Note: if you kill an enemy when it is entering from the top of the screen, its coins often get knocked off of the top of the screen, thus preventing you from picking them up.

I really need to stop charging head first into a barrage of bullets just to get a small scraping bonus. It keeps getting me killed, yet still I do it.

Well, the game certainly looks a bit cooler. The shop however is a big step down in my opinion; the one in the last game was way better. The bosses dying instantly after 25 seconds is also annoying. Not a bad game, but I prefer the second one.

Well erm... I am not sure if that is intended but... you can get one additional weapon and accessory by clicking on the square right next to the "last" one.

I've been playing these games since the first one, and I have not been disappointed yet. The Area 5 bonus levels are freakin' impossible, but such a good challenge! Another excellent, excellent Frantic game. I hope there's a Frantic 4 in the works at some point.

if this game is going to get badges, may I recommend an impossible badge for getting through a bonus stage undamaged?

You should add a ship with complete balance. I have a hard time with ships that charge slowly, but it's impossible to get all the way through with the Tactician due to it's lack of weaponry. If there was a jack-of-all-trades type of ship, I wouldn't be complaining right now. Not that I have very many complaints mind you!

I find it frustrating that I can't shift around my weapons and addons easily. It'd be nice if I could store them and try out different setups, without having to sell at a major loss and re-upgrade everything. Otherwise, an awesome game!

is it possible to use the special forever it seems like it might be if you use full absorption panels seta device and maybe repair drones to help with the damage you would inevitably take the stage four boss's second phase has a part where it could be easy, so if anybody better then me wants to try please do so and post the results

I think that this game is meant to be different from the rest of the series. It seems to be made to be...an adventure rather than an arcade game. If you know what I mean. Initially I was turned off, too, guys, until I realized that the game was meant to be something tactical. If you didn't have the right stuff, you'd die, boss or no. I like that.
People have gotten too used to having bosses be the only ones capable of killing you. Wake up guys, we've got a great developer here! He's made MINIONS that can kill you!

I personally love this game as a continuation of the frantic series. It does lack difficulty to some degree, however, I found that with frenzied mode on, it became the Frantic I know and love.

A step back from Frantic 1 and 2 in every aspect -- graphics, gameplay and general "likeability". The first two could get away with the lack of a story, but not this one -- I just can't get myself to play with it.

Never choose Iron Mode unless you enjoy never killing anything unless you follow it from the point of entry into the area til when it leaves/you grind up gold to upgrade weapons just to do area ONE. Also? No boss until stage 3 of each area? Why... :/ Nice try polymer. I understand creators desire to try something new, but.. this just didn't work. It's good, yes, I'll give it that.. But Frantic 2 was a lot better IMO.

Love this game. Very twitchy. Lots of replayability. Cant imagine playing this with the keyboard option though. That would be nuts.

It's a good game, but it would be really nice if I could see my weapon stats so I could have an easier time figuring out what's worth upgrading.

I do have to say Frantic 2 was good. However, this also had some things that I like. Example, the Shift to slow ship was useful for me since it helps me not to run into bullets(especially ships with fast speed, they run like hell) or multiple save files and modifiers. Modifiers are just like difficulties. That's all I need to say. Overall, I think this game is good as Frantic 2.

@maxg26: It wasn't a mistake for bosses to die themselves, as one group of the in game achievements require you beat levels without having any weapons installed. To make this possible, bosses die after a certain amount of time. This is shown to the left of the health bar as a countdown for major bosses.

smiffe&other asking > you can stack up to three accessories at the same time. It's displayed in game ^^ So it's useless to take 4+ coin magnet, time slow or else..
But yeah, Frantic 2 was definitely better :/

Im a huge fan of bullet hell and upgrades so this is awsome to see the third. really enjoyed it and strangly i cant stop playing it, i keep getting bored of it but always seem to come back to it. good job. OH also PS all ships have a plus +1 slot for weapon and asso. its just not displayed, pretty handy lil secret if its ment to be

Frantic 2's system was better in my opinion. You went through the levels and upgraded your ship and weapons. After you beat the boss, you start over again with the next stages. But in this one, it feels more like a rpg.You have to farm coins to get better upgrades. Not that it's bad, but frantic is a shooter.Overall, it's ok.I still like to play it.

Just went back and played Frantic 2, and astounds me how vastly better it is when compared to this one. The music, animations, enemies, and difficulty is so much better in Frantic 2. It's just disappointing that after all these years this game ends up being a step backward.

The Tactician craft actually has 5 weapon slots, the 5th just isn't displayed. Booyah. Click on the 5th box, it's like a secret weapon. Upvote for visibility! Share the awesomeness!

I assume it's a glitch that if you kill a guy when he's technically not "on the screen" yet, he won't drop any money. Please fix? I'm pretty sure it's not great game design to punish success.

Who really cares about the rockets ==> Partical Luncher is the one and only most devastating weapon!!! (even against bosses)
