Hint: When in Moric's ship, it doesn't load you up with Phoenix Downs for nothing. Save them so that when you get to Moric you can use them all on him to do epic damage. It probably won't kill him, but as long as you have Vehrn equipped with the silver sword (double damage to undead, special attack that does a further double damage to undead), that shouldn't be too big of a problem.

Loved the game, but am unable to save in Chapter 2. Reloaded the page and lost all progress I had made in the Chapter. Anybody else encounter this bug?? Lost a couple of hours-worth of progress!!

Two things:
1. Pressing "Z" will give you points on passive skill faster
2. After you defeat the Canonia Shaman go back into the Tainted Grotto head back to were you beat her. there's a skeleton wearing a GeoJacket. GeoJacket makes you absorb Earth and Arcane Catalyst heals you instead.

too many random enemy encounters+ saving crystals too far apart makes it really annoying and boring. you are kinda forced to keep playing because if you just close it you will lose anything you've done so far since the last save point. it will be way better if you can just save anytime you want. or make the saving crystals more common, you can take away some of their healing powers

i really like this game. The thing I like to most is the brothers at the mushrooms, especially the one to the north, who says that they were going to play an old fashioned game of "lets take our clothes off and run around scaring children"
Also, Pseudolonewolf, I would just like to add, to all those people just saying 1/5, that score is really overdoing it. that is really only for games that are pure crap.

This game is the bomb, it superbly recreates the wonder-years We've spent playing games like Chrono Trigger, FF, et al. I Really wish that the combat was less laggy. True, my CPU could be better... it is a bit dated, and I'm sure the really primary, major group of players out there can handle the animations, but the slowness is tedious. It was this way in C.T. as well, actually. I remember when playing Chrono Trigger, the combat part of the game took longer than I would've liked. I like games to snap to my need to feel like the game and story respond to my ability to take it in... and not have to wait for a bee to flap it's wings, or for the screen to do a 3 fps fade. Basically, I would rather the enemies be iconized squares that just pop over and say "you got hit for 37 HP," and let me counter attack without waiting for animations to complete that I've seen 100 times.
Congratulations on making an unprecedented Flash Retro RPG that captures all the old FF spirit and more.

And other than its great humor, it's a really fun game, maybe even console worthy. 5/5 for humor, story, and gameplay.

I must say that this game is awesome! I played the old version and that was OK but this is SO GOOD! Great dialogue XD! Excellent music! Nice leveling balance! Cool skills animations! I hope Mardek 4 gets done soon!
PS Emela will be so epic with thunderbolt and tsunami!!!!!!

This is one of the Best games i've played, very well put together, a great sense of humour, and a mix of a few classics, the only thing i find wrong is that KONG won't give my my dragon re-defeat badge for some reason >.< but thats kongs fault, back to the game.. 5/5

Why do people can't understand? There is no "copy", not only because they released Final Fantasy (for example) that all games after that are copies, the games are all based in games already released, they just adapt and create different things. THIS GAME IS NOT A COPY OF POKEMON, OR FINAL FANTASY, if you want a "original" game, there'll be no games in the future ¬¬'

I played the original version of this game and the first chapter and I have to say that both version and the other 2 chapters are amazing, this is truly the best game I have ever played and ever will 100/5 for you Pseudo. For my creative writing class I actually use Mardek's name for my main character. Thank you for making such an amazing game.

To what I've seen (I'm in Canonia right now) I think this game is great. I also lol'd at the comment "You stand no chance against me, cause I'm actually four blokes!". Nice game and pretty nice soundtrack (I haven't got it right now, but will buy it soon for how great it is!)

Funny Game, and really good for a flash rpg. Once Again, I love the NCP speach and how you destroyed the 4th Wall. LOL, It probably doesn't exist anymore! OMGWIN/10

Good game although you could have made moric.. idk, less creepy? although he is the necromancer corrupt dude probably watching his next victem rotting away on his carpet and call that good entertainement... but my god is he creepy... i think im going to dream about the gruesomely detailed fanatasies he has.

In case anyone's wondering the "hidden chest" in the tainted grotto does NOT appear in the game. However, if you open up the map, you'll be able to see it. (gold squares) It's close to the end.

Something else that took me forever to realize is certain magic attacks can be targeted to every enemy by pressing the left arrow key. I spent 90% of this game only attacking one enemy at a time.
