Excellent RPG. Tips to play:
- Read and reread the instructions (Options>Help)
- Know which items give skills (Options>Inventory>"A"). Reach Master before dropping the skill item.
- Use the map (Options>Map) to spot hidden routes and tresaures.
- Revisit boss mob kill sites.
- Armor before Magic Resist. Keep Magic Resist in inventory for special occasions.
- Split your potions between the individual character inventories for use in combat.

Time consuming.....sorry but after like 1hour in this seemingly boring game...i give up after getting only the easy badge ._.

Davey, there's a Help section for a reason >_>
Besides, if you've played the first, you should already know how to play.

the game does not give a good tutorial, it throws the controls at you, slaps you in intermediete battles then hits you with an insane boss! not the kind of training i want

Woo! great game! kinda like the older final fantasy games, ima huge fan, and a game like MARDEK makes me happy. I'm new to Mardek as i have not yet played the first one... 5/5! and favorited

AHHH. Great game. Great plot. Tad text heavy, but witty.
More importantly, is there any way to play after beating it? I'd really like to get the other badges without playing it all over again (no offense, lol)

Didn't bother playing.
Hitting X 50 times in order to blow through the painfully stoopid dialog is not my idea of a good time.

@Tulip: The Key is random. It took me hours to get it, but i've heard some guys had to slay only 10 zombies.
@zerothelast: press enter to open the menu, choose "inventory" with your arrow keys and press "x" to select. now you can drag weapons into the weaponslot or potions to the picture of the hero/maiden you want.
@Ladymint: I like the new controls better :-)
I like the dialogues, the game develops a story and the characters gain their own personality. It is a well-developed Roleplaying game, not a hack'n'slash RPG. If you want easy badges, skip this one, it takes too much time even for 90 Hard-Badge points. If you like Adventures or Classic RPG, you'll have hours of fun.

I enjoy the text but the controls are annoying. The controls were better in Part 1. Mostly I love the game but points lost for the controls.

dude this game blows! waaay too much text to skip thru and just the gameplay and shitty graphics alone make it suck i'd give it like a -100000000 out of ten

There's something about splitting stacks in the Help portion of the menu, but I haven't bothered looking at it in great detail.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
you can use potions in battle, its just the correct person has to have the potions. the hard part is getting the other people to take inventory. i havent been able to figure out hot to split stacks in the invo... I bet it would be easiest to sort who gets what when it is looted at that screen..at this moment anyway

whats the point of not being able to use potions in battle? and theres a bug i in the first chapter. i had all my items erased and weapons erased ..... when i tried equipting the str ring

nice game feels like an good old rpg but way too much writing the odd jokes and stuff just wernt good enough to keep me entertained into the story plus its quite easy...

Man,
A bittersweet twist at the end. Bloody hell, fitting of a true legendary quest. No regrets spending my 10+ hours on here. Pseudolonewolf? I'm revising my score for ya to a 5/5 on account of the witty dialogue and content alone. Cheers mate.. keep up the good work!

I would like to point out however, that the bug has not marred my experience of an otherwise good game overall. Here's my 4/5 for you! The endurance test in the arena fights was well balanced and thoroughly tests one's understanding of the monsters found throughout the game. Bravo!

Here's a bug for you. Never attempt to exit your drop down list interface while having the key items page open. It completely wiped out my entire inventory! I was left virtually without any of the items I spent 10 hours collecting!

i definately skip through every single bit of dialogue and it makes the game fun without the story, i mean i still kinda get what's going on. the part that's bugging me is that it takes the game a long time to load and the navigation is a little rough. overal its a good game

Trilobyte Key-
[1] In an invisible chest on the edge of the lake in Tainted Grotto. Right below where you battle the World's Saviors (Check Map)
[2]Found in a tomb in Social Fox's Tomb, the map after the area you fight Moric the first time (In catacombs, come back after you beat him)
[3]10% Drop chance from the zombies in Caronia after Moric's battle ship arrives
[4] Gotten from Gope if you didnt kill him in the Gem Mines. Hes found at the Gonzor Inn.
Sorry if I messed the key numbers up.

Very much enjoyed the game, must admit to getting stuck in the catacombs as well..Advice to people starting, REMEMBER THE MAP!
Dialogue's quite fun with the constant poking at the genre, really looking forward to the third installment! Easily a 5/5 :)
