Main differences: Mardek has no ATB gauge, which is exclusive to Final Fantasy. Legend of Zelda has no reactions. Kingdom Hearts (2) is not turn-based. All RPGs seem like each other on the exterior, but, like hybrid cars, they're all different on the inside. So stop just calling it bad, without even playing it, and during a fit of anger at losing to a boss (I lost unfairly to Moric, do you see me hating Pseudolonwolf for that, no you don't) so stop. I mean it. Stop. (stare of 1,000 banshees time!)

Finally! A new Mardek RPG game! The second one was my favorite flash game off all time. Let's see how this one plays out.

stop calling this a rip off of other games. i honestly dont like final fantasy at all, but Ive loved the first 2 chapters of mardek and after i play this im sure ill love this one also. give it a try before ur gonna go and be a critic about it cus its a great game and Pseudolonewolf is a great and orginal developer.

Those of you knocking Psuedo's work, do you realize how many of the games you play are "knock-offs" of another game. Call of Duty, Unreal, Quake, CS, Rainbow Six, among many others...all "knock offs of each other, a shooter is a shooter. Similarly an RPG, is an RPG, wether its Final Fantasy, Zelda, or Mardek... they are all of the same genre and what makes them unique is the artwork, the music, the storylines backing them. There is no possible way to create a brand new genre of game that is in no way like any other game. You people are so ignorant, you realize Psuedolonewolf has been working on this game for years, let me repeat that, FOR YEARS!!, and you go and disrespect everything he has done to entertain your minds for maybe 100 hours of gameplay assuming you collect everything, not to mention for a lot less money than you think. These developers put all their time and hearts into their games, try and show some respect.

This reminds me a lot about an old PS1 game called The Legend of the Dragoon...Wish I still had it... I just can't give anything else except 5/5 to this awesome sequel of the Mardek.

The only way to beat Pixies in this game (so far for me) is to toss Potted Cactus' dropped by Happy Johnny's. It's best if you carry at least 4 or more if you want to beat that Pixie in a chest.

How do you get pixie dust? Doenst say in the walkthrough and can't find it in Aeropolis???? Its for the shaman's brew...

@Binnister: To reach that npc, you have to use a secret passage. The map is disabled in that area and they're hard to see, so you may have to search for a while. If you need a hint you can try checking the game's walkthrough.

I've got to say, though, that some of the maps in the Dark Temple are *annoying*. The is one 'green' npc on one of the side maps which I simply CANNOT find the path to. Are there any spoiler maps out there? (Or, suggestions...maybe?)

i remember the first time i played mardek, i was instantly hooked, the game is sheer brilliant, psedolonewolf you excell as both an artist and a flash developer, dont listen to idiots who try to bash your work

This game is amazing, something i would pay quite a sum of cash for. Intense graphics, good storyline, random pieces of humor here and there, hundreds of weapons and objects. This game is good enough to rank among the best of all RPG style games. Curse the internet gods for not making this spread quicker!

Hey pseudolonewolf, I beat the game but I'm the game, and I even beat the security demon and got the golden pass and got half the dream stones and all the chalices.
Now I'm trying to get 100% because I saved right after getting out of the earth temple.
But I'm using the walk through now to find anything I missed, and that trade quest. You can't do it if you beat the earth temple because of the knights. So you can't get 100 if you beat the earth temple?

Anyone knows how to get Legion? I'm done with the Water and Fire temples, have the Silver Cord, Crystal Rose, and Wretched Skull reagents, gone back to Goznor, and nothing seems to happen in the house, no matter what items i'm trying to interact. Am I missing anything here?

I have spent a total of 24 hours on this Mardek Level, 3 chapters wide, and now have an inexplicable urge to play all 3 chapters through again. I hate these games, because they're just that good.

I have been a fan of the Mardek series for almost as long as it has been around (before the 2nd one came out), and it is not just a common rpg game ripoff. I actually appreciate the hard work that went into this, and if you don't like it go make your own game.

Spoiler: Not exactly sure if I'm suppose to be able to complete the fire temple with level 20 party members, but if you are than the saviours party is way too difficult. Bernard reaction attack - 1,700 dmg = one hit on everybody. Can't even take down the mage. :(
Would try noxious spamming but its kind of lame to "require" them to be used especially after just killing the guardian.

The game is incredible but still not quite balanced. The 'Happy Johnny' cactus things dodge too often and seemingly randomly and the monsters in the Dark Temple are overpowered.

First off, great game. Congrats to Pseudodeugan for releasing it. The time and effort put into this really shows, and I wish you the best of luck in all your future ventures (especially if that means you make more games of this caliber).
I've arrived in Aeropolis and promptly bought a candriathope once I saw it's nifty +experience skill (since I'm positive I'll be playing this game more than long enough for the dividends to pay off many times), however the skill doesn't appear to work. I spent some time testing my L10 Elwyen on thugs and her xp isn't affected the slightest by the skill. I'm a pretty big fan of xp boosts so even though I imagine that this is fairly minor, I'd really like to see it fixed in the next version update. Again. thanks for the great game!

guys this is not a rip-off of fina fantasy i it was then final fantasy would be a rip-off of zelda its a genre of games not used by ideas already in a game
