion there is more variety of good cards for different roles. Feels like in the end there is only one optimal solution with little variation for growth in plain of wars.
I really like underworld though with 3 different resources.
Also not symmetric in most builds unless you gem boost ruins a lot.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Plain of war is just too bloody slow with so few spots and no monsters with good loot. I can't even get 100 per second and i need 200k to buy better cards.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Feels like the balance in underworld is a bit poor. Some resources are much easier to get than the others with much better cards. I guess the point could be that you should change it around a lot. Although when you go idle it would be nice to earn a decent amount from everything.

im assuming you gave up entirely on this game or something you said new expansion near end of December and its almost end of January. if you are still updating it would be nice to be informed of when the release is actually coming out so i don't have to keep coming on every single day hoping its out would be nice to know an actual time frame!!
Still in progress. It's taking a lot longer than expected for a number of reasons. If you add the game to your favorites, you'll get a notification in your Kongregate inbox as soon as the update goes live.

@silvadel there is no reason to set it up again, or to not set it up again. Do whatever you feel like, it won't matter.

Thanks @ldecenciere ! That formula works for all the combinations I've tried.
Spoiler: Final Plains of War damage is (swords - enemy shields) + (purple flower diff) or crits with the swords portion times two.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
actually that symbol is "magic", the fighter with less magic takes the difference between the stats in damage (ex : if you have 5 magic and the monster has 3 you deal 5-3=2 damage to him)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
As @Garanor pointed out, it's very difficult to determine what the purple circle/flower symbol means in Plains of War. I've been trying to mix and match cards to try to determine what this number does. Maybe it's luck? Maybe it's crit? It's mostly been aggrevating.
Here's an attempt to figure it out:
Swordsman (4:1:2) does -3 or -6 damage to a goblin (4:1:2).
Swordsman with a well (4:1:6) does -7 or -10 damage to a goblin.
Swordsman with a Mana potion (4:1:7) does -8 or -11 damage to a goblin.
The formula I could be find that fits all 3 is an oddity (flower + 1 or flower + swords). I'd think the enemy shield factors in.
So throw in
Swordsman with a Chest (6:1:2) does -5 or -10 damage.
I can't find a formula that matches these 4 cases.
