I started the game with both players at level 50!
Deugan seems to get A LOT more xp than Mardek for some reason... like 5x as much.

Brilliantly done... Wow I love it the story line... the retro style sprite graphics and then the enhanced battle graphics. cant wait for the next chapter.

THIS GAME IS GENIUS! I remember playing it on the author's site an really enjoyed talking to everyone just to see their comments. An awesome game, I hope the second one gets uploaded/gets badges too because they really deserve it. 6/5(if I could :) )

Ok, that's weird...
I finished, loaded my last save, and then refresh to start a new game (because I wanted to master the ASB system) and lo and behold, I got the level 50 guys.....

Thanks for rushing this game out. After dying in the forest, I clicked new game and it put me back where I died in the forest, except my party was the adults from the first scene. Having over a thousand hitpoints and dealing 150 damage per hit makes this easy to beat!

Fun! Though I apparently missed four chests that I don't know where they are. And locked doors with no hope of entry are a bane. And if there's only two quests then I've done them both. And I couldn't equip both attack and defence reactions on the same letter, like I could in make-believe world. Other than that, though, five out of five.

i am in my second fight and im sooo bored..random ecnounters so quickly...plus the fights take so long, but you barely get hurt so it just seems like a massive waste of time...this is not fun...

K so this game has messed up multiple times for me. The main menu button when you lose didn't work a few times, and then after I got the 5 pipes, i find out that the house is locked and some idiot is in the way of the fence.

I really enjoyed the writing, it was very clever. I actually laughed out loud at quite a few points. Great story setup as well. Like others have said, the only bad thing is that it takes quite a bit from other games in terms of gameplay. Personally reminded me exactly of Breath of Fire II.

If you think it's a rip-off, please look up the word "parody". This should save you shedding tears over the thought that someone made a game similar to your favourite Nintendo tripe, minus the females characters you secretly intend to marry.

hint: beat the pipes mission by going to the house on the northeast side of town before going to the crashed "star" or you might have to replay much of the game.

Mateou, Lordchip- Try playing the game. Graphics don't make a game. It's SUPPOSED to mimic a classic NES game. Try the game before you say it sucks.

Matoeu, just because it has bad graphics does not mean it is a bad game. They made this game to look like old RPG games like Final Fantasy for the SNES/NES. It's a very good and well put together game. Funny storyline too.

Fun game, and some great parody of RPG tropes. Could use some interface simplification, though -- replace the 'enter' key with mouse-clicks, then I'd give it a 5.
