Oh. No wonder it took so long to make... The sun temple alone is HUMONGOUS! (sorry about caps) I can't wait to finish it and explore the outside world... Once again, Pseudolonewolf, you have outdone yourself in the making of the MARDEK Rpg Series. Thank you!

The story and music is like that of am older Final Fantasy-game. The characters are unique and nicely designed, as well as the rest of the environments in the game and the game itself. It contains jokes that refers to other well-known RPGs, and sex-jokes that almost seem like ripped from Tales of Phantasia. The gameplay feels really good, awesomely good, the battle-system, the world map, the ways of learning and mastering skills, the very descriptions of the items! I'm pretty sure I won't find any game as good as this on Kongregate for a very long time... At least not until the fourth chapter is released.^^

The game is good and i like the Pixel Graphics and t he awesome Casual battle music. the Music player was a good Upgrade when you revamped the games. i have not played it trough but i have played the other games 1 and 2 and bless YALORT its good :D but Pseudolonewolf plz when u have made all 8 chapters make it a it cost money game and give it some addons plz :O well thats it i hope this game is as good as the others. May YALORT be with u and have fun :D

If you guys need the monster fangs for the buzzsaw, equip the lucky coin and learn the skill, its youre more likely to get the fangs

This is without a doubt the best Flash game I've played since... A hell it is the best, Love the graphics, Love the game play and love the world of the game. The story could go another notch but for a flash game its more than great! The characters are also very good, but it would be incredible to be able to change your relationship with your teammates making them either love or hate you. It would be even better if you were able to change the story somewhat to give it "replay value", but now I'm going over the line. And please make a game that have all chapters and is able to be downloaded, i don't care if it costs me because this is a game I've been waiting for. If I had Kreds I'd give it all! 10/5
And of course To all those morons who say this game sucks: Are you brain dead or just so stupid that you don't realize how hard it is to make a quality game?!

@Simpoink - What they care about is having graphics as extremely detailed as possible, whereas this game focuses on the classic pixel graphics (which is a theme - not 'bad graphics', as some seem to believe) for travelling and then (in my opinion) pretty awesome graphics everywhere else. But since travelling is a big part of the game, I guess some people (probably including most of the people who didn't live in the golden years of pixel graphics (my sympathies to them for never having enjoyed marvellous games like Lemmings, Zelda etc.)) would consider this as an "overall bad graphic experience". Pity, really - and it's up to themselves to rate the game extremely low, possibly only based on graphics, if they like to.

There's so much that can be said about a game like this, but lets keep it simple. This game is great. It uses a successful blend of game elements from a variety of retro-RPG games, resulting in a deep, enjoyable and engaging game. Not only that, but I think it represents a conceptual jump in flash gaming, this is the longest and most complex flash game I've played. It deserves to be measured not against "Sonny 2" but games from the very genre it pays homage to.

I don't know if it's only with me, but my Adobe Flash plugin does not works perfectly. Ah, a mute button would be good, because i want to listen to musics while playing. 5/5 favorited. (I you say more when i get the Impossible Badge) Wait me \o

Because of the item vanishing bug, can you make more of the limited items in game? I lost the only jade in the game so I can't make a glyph shield....

@kuurus if you were to do that, atleast rate a 3 :/ since it is actually a good game, it would be cool, maybe but psuedolonewolf is already taking prizes for first and third and these ratings are based off of player acknowledgment, doing so is just as great as Greg putting something like darkness 2 in first place, the players choose by how much they enjoy the game, not how much they hate each other.

You can cast spells on multiple targets by pressing to the side, rather than the 'up' and 'down' key. I know that this information is written in the bottom of page 19 of the Help page but in my opinion Pseudolonewolf should somehow have introduced us to this - since I remember (since chapter 2 where I discovered it by accident) it being crucial to be able to heal all characters in one turn, or using a spell on multiple weaker targets at once; killing them all at once.

I happened to successfully remove regen from an enemy, so therefore my question is obviously answered: "Degeneration 10%" does in fact grand opportunity to remove regen from the one you successfully strike.

Quite simply one of the best games I've ever played. Not just flash games, but video games in general. Sure, the graphics aren't great (I'm not saying they should be, i like them just the way they are... I believe there's more to a game than its graphics, which Mardek proves, in my opinion), but, well everything else about this game is just so great... there is no other way to describe it really.
As soon as I finished the first two chapters sometime last year, I was hooked and couldn't wait for chapter 3! Now I'll be waiting patiently for what I'm sure will be another great chapter in a beautiful series.
To Pseudolonewolf: You are an unbelievably talented man, to be able to create such a masterpiece by yourself. Thank you for this marvellous game. Keep doing what you're doing, and I hope all your dreams come true. You are great!

I just have to be completely sure: "Degeneration 10%" means that there is a 10 % chance of removing regen on the one you strike, and not a passive ability on yourself, right?

karnos- to beat karnos use the cursed sword and hat on mardek.that's it.aminus- don't ever put a shield up.he has a skill that makes inversion look good,but only uses when there is a shield, for each shield it adds 3k damage.so let him spam its soulstorm while you pump people up.

Well, to be honest, I hated this game, don't rate down just because of this, the graphics are terrible, not when fighting, and the battle system is completely retarded, I wish this would've been a ripoff, atleast from a good game. so sorry 1/5, we need better games. and when you finish the battle you're not even auto healed.

Hey I like this game.. from Chapter 1 to chapter 3.. I hope there's a bit graphic improvement on the characters' potrait.. Because sometimes i feel like woman character looks like guy.. Don't get it wrong.. Is not a complain.. I really like the game.. Nice story, and challenging.. I just hope there will be improvement on this.. I will play the game till the very end of chapter 8! Keep up the good work, pseudolonewolf!

@ chaosorder - So the fire guardian didn't use an inversion type attack that would blow your whole party out in one hit because you have so much fire gear?

Great mechanics, cheeky characters, and a very thorough game. I love it all--6/5 stars!
One minor thing--I've been plying for more hours than I care to admit and my spellcasters are still using their first spells. Please tell me this changes soon!

@slayer i found the fire gaurdian way easier than the water gaurdian. mainly cause i got the awesone water wep in the water temple before so mardek hit 2.5+k dmg. and i founbd a set of armor that changed fire magic dmg like the gaurdians burn into hp and a had verhn with so much anti fire gear that he gained hp from it too. but i doo agree that solakk dies toooo easily

just gonna point out solaar wasn't really a guardian if you got the dream stone you'd know what solaar really is also for ppl who somehow aren't able to realize this (ppl who never played ch2) the mystery man is obviously Steele and ppl who didn't know the only reason solaar is so weak is because no armor can be equipped but certain helms can be.

I can't begin to describe how good this game is. I come here to play some flash games, not some game that belongs on an old video game console. This is one of the few games on this site that I would willing pay for, and I feel like I am ripping off the developer by only giving him a 5/5. This is absolutely fantastic; it has even distracted me from current-gen console games. Once again, great job, and keep the chapters coming! Can't wait for the next installment!

this is likely odd but i want to share my strategy for the water temple get mardek his air slash he tends to get really low damage delt to him so no worries there also i used solaar because it makes it so you can use mardek to do damage per turn also this likely isn't a good idea but i used elwyen because both runic rasp body and ballad of healing are useful also get trilobite armor on sslen'ck because he is useful if you use boost 10 times then attack you hit really high at that point about 1.5k per hit
and equip anything that raises water resistance a note my team was really weak too mardek was lvl 24,elwyen lvl 16,solaar lvl 20 and sslen'ck lvl 22.
