sorry for posting so much, but I have to say, I love some of the sarcasm in these games...I said "No, don't bother" when asked to put the warding stone back and rather than something short and crude, I get a long, sarcastic paragraph about saying "farewell" to it XD I loved it!

Finally! :D Thank you Pseudolnewolf for finally releasing it. Have yet to play it but you obviously took alot of time on this and poured alot of hard work and probably a few long nights into this game. Lots of respect and high expectations for this game. 5/5 :)

i know Pseudolonewolf made the enemies on the first dungeon easier but i thought it was still challenging and i lost on my second battle in the first dungeon

I managed to stretch the fight with a combination of items. For anyone who's having trouble: try Really Cold Water against Sslen'ck for ~200 dmg

This game looks like one of the best flash games I have ever played, the comedy is good, the action is decent, could be faster... a bit confusing to find out where you are suppose to be though... well, I'm done, it just doesn't entertain me very much...

How come whenever I go into a new area the map works, but the first time I use a save crystal in that area it disappears? It's quite annoying

Dude, I swear to God these games are a cult classic. Anybody who says their bad doesn't know what their talking about. The sarcasm, the character development, the parody parts, the nostalgia factor... these games are a frickin masterpiece, and by far my favorite flash game series of all time. Don't listen to the haters, you're my hero man.

pseudo dont worry about the jerks some people especially on the internet love to slate off anything as it makes them feel better then others. The mardek 2 was one of my favorite 2d rpg ever and thats and rts my favorite genera there just so many extra quests and area to explore beastery was also great for the got to get em all aspect lol. If 3rd is even just as good as 2nd it easily gets 90-95% if its better (which it seems to be so far) well its amazing thx for all the effort put in (; x100 lol

Is there a penalty to stealing the priest's 3000 gold in the beginning? I remember in FF not stealing often led to the person giving you a special quest later which was worth more than what you stole anyways. I just took it my accident. Im not sure whether to just go back to my last save file though.

This style of game is where the RPG genre got its roots. People writing this off as a final fantasy rip off need to understand that the very nature of that comment is insane. That's like saying every game since a bard's tale is a rip off of that. Or every first person shooter is a rip off of wolfenstein.
Great game, great style, and to the devloper, just ignore the fools and ignorant comments. Keep up the great work!

As with the other Mardek games, I really want to like it. But the confused control scheme, bad information design, and lousy writing hurt this game. First, either make mouse-friendly keyboard controls, or remove any mouse control from the game. In order to buy items, for example, I have to switch from mouse to arrows to z/x and then back again to mouse. Really? Second, every UI screen in this game suffers from information overload and bad hierarchy. The user can't tell which information is important and which isn't. Third, the writing isn't just bad- which I could deal with- it's mind-numbingly long. Every single person wants to tell me their life's story. One of the best parts of old RPG was that the story was kept strong, meaning, generic, poorly translated, but most importantly: BRIEF. In taking your cues from old RPGs, you missed three important factors that are prevalent in all successful old RPG games: simple controls, simple interface, and brevity of story.

@chaosman1995 FYI, there is an option in the options menu that enables you to disable the "z" key triggering the wait option during battle.

sorry huge typo basically, Is there a limited framerate in this game? Because I was using a laptop with an eco mode that limits performance and when i noticed performance problems i turned it off and noticed i'm moving really fast.

5/5 and favorited. This is a very good game. I didn't get very far before dying(I'll explain that later in the comment), but as far as I did get the game was PHENOMENAL! I thought it was witty what some of the monks said upon rescue, "or did he change his name to SideQuest Priest just to be different". Bravo to Pseudolonewolf. Ok now to the complaints, I lost to the Sun boss because I pressed z instead of x and ended my turn. Z/Y shouldn't end the turn, only the wait button in the menu should. Also a restart button would be nice, since I died I didn't expect to have to restart the whole game. So by restart I mean after dying a "Would you like to restart from your last save point?" try again button. And for some reason every time I play this game my mouse outside of the game screen disappears. Is anyone else having this minor problem?
