In my opinion, whole talk about this rpg series being a rip-off or something like that is completely out of the question and I really don't understand how someone could state that that is one of the game's flaws.
@pseudolonewolf: I'm REALLY impressed. Whole Mardek series got me seriously hooked-up, I can say that it is probably the most complex flash game I have ever played, not to mention the fun factor which is really amazing. Hats off to you, you have done one hell of a job, and I can't wait to see the next installment in series!

LoL... When I got the 4th Dreamstone, I think I made a right guess that the Green Guy was Deugan and the Blue Girl was Emela. Right? I'm a good guesser... So romantic =D

Also a suggestion, make a way to cure berserk other than sombering tears. It quite literally becomes "the ultimate debuff" causing your characters only to attack without being able to stop them until they're killed.

Has anyone ever seen an Axolotl, the axe-wielding, gill-breathing monster alongside the bats and eye-stalks in the serpent's lair, drop a Bone Axe? Its encyclopedia page says it's supposed to. I've been grinding for several levels now; I've picked up several water essences (a 5% drop rate), but no axes (nominally also a 5% drop rate).

This the best game ever. I love Pseudolonewolf's work. He works really hard on games and lets people play them for free. This is better than chapter 1 and 2 combined. I bet if he made an iphone version it would probably be more famous than angry birds even if it costed 5 bucks.

In Aeropolis, the is a shop right by where the slums are, and if you go inside and look at the shopkeeper's wares, you will see a greatsword worth 50k! Do you get any characters that use a greatsword? Is it worth buying at all?

Suggestion for the inventory screen: when you mouse over an equippable item, have the description panel for learned skills show the skill status for all characters. This avoids a lot of switching characters back and forth to check them out.

I NEVER write comments for... well almost anything, but after seeing, hearing, experiencing and of course playing chapters 1-3 of this series it overwhelmed me to do so!! I remember coming home from school all excited to try out my new idea for my 4 man team in the first final fantasy, being blown away by the story in the second one, and so on... This game takes me back... It is almost amazing how well done and how much thought was put into this flash game... I think someone commented earlier that this game should be a console game and of course not now a days but hells yes on SNES or NES!! I seriously can't believe someone would make any comment on this game other than a good one, unless they don't like RPGs... but then why even comment at all? Anyways thank you Pseudolonewolf for the time it took to make this awesome game... the game, music, dialog, and creativity is something to be recognized as being truly great not just in flash but RPGs in general. Needless to say 5/5!!

This series has been an absolutely tremendous achievement. The amount of effort that has gone into it over the past few years shines through in every facet--the characters, their stories, and depth of gameplay. Having already invested quite a few hours taking on much of the end-game content, I'm reluctant to take the final step to finish the chapter. Regardless it's been a hell of a journey so far. My only concern for future chapters is that-with Mardek always being in the party and grinding for super-bosses-it may become difficult to balance the game for returning players and those who decide to jump in without having played previous chapters. If there is anyone that can pull it off though, it's pseudo... looking forward to see where the journey will take the gang :)

This game is *really awesome*. The only problem I had is that I had to use the walkthrough a couple times. I searched the entire world a few times when all i had to do was switch the members of the party, so i guess that's what the walkthrough was for. But I was really afraid to use it because i didn't want to spoil something i had to figure out for myself. but that stuff was trivial to the game.

Hmm... it seems that when elwyen has 100 spr her runic rhapsody blocks 100% of magic damage. Maybe SPR is the % of damage it blocks?

awesome game, 5/5. I have a complaint though. after about 40 hours of playing I decided to get the new flash. when i did and loaded Mardek back up, I lost all my data, from all my Mardek games, so I am starting from the sun Temple. I do not know weither or not it is your game or just the system it was built on, but who cares great game. I like the "Zelda" style, mixed with the In-Fight style. the bosses are great, and the secret's are awesome. I also like the variety of characters and elements. keep it coming dude.

Just beat animus again, without using items this time. Seems that runic rhapsody is actually better than ballad of balance here, and boosting elwyen's SPR with Solaar gave me an awesome magic defense. Mardek equipped with the scarab of fury dealed a nice, constant damage, and gloria protected me from the (air element) delay buster, and helped lower his SPR, to further lower his attacks.

0/5, cuz i want to... lol really now great game man, u did again, i know i already posted for this game but the more i play the best it gets... its really takes me back to SNES old good RPG games, and i really love the funny things u say about the general RPGs, like making fun of tutorials , chests and stuff. i got to say that for now this is the best RPG made in flash in all internet that i found ( belive me, i platy alot of RPGS, got tired of MMO), for now did not found any glithces but if i do i will let u know. i loved the ghrapics, since they are simple but not eye offensive ( like too much color os shiny things ). the lvling is very well passed, making the next lvl not easy to achieve but at same time not making u giving up of lvling. the battle is well desinged and the trigger dont let u fall sleep like in some slow passed turb based games. for those who rated ur game bad, well they need at least to give u a reason. everyone has differents tastes. Anyway again great game, 5/5

Awesome game, many hours of play. Every single conversation is thought of and has some sort of snazzy remark. Great parody stuff, great humour. Very intensive skill and equipment system. If there are going to be 8 chapters I'm going to spend ALOT of time on this game. Kepp up the good shizzle

I did the mission of the museum.
I do not know what to do to make the missions.

deff shoulda put a timer in on berserk or something.. im on the solo arena with zach and he gets hit with berserk and i have auto-regen on him.. his melee doesnt do any damage to the fire dude and im stuck in a never ending auto battle i cant even play so i have to close the window and reload/ rinse&repeat

Excellent Game. It got out of me the first donation to a game Ive ever made. I this game was published for the Nintendo DS I would definitely buy it and recommend it :)
I loved the dreamstones conversations, it gives very good insight of the destructive power of insecurity. I hope players can learn at least little about this and be more confident.
