hah the strangest thing happened i died to the dragon at the begining (well i killed them both). and then i went back to the main menu i went to options and when i pressed back i was back in the last room of the dragons lair! then i went around the dragon and talked to the princess. she said "Your not suposed to be able to talk to me please report this bug! i talked to her a couple times and she said the same thing! then i went to the dragon and talked to him and he immediatly said "oh Dear i have been slain" and then it went to the boys playing in the woods!

If you have lags in battle and the mouse is a awkward in battles you should set in option the quality to low or medium and the graphical mode to lineless. The game should now work smoothly for you ;)

The game has a nice nostalgic feeling to it, but the game is buggy. I saved at the den and tried to load up again but one of two things happen; 1. The game and browser freezes, 2. The game's image is all grass tiles. And use of the keyboard *and* mouse is a bit awkward. Try making it keyboard use only.
Also the script/dialog can be shortened... especially some of the exaggerated ones (Ie. the ones in the end)
Aside from that, the gameplay and battle system is slick and well constructed.

Not a lot to it, combat system is your final fantasy standard only with some interface issues. I'm supposed to be enthralled by the story of the two kids in sandles fighting rats with sticks. Along comes the Alien presence in the end, lets see what happens in the next chapter.

I would like to mention that this game has a very nice autosave feature.. I refreshed the page by mistake.. and WOOT I didn't have to do the forest and bully "boss" twice! and I don't like to do things twice..

Nice try- but this franchise needs serious work. Particularly, the mouse adds nothing to the battle controls (everything that is there could be done using arrow menus) and switching between keyboard and mouse controls is completely bogus given that the game can't even be controlled with only one hand on the keyboard. Also, there is WAY too much tongue-in-check dialogue. Hopefully chapter 2 is better.

Controls are slightly awkward but easily bearable; I would complain about the length but as it is 1/8 I can hardly justify it.

It's a fun game, but the writing needs work--and the original art . . . well, stick to coding. The FF influences are strong in this one, but then I like the old FF games. The interface is a bit awkward but could easily be fixed with a "Customize Keys/Mouse" option.

I had an NES as my first video gaming system back in 1987. The graphics were great back then but not good for todays games.

I like Volunteers. They taste liek cherries, but only if that's what you believe. If you prefer bananas, love and luck always taste a bit bananay. 'Bananay'. that's a weird word to say. 'bananay'. 'bananananany'

I liked it. I'm embarassed to say that the first time I tried it, the skill system threw me and I almost started trying to max out the tutorial skills.

Cool game but the Graphics and the music are annoying the graphics are like in Mario...Anyway got the 2 badges and it's so hard to switch mouse to keyboard...3/5

a lot of the comments you made about how annoying it is to switch between mouse hand keyboard hae been fixed in Mardek Rpg Chapter 2
