Suggestions for full game:
1. add a zombification altar - zombies kill villagers
2. Make like tower denfence, give the hut a health bar which increases with upgrades, add a game over screen showing a witch being burned at the stake.
3. add a final victory spell where the witch casts a powerful spell to transform herself into a beautiful young queen
4. add repeatable one shot spells that cost the same each time such as a dragon summon, zombification, fireball, vines, etc
5. add traps which slow the villagers
6. add fat, mounted, and armoured villagers that weigh more (so count as two three or more)
btw great game so far!

I seem to be a few days late to the party but, to the developer/s of the game, great job, though as several other comments have suggested, combat would be fun and I would love to play a full game as, this seems to be more or less to see if it would float or not but, other than that, amazing job.

Cute. Fun. All the suggestions just make it more like all the defend-against-zombies games out there, with the one different mechanic of how you kill them manually. I'm not saying that this wouldn't be fun, but maybe something more original would be better. How about this: In addition to getting life force, you want to gain the admiration of your fellow witches. Different tricks, which you have to discover yourself (but you might hint at in achievements) improve the admiration. Such as DeShunOmeka's brilliant idea of launching the humans, tossing them into the cauldron from a distance, achieving certain life force goals without using some of the more powerful upgrades. Also, your only hint at the current admiration level is when they butt in to make comments, or finally come in and kill you because you were too boring.

I normally don't give reviews but I like how simplistic this game is. the art style is great and I wouldn't change anything about it. Obviously this is my opinion but I hate most idle games and few get it right. I think you strike a good balance between "idle" and making the player do their own work. I recommend staying on this idea, but in the end this is my opinion and your game. Thank you for making it.

I just tossed four people into the air so hard they ought to hit the moon.
(3 minutes later) They came back to earth like meteors, and pulled off a synchronized super-hero landing so everything's okay.
Really their knees should have exploded so hard those kneecaps would fly off like shotguns slugs, killing everything in their path.

This is pretty nice, though even if it's just a short prototype, an simple ending at the end would be nice. I got every upgrade, it's slowly feeding humans forever. Ok, and?

Awesome game! If this would've been an full game it would be awesome. An idea that i got: there could be a trap that sends the humans flying in the couldrain or just more upgrade like a bigger castle and more humans to pick up like 8 or even 16. (btw sorry if some words are misspelled like couldrain or even misspelled, english is not my first language)
don't worry, English isn't my first too. Anyway thanks for the reply. i'm working on a full version right now. I'll take some time, but i'll finish it eventually.

LOL! That reincarnation is brilliant: I just saw a peasant die on the bear trap, reincarnate right above it and die again on the bear trap!

This little game made me smile... If this is just a prototype, I can hardly wait to see what else you'll come up with: flying witches who can pick up the peasants, surprise werewolfs and other creatures, evil (black) ghosts attacking the white ones and doubling them if successful, etc etc etc! You have a hit with lots of potential!

Make an Idle Satanic/ Vampiric GAME! cant wait for the full version. Quests, minions, tougher villagers, demon hunters or something worth fighting against. different torturing measures (^-v-^)

great conceptt for a potential idle game, more field striucture choice wopuld be great to customize how you do levels with build options to choose from etc

It would be nice to at least give it some kind of final purchase. Maybe the last one just automatically kills everyone so there's no more gameplay and it's clearly the end.

Legitimate 5 star rating for the best stick figure ragdoll I have ever seen XD
Would love to see more upgrades, enemies, story? Cool stuff so far
love the art definitely keep that.

Cute little game. There's a lot of sky space you can use for random ways to pick people up. Plenty of H P Lovecraft lore you can probably use to spice up the world a bit, too. Would be kinda cool to see a faint outline of Shub Niggurath in the background, or even just one of her Dark Young.

i was kinda thinking this could make a great idle gameyou got reseting bear trap chance to ress could add spike pir arrow wall or sometin like that. good work thumbs up

I liked it, would definitely play more whether it's an idle game or not, however, I do have one request, PLEASE make an option to turn off the gurgle sound without turning all sound off, the gurgling made me feel a bit sick after a while

Great start. Definitely needs a way to pause it, tons more upgrades, and a clearly defined end, but I look forward to seeing what you can do with this concept.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Short and simple but fun! The end sort of trails off, of course. >.> I look forward to seeing what you do with it in a further developed game!

The art is spooky, simple yet effective. The mechanics work nicely enough, the upgrades are decent ideas. Looking forward to further development. Mazes, traps and heroes to defeat would all be of interest.

There need to be a way to lose, for instance if we allowed the humans to reach the right end of the screen, beyond that we need more automatic stuff, and a few pets, like flying monkeys or something.

yeah each building more health and angry house destroying villagers, some more upgrades...the upgrades dont have to do anything but unlock animation of some kind like a blood moon
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Awesome! Great art, very fun and waaay too short. As suggested by others, maybe actually turn it into a mixture of idle and defense game could be a huge win
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
This is great fun already! What I'd love to see is creatures, say werewolves or gargoyles to captures humans (possibly making more werewolves/zombies/vampires in the process by biting them!) and perhaps more levels/floors like the dark woods or inside your evil dungeon.

villagers should be more than mere sheep. like a lot of other people suggested, they could be some combat. i personally think you should be able to do more than kill them, though. maybe kidnap and make them fight for you if combat ends up in, or become slaves to mine resources for you? i dont know what this game could evolve into, but its definitely something good.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I really think that you should weaponize villagers and make witch have health bar. Villagers should get stronger as time passes. Witch could be burned if killed, village could be demolished.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Good start, but IMHO it needs a threat to the continued existence of the witch, a bunch more upgrades to counter these threats and a definite ending/goal. BUt it's a good premise of a full-fledged game.
thank you for playing. this is just a prototype to test how the game will be received. depending on the result i'll build a full game out of it.
ps: should i make it more idle like? like more upgrades to automatically kill the dumb villagers.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Everything an active Upgrades game should be... until there are no more upgrades, at which point the "riled villagers" angrily walk straight past your castle of doom, before presumably going back to procreate a few hundred more to do exactly the same. Excellent commentary on existence, but not much of an ending.
