Oh, the debris collector does work, it just provides so little money as to be utterly ineffective. Scrape 100+ bullets in a row. Get five coins per collector installed. They aren't going to be paying for themselves any time soon. :|

FUUUUU!!!!! People wear headphones! please take this into consideration when you make your next game please and don't make the 1st opinion of the game a horrific experience.... when my hearing returns I'll play this...

not bad at all, 4/5, love it...the only reason its not a 5/5 is because of graphics, but hey still a nice game, gonna play this again soon.

I loved the first Frantic and Frantic 2, but why the hell is the first boss so god damn hard? I've attempted it about 15 times now and still haven't beaten it.

rate UP to keep alive :D no brain easy win: select tactician pilot, use only missiles as weapons; as accessories 3x repair drone, 3x power booster, 3x absorbtion pannel, 3x wahteveruwant ( i like coin magnet).
Tact: when u lose helt, use the secondary fire, active it for one sec, than again and again, each time only for 1 sec... each activation will recharge a bit of shield =) let bullets scrap you to fast regain energy and GG

I understand the secondary weapon now. There is no "click mouse button" listed in help. I googled scraping. You should list that in help as well.

Somehow, it feels lacking. The hitbox feels weird. Scraping has little decent effect because of the weird hitbox feel. I did hilariously better by strait up avoidance.

If your skill in the previous two games was superior bullet avoidance, this is the game for you! My skill in Frantic 1 & 2 was super-high kill rates, usually barely escaping with a minute amount of remaining life. For me, this version is just a hell of bullets I can't avoid, and high kill rates aren't important. So, it isn't really the game for me. I kind of liked that in version 2, different skills were valued - you could be a rockin' bullet avoider or a carefree assassin and either would "count." But, again, if what you like is to avoid a screen full of bullets, this really is a great game.

I like this game but i wish there was the ability to change quality to low due to the fact that my mom's PC sucks in terms of specs cuz i can only play this game at 29-34 fps (34 when there is no enemy on screen and 29 when a lot stuff like enemies and bullets is seen on screen).

How I beat the game with ease. Choose interceptor. When you start off you need to complete(or fail) levels, until you have enough to put missiles on the first box that is shaded in.(graphical error, an extra weapon slot.) When you get more money trade the two starting weapons out for cannons. At this point you should have 1 missiles, and two cannons, now buy one more missile weapon, and two more cannons. You should now have 4 cannons and 2 missiles, now fill in the rest of the weapon slots (the outer ones, the cannons should be placed on the 4 inside slots)with missiles. Upgrade the cannons as you wish, missiles don't need to be upgraded, I finished with 2 level two cannons and 2 level 3 cannons, along with 5 level one missiles. + the comment so others can see :) - started by imgodzila12

Eh, I say you go in there, shoot a bunch, see the boss, RUN AWAY FROM THE BOSS, have the boss chase you (while its fire that you are dodging is destroying it's allies) until you run into another boss, then you keep flying then take a quick left or right and let them crash into each other. By then you should have enough money to get decent weapons and crap, go destroy the other bosses/enemies.

4/5
Very interesting addition to the genre. I enjoy that moving rapidly has a use to dispatch large groups on either side of the screen, but can seem a bit much just moving left and right destroying everything. Being able to slow down with shift is a HUGE advantage which I love. I get that it's frantic, and it really is, but at times there seems to be no way to dodge everything, even if you are amazing. You have to keep track of too many bullets at once and then more and more and more enemies spawn non-stop. Otherwise fantastic!

But all of the bullets are blurry, unless I'm going selectively blind, and they don't hit your ship except in this one exact spot which is -just- offcenter. Makes it really hard for me to see where's safe and where isn't. I'd prefer a tiny ship and crisp bullets, honestly.

I really don't like that we have to start a new game to edit the modifiers or change ships. It's a deep enough score/achievement system that it could get endlessly grindy and frustrating if we're constantly changing modifiers to try to maximize score. PLEASE let us change them in game. Also, it would be nice to be able to purchase different ships in the same file. Sticking with the same ship seems a bit punishing for someone who picks poorly in the beginning but still wants to get a lot of achievements or something. On that note, I noticed that achievements don't transfer over save files. It would be nice if they did.

The accessory to scrape bullets for coins seems to be broken. My coins aren't going up when I scrape, and I have three of the things.

If the boss timers didn't exist, it would be impossible to win certain levels with no weapons, for which there are achievements. Though it'd be nice if the timer were only activated while you were doing those no-weapon runs.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
As cool as it is that this game added in some more "hardcore" things from the genre, some of the design was better in Frantic 2, and boss timers have got to be the dummest thing I've ever seen in a danmaku. Where's the fun in taking down a boss if he just blows up on his own?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
There's no "blurry hit detection," if you are grazed by a bullet it's "scraping," and you can buy accessories that give you bonuses for scraping without getting hit directly.

"But captain, if we flew right behind him he would be defenseless."
"NONSENSE! Our best hope of taking out this single ship is to fly directly into his solid wall of deathlasers."

Excited as I was to see this, I'm afraid Frantic 3 the worst addition to the series insofar -1) Boss timers make me feel upgrading my weapons is a waste, as I wasn't killing bosses faster than their timer killed themselves. 2) Restart Level button please. 3) Bosses are generic looking. The thrill of previous installments was seeing a massive beast of a ship come at you, toting tons of guns, making you think "Which one am I going to shoot off first?" That level of interactivity is absent here. 4) No in game achievements? 5) Overall level design pales in comparison to previous games. The "campaign" feel of the game is gone...now it's just a grindfest of upgrading my weapons to the point I'm able to handle the next level suitably. 6) The music, save for the final area, does not have the same fast-paced, dare I say "frantic" feel to it. 7) Boss drops are incredibly disappointing. Drops in general are boring.
