other, beat the mage first.
Use the smite evil to beat the old guy.
Use magics to beat the warrior and then the thief is easy

there was an odd glitch with the 'aqualung' spell at Qur lake... It said "cast on 'undefined'" at the top, and the element symbol was rapidly cycling through all elements. It also wouldnt let me cast it. Fixed by forcefeeding Emela some manaberries. (NO, she was NOT out of mana before.)

Please? It's the last badge that I need. I already beat the game before I did the dragon without realizing you got to do them first.

Enjoyable game ^^
Shame I didn't realise you had to do the trilobyte cave and Zombie Dragon before the main story events!! >< Now if I ever want those badges it's hours replaying.

Okay everyone's been asking where the keys to the trilobyte cave are what I want to know is where the cave is. I have all the keys I just don't know what to do with them.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
just beat it. time: 7 hours, 3 minutes, 13 seconds. the only boss that was remotely hard was the Zombie Dragon, and the last 5 trilobite waves.

1st trilobite key - Gem Mines: DO NOT KILL GOPE, SPARE HIM, you'll see him at the Goznor inn and he'll give you the first key.
2nd trilobite key - Tainted Grotto B2: it's near a lake, you have to press x facing the lake in order to get it.
3rd trilobite key - Catacombs B4/Social Fox's tomb: it's in a coffin, you have to press x facing it.
4th trilobite key - Canonia: this is after you kill Mordic in the Catacombs, you kill zombies and one of them drop it eventually, it's a 10% chance drop.

to find the Zombie Dragon, kill Mordic in the Catacombs, then when you want to, go back to where you beat him, and behind the candles and pentagram is stairs which leads to him, and the 3rd trilobite key which is in a coffin.

Some useful information for those trying to get the trilobyte badge.
Trilobyte key 1 is in Tainted grotto B2
Trilobyte key 2 is dropped by Canonia zombies
Trilobyte key 3 is in Social Fox’s Tomb (after catacombs B4)
Trilobyte key 4 gope gives to you in Goznor inn if you don’t kill him

VVthey're easy, but it takes about 3 tries to figure out a good strategy depending on your level.
also, yeah it's because it ports you out to the world map, don't think that'd be useful in battle. :o

Stuck in the tainted grotto, those 4 adventurers seem to be way above my challenge rating. Do I need to grind until I can beat them, or is there something I don't see?
Also, Mardek nominally has the Warp Skill, but can't use it in battle, what's up with that?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Darg! I got to round 20 and killed two of the four enemies but then Duegan was the only one left and I pretty much equiped Mardek with all the potions so yeah I lost.

Infinity, I had to kill all the zombies walking around in the city. I got the key after I defeated the last one. Once you start, don't leave the city or go into the cave.

It's good, but FIX THE DAMN AUTOSAVE
I had to go back 6 levels because it doesn't work and it doesn't auto save after important parts in the story. This really pissed me off having to go and start ALL the way back at level 4 at the castle. And also please fix the save thing because I had saved at lvl 7 and then dieing at level 10 erased my last save data and had to start back at lvl 4. Just for that I'm giving you 3/5 until it is fixed instead of 5/5 >=(

It's only in the last few days that people have been complaining about the controls, apparently, but the complaints have been numerous. (Do people just notice the complaints of others and follow suit or something?)
But what, people, are you actually trying to use the mouse for?
The ONLY places that you need to use it are in the inventory and the options. Everywhere else uses the keyboard.
So it shouldn't be too difficult to move your hand a bit every time you need to organise or equip items. It's quicker than scrolling through lists with a keyboard-controlled cursor, anyway.

Sorry but while I absolutely love old school RPG's.. I just cannot finish this game. The controls just need to go back to chap 1 style, or be purely Mouse or Keyboard. They switch around far too often and with little consistency. Its also quite awkward in the skill menus & party for using the keyboard but the Inventory uses mouse.
Just let us use mouse for everything please!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Whatever you do don't change back to the horrible Mouse/Keyboard UI of Chapter 1. Switching constantly back and forth is very annoying.

Oh my god there is way too much dialogue in this damn game!!. all i wanted to do was get the badges and it took like ten minutes to scroll through all of the useless crap they were saying!!

Thanks for this enjoyable flash game! I look forward to playing more of the chapters.
Is there any way to make the menus work the same way they did in Chapter 1? It was simple and straightforward to use the mouse for menus and Z/X/WASD for movement and global interaction.
Now I find myself having to go back and forth between the mouse and the Z/X/WASD keys just when in the menus to move the cursor around, and the cursor is always an open hand instead of a pointer. Seems a lot more confusing now.
