I love the game but have one thing to gripe about. Combat is a little slow. Their movement and the time it takes to attack could; and should be faster. It's only a few seconds wasted but in time those few seconds every battle adds up. Other than that everything is simply perfection.

i can see all the hard work that has been put in to this game i've been playing all chapters and there are endless possibilities :D this is an awesome series keep it up dude

only problems are things mouse it's gets a little awkward when i use it, for example; when selling it's weird how you click it then drag it to the sell slot then if you have more then one you want to sell you need to go and use the arrow keys then you need to hit the "x" key. it just feels like a little too much, even if you just add the ability to sell via shift+click or right click, then it would make a lot easier, but still great game 4/5

A trick for dealing with bosses such as the World Saviours. (You must first have Legion in your party for this to work) Go to the dream realm (doesn't matter where you go) and get into random fights until you spot i think it's a Whimsical Flame. Then wait for it to use spirit nova (probably more chance of it using it on Legion if you have only him and Mardek in your active party) on Legion and it should say that Spirit Nova is learnt. Now the spell gets rid of half of the health that the opponent has and the only cases i know where it doesn't work is when fighting the Guardians but they're easy enough with the right equipment and level. This spell is espcially useful when fighting the World Saviours because if you manage to hit Aalia with it before she casts M.Shield it and attack with another spell she casts Cura instead of buffing the party and the heal doesn't do as much to recover the lost HP.

lol my vehrn is auto berzerk and auto regen with his righteous injustice batteling a fallen paladin in the cambria arena. vehrn can only heal the fallen paladin with his normal light element based attack, and each time the fallen paladin attacks vehrn, vehrn just heals it back with auto regen.
It's round 10 in the solo survival.

To all pixie haters. Elewyn, with dirge, and the boots of celerity, can kill them before they act in most cases, or after one action.

I need to say, there are a lot of similaritys with rpg games like this. Another one, which Im not sure anyone noticed, is that the dream world is supposed to be like the dark world in The legend of zelda, a link to the past. Also, furthering the connection, in that zelda game, when you first go to the dark world you dont retain your human form. But I highly doubt a stone changes that in this game!
(and no, this is not being hatin. I was not complaining, just stateing.)

@ Zacherybob:
I havent encountered the Water guardian yet, but the mystereious man is definetly steele. If you look at them in the encyclopedia, and compair everything but the scar and eyepatch, which would occour after the lightning strike if it hit the area, it all matches. Then match the info. The ones that are given match the info on steele. Same element, race, gender, and alignment.

A Sort option for only this page
a remember this equipment option for a character for quick re-equipping
A hover option over characters weapon/shield/helmet/armor to see what types they can use
whatever else I was thinking before getting distracted

To UndeadNecro: Why would you down-rate a game because of a small bug? Maybe you should just be a man and get the water essences again? Until you change your attitude I'm down-rating you. 1/5 to UndeadNecro and 5/5 to Pseudo and his game.

Why does the world have problems stopping the evil Magi people? Why don't they just cart off those security demons at the warport to kill them all? They were definetly tougher than Qualna at any rate...

EXCELLANT game, I'd give it more than 5 out of 5 if I could. I like the timing system to keep you involved in the battles, and the way skills are mastered. Sometimes a way to master skills a little faster might be nice, but that would probably unbalance the game, and combat skills I can just use over and over till I get them.
A couple features that would be nice though:
A single button transfer all equipment from one party member to another (for changing party)

Pseudo just a little, wait no HUGE Glitch Whenever I save, quit, turn off my computer, then the next day I go back on and some of my items are missing. Even worse, it was my water essences, for the quest to make the under-water breathing potion. I'd be VERY happy if you could fix this.

I must thank you, Pseudo. In my experience of playing Flash games, or any games for that matter, never have I felt such a sense of accomplishment when I finally completed the Fire Temple. I am glad that you didn't give up during the 3 years this game was in development. Very glad, indeed. Well done.

Start reading from the 2nd comment since it's the beginning of my very long and exhausting comment. Sorry Pseudo but I did promise I would write a long comment about the game once I've got an opinion, so please take your time reading it, if anybody else wants to read and comment about it, I would be fine with it. Hope you take it seriously

Since I like to complete each and every part of every RPG game I play, that would be necessary. I must admit though, that I am most grateful to have found this RPG game which is undoubtedly a masterpiece due to its well thought and thrilling story, I simply can't wait to find out what's next! So even though I don't really like the big variety of items and characters, this game definitely gets a 5/5 from me!! Good job Pseudolonewolf! I hope you would just put in mind what I wrote in which I have also put alot of thought and didn't just mention something without explaining. I am aware of the fact that not everybody will agree with my big variety opinion.

It is quite a bother, to have such a large to variety of items and characters to have to choose from. I personally prefer plain items without too much thinking (what stat would be better, unless there is a tough boss battle) where you don't have to choose the equipment since it states clearly if a certain type of armor is better or worse than the one you are currently wearing, this excludes accessories where the variety is more welcome. Obviously to create such a big variety takes much more thinking and undoubtedly shows dedication and effort which were put into the game. Though it annoys me to keep on switching the armor between characters, especially when you have to choose from a big variety of characters when only 4 would actually help you on your journey. I do like the idea of mastering a skill to keep it on a character, but since there are just so many of them (especially passive skills) I need to grind with each and every character to actually get 100% out of each one.

There actually is an aquamarine in Aeropolis, its near where you enter in a back alley, near a potion shop I believe.

That this is a free flash game is amazing. It has grown exponentially from the first chapter, which was solid in its own right. Every detail is damned near perfect. The look and game play are immediately familiar to anyone who rocked an NES or SNES RPG, only improved. The battle screens are far better looking than anything on those consoles, and the game never devolves into a grindfest. My favorite bit might well be the humor, though. The jabs at past RPG conventions is clever but clearly without malice. Really, this is as good as flash gaming gets.

To people complaining about difficulty: It's not that bad if you play the second chapter first. In fact, it'd be best to start from chapter one.

I have to admit it, I really love this game. I think it is even better than Zelda (That game really bored me) and, as Pseudoleonwolf says, even if it is a parody of good old RPGs, it have a deep background story. I was really surprised than, by the ending and in others storyline events I was deeply worried, or even ashamed. Only a true game can cause the player emotions -any of them- and, like Xwtifen says, I would pay for this. Indeed, I have payed for worst games! This one, when finished, will be a really impressive masterpiece, and I will be really happy to play it!
PS: Best character ever: Bartholio! Heh
"And I am Bartholio"

Alright. I just beat the game. I found a surefire method to guarentee victory against Qualna with no effort. Simply mash attack, and you will win without fail, as long as you have the right gear, which is as follows.
Golden M Helm. Go check the lizard blacksmith.
Mithril Platemail. Lizard Blacksmith. YOU MUST GAIN ACCESS TO THE MIASMAL CITADEL.
M Trinket. Arena survival challenge.
Scarab of Health. Retun the Faeries.
Champions Sword 2. Beat the Arena.
Shield of Light. Lizard Blacksmith.
this equipment will make Qualna's clones of you UNABLE TO DAMAGE YOU UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE.

This game. What to say about this game. Only one thing to say. Pure, raw, uncut brilliance. Hands down the absolute best Flash RPG I have ever played. Next time though, get the next chapter out a little faster! =]
