I JUST SOLVED THE MAP BUGS!!!111 you will have to explore again, but at least the maps are there again. Istructions: open the save game (.sol)it with wordpad or another editor then delete from "Maps..." (included) till "BADGESTATS" (excluded). The code u need to delete may be like "sandcave4 0_undefined| suntemple3 0_undefined...." or not, u just delete it!

never been a fan of this genre. the game is still controlled by both the keyboard and the mouse, which is so freaking annoying. its difficult to immerse yourself into a game when every time you want to change your items you have to rearrange your hands. you would think you would learn after the first game.
still, its better than 90% of flash games in this genre. 3/5

I like the game, but I'm experiencing the map bug too (no map). Also, difficulty curve seems too high with starting characters. For ex., I have someone in my party who is a zombie now, and heals/phoenix does not cure it. This is only within the first few fights in the game. Also, heal does not cure poison, and the poison does not wear off with time, wtf? so 2 chars are poisoned with no way to cure, and one is a zombie who fights against us in every encounter.

I'm having difficulty reproducing the map bug since when I save, it *doesn't* happen to me... It surely is something to do with the saving - since the map data is encoded on saving and decoded when you load - but I don't know why it seems to only happen sometimes, and not to me when I try to test it, so there may be some other factor. IF someone can find it and can be sure that what they've found is indeed it, that'd be great.

To be more precise, map#bug happens when u (partially) explore an area which is dark at the beginning (for ex sandflow caves). THen u save and boom

@Donut Master, I recommend reading through the encyclopaedia. I didn't do it until half way in (16-ish hours) and ended up learning a lot of valuable stuff, including how to split stacks of items.

The map goes blank when u explore an area, and then save the game. The problem should be in the routine that loads or save the map, check it...

This is, without a doubt, the best flash game I ever played. I tested the beta (all three chapters together in one) and was absolutely addicted. The amount of detail and work put into this is evident straight from the beginning. It has the quality of a production-style RPG game. Overall, I ended up putting about 35 hours into it and loved every second of it.

On great improvement over the previous version is the new skill handling. No more pressing ASD at more or less random times. It's just the X and I like it. A lot.

Many of these party members you get are too low level when they join your party. They're like level 10 when you're level 17. Makes them pretty bad.

if you get into a fight with a revenant right after you start the game, you're screwed cause it just goes berserk and kills all characters :l, the only way to beat it seems to carry over your stats :l

Oh, but also, though the sticky keys thing is indeed a problem of Internet Explorer, it'd be useful if anyone could find out what causes it specifically since it seems to affect all my games and I bet that people would rate down for it even though it's largely their browser's fault.

I am aware that there's a map-related bug, but I'm not sure what's causing it; I'm having difficulty reproducing it. I'll fix it as soon as I can... but I need to find out its cause first.
I should also add a button to the Game Over screen for those who don't try to use X or Z...
It seems that other than that, any other 'bugs' reported are more from unfamiliarity with the game than anything else.

Great game, but im having a big problem with sticky keys, is that my keyboards problem or is anyone have the same thing. 5/5

Its getting annoying having to reload everytime I save the game, so I can see the map again. I trust this bug will be fixed soonish.

I LOVE THE MARDEK SERIES. Unfortunaly my saves disappeared, and I think I'm gonna restart from chapter 1. =) Just for the trip. =D

FOR THOSE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH TEMPERENCE (And balance in general)
The game was originally balanced for people continung with save files from chapter 2, where the characters are stronger, far better equipped and so on. Balance fixes were implemented to make it plausible to play the game normally on a fresh file, but you will have extra difficulties until you start to get better levels and gear.
As for Temperence itself, you HAVE TO CHECK IT'S WEAKNESSES (Click on it's HP bar for them to show). There are actually several versions of the monster and each have different vulnerabilities - these must be exploited in order to have a good chance of winning.
This also goes for the game itself; you need to be far more aware in a game like this compared to most recent RPG's - information is critical to your success.
Like some who have already posted, I was a beta tester for this game and therefore am very familiar with it; if you have any questions, feel free to ask me.
