Other than the fact that I wasn't awarded the card or any of the badges when I completed them (no fault of the game designer), I found this to be an impressive game. The gauntlet, though difficult and sometimes annoying, is entirely possible once you know the path to take, provided that you go through enough times (I did get over 100 deaths in it). Being able to generate and play user-made levels sure adds to the enjoyment of this game, allowing you to go through more than just the campaign.

I thought the Gauntlet was mildly hard... Then I saw that in the end I got more than 10 deaths through it and was sad.

"What was that shattering sound, mommy?" "That was the sound of Vanilla's will being broken by the awesome power of the Gauntlet, dear."

Changes I'd like to see happen: No damn energy balls! or make them dodgeable with your invisable ability... A 1 screen game mode with no invisible side. (its should be optional) And more skills! Maybe something with short invincibility?

I don't know if it's something odd with my keyboard, or an error with the game, but using WASD was very finicky when invisible. It would be impossible to be invisible while running up a wall or across a ceiling, things like that. Was a fun game once I started using the arrow keys, though.

@ZombieCompacter Winning feels more satisfying when you have to try hard to make it through, I feel genuinely accomplished after beating the gauntlet just now. There's no punishment for dying other than starting over or from the midway checkpoint, and the levels are pretty small. Plan your moves in advance, and if they don't work, try another plan.

ctrl+alt+down arrow will flip the screen upside down on most computers... helps a whole hell of a lot on campaign level 7

im stuck on lvl 7, how do u climp up the wall and be invisible at the same time? i cant get past the laser that has spikes next 2 it on the roof.

This game would be good if not for the momentum of the character being so damn strong. I'll take a step or start climbing a wall then go careening into spikes or mines. Also the energy ball shooters are just retarded. 3/5 for a game that would've been great if not for those two things. Thumbs up if you agree.

I thought it was pretty good overall. One small suggestion is to make the jump key different than the up key (meaning for climbing). It got pretty annoying not being able to make that gap between two mines while climbing up a wall. 4/5.

To me, personally, this is not fun; it is just memorization of longer and longer patterns. Failing to remember the pattern results in death and starting again, until you successfully memorize the pattern. I think a bit more variety would help enormously - some different music, some visual variety, some interstitial plot, anything, really. The sparseness of these elements detracts from what could be an interesting game.

I'm having a problem where after hitting shift, the game doesn't seem to recognize that I've let up on the key -- it drains my blue bar, and I never get any back, possibly because the game things I'm still trying to use it. Is there a way to fix this, or am I doing something wrong?

The game controls are just imprecise enough to make an otherwise enjoyable game unfun. Fix the controls and it will be 5/5. For now its 2/5

@PsyFlash It must be 30 or 40 times that I've attempted level 13, taken my hands off the keyboard, and the character continues to crawl across a ceiling, then drop into the gun-fire. In my case that's 'my' definition of the controls suck. Nothing to do with the slide dynamic when on a level surface.

Hmm... I'm not sure of the control set-up if I take my hands off the keyboard, and the character continues performing the action I was pressing the keyboard for. This game is so annoying that I've stopped playing one step before achieving both medium badges. Next!

I have a feeling that the people who say the controls suck are just bad at the game. While exercising any sort of caution, the small amount of slide shouldn't lead to your death unless you try to stop JUST before a trap. If you are any kind of smart, you'll stop before you get anywhere near it. Are the controls perfect? No, but if you are dying a lot because 'of the controls' then the controls are not the problem.

Omg i thought Gauntlet mode was going to be haaaard. No it's just a normal game, try mario asshole 2 if you think this is difficult haha
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Nice game, you have to use your brain + skills.
To get to the hole you had to make a way very often to know how the traps work and how to evade them.
Well, I give the game a 4/5. :3

@ ZombieCompacter: I really say that you're incorrect saying it's way too hard, I did all the campaign levels without going over 10 deaths on any level, and I got all the discs...
Other then that I say a really good game! 4/5 :)
