I don't really see grinding as an issue. I'm most certainly not the best player out there, and I have managed to level Elwyen from level 9 to 25 in a little less than 40 minutes. Sharla can win any most Miasma Chamber encounter in the first round. Also a party of level 32-40 members is enough (level-wise) to beat both superbosses.

could some1 tell me wheres the trilobite in miasmal citadel? your walktrough says wondering in a corner but i dont see him. is it the room with all the chalices or somewhere else?

Wow. I haven't been so obsessed with a game like this in a long time. (To long, in-fact.) Great job on the game! Bummer I never played the first two.

4. Dunno if it's just me but dreamland makes my CPU fan go crazy from just walking through it... if you can decrease the required resources for that kinda area then peoples computers wont take off :D
5. Levelling - Exping is fine, but if you want to level all characters then you need to do them individually. You need a system where say... for all the xp you get rom killing a monster the rest of your characters that are not in party get at least half unless they are higher levelled then your highest character (in this case Mardek). If that's possible it will take a lot of the griniding hate away making it easier to level.
Just some suggestions if you wanna listen :)

Improvement suggestions:
1. Allow selection of menus through mouse clicking
2. Try to use a file format other then the one it always uses or encrypt it somehow... anyone with an editor for that file can edit everything from exp levels to what items you have in your storage.
3. Warportal - after you get the gold ticket you should be able to just walk over the sea o.O

@embri Your party must be: Mardek, Elwyen, Solaar, and Gloria, as only they can travel in the Dream World at that point. Then you get the amulet and you can take anyone you want.

Okay, I'm having an issue (not with the game, but it makes it so I no longer can play the game) my saves corrupted, and I'm assuming it's cuz the flash player is outdated.
I have 10,0,22,87, and it says I need 10,0,47,32 or whatever. If anyone knows how I might go about doing this, let me know. Whenever I go to Adobe and update my flash player. It tells me I've installed 10,0,22,87 and that it is the latest version. In fact, it tells me it's installing 10,1, but it never does. I tried uninstalling 10,0,22,87, and I tried finding a torrent for the version I need or higher (With no luck). Anybody got a clue?

Lol... I broke my computer addiction a while back which rooted around Facebook.
Now I'm addicted to this. So much for breaking addictions. xD
Not looking forward to doing everything over again, and hoping the 'undefined file' will work once or so, but I doubt it. Still, looks like I'm gunna be wasting time on this game a lot. xD I mean, it's not exactly a waste, but it keeps me from doing anything productive. That's a sign that this game is purely epic. 5/5 despite having to start over (Rating may vary upon venturing further into the game)

I can imagine how much potential this game has, but I'm never willing to get past that first sun temple place... It's a sequel (I haven't played Mardek 2 which might change things) so that's probably why, but you should think about incorporating a more engaging introduction. I've opened up and closed this game about five minutes into playing, three times already. There's too much walking and not enough player motivation (at least for me) which can be improved upon. For example, you could show us what happened to the temple so there's more motivation to explore through it. Or... just make the place have less walking xD It's not bad -- I loved the graphics for the battle sequences (for flash, it's impressive) and how the system was similar to FFX's, which was a favorite of mine :P I'll hold off my rating until I play this game further, but it will likely be a 5/5 in comparison to other games on this site ^^

@hyperjag7, I totally agree with you on what you said. This game is a masterpiece. I reminds me a little of The Legend of Dragoon. Rohoph inside of Mardek reminds me of the Dragoons inside the gems that the people use. I think Pseudolonewolf has the ability to make a small parody of any game and I would love to see more of his work.

@bobobo, Giving 2 minutes to play and critize a game is totally idiotic. "i just have to walk around pressing x on stuff, try better please" is the most idiotic thing i heard i guess. if you are not familiar with this game's genre, write your ideas in a suitable way.

Mardek was a great game even in its Chapter 1 which was a short one. I was looking forward to this game for a long time. And really happy to see it released. I hope i'll have the time to finish every detail on it (:

The AP system reminds me of final fantasy 9, but in a very, very good way :)

When you mean how to get legion, go talk to meraeador ( spelled correct 8-) ), he joins ur party and has multiple quests before you eventually get Legion.

Seeing how the warding stone eliminated all the random battles in the sun temple made me curious. Are there any missables in this chapter? Items, artifacts or even encyclopaedia entries that become inaccessible after a certain point?

F***ing hell! i FINALLY killed that MOTHERF***ING PIXIE... they are overpowered, have very little life, yet dodge a hellofalot of the time, they heal 30 hp each turn, it has haste, and cause confusion SO MUCH its not even funny anymore, seeing your character KO itself. also, you HAVE to kill one...
SPOILER: use a noxious bomb to poison it, and have the lizard dude in the party, he was bezerked by the pixie so he automatically attacked, pixie had 7 life left, poison killed it

This Is BY FAR the greatest flash game i have ever played all though 5 stars is the most on this site i cant even put it into the amount of stars it should get! Yeah there are lots of Haters on this Site but they probably don't know what they are saying so I wouldn't be bothered by them. Great Job on this game and I hope to see great games in the future!

I like it went RPG games are funny especially this game Like lol the priest in goznor is wearing a wig!! (its obvious when you give him the hair tonic) at the Gem mine the miner blocking the path says a very funny dialog. the raptor at the inn is going to be a millionaire. and the priest at sun temple says that his level 1 and the monsters below are 10 (I think his too lazy to level up and he keeps on running away) just epic. Humor is one of the best aspects of this game and I wish that in the next up to the final chapters this would be attained. GOOD LUCK!!

a nice impossible badge would be good for the two superrbosses... only got the first one and that was hard... like impossibly so... if the second one is harder... i dunno if i could beat so IMPOSSIBLE BADGE

The should be a refreshable training level or something after you beat the different temples. Maybe you coul double the "spawnrate" in them. That would allow some reasonable practice for some off the extrachallenges. You would also be able to try different strategies and equal out some off the leveldifferences.

just as 348joey said, I can see this game on a handheld. I personally think that this would fit the DS better as well. Well, seeing this game remade to the DS (well GBA back then) is a Vision I've had since I played the first game. Now, about the game...I can't believe how freakin amazing this game is. I waited a long time but it's worth the wait. This game beats many console RPGs IMO. Well, thanks Pseudo!
