Well, I beat it. I killed the cyclops and beat the game. That's it. There are only two bosses. "But Sarah, that's not the end! You have to kill four bosses and then defeat the Darkness! And there's probably more after that!" I know, but I'm calling the second boss the last boss, because that's all I can handle right now.

*Spoiler alert*: So after upgrading the Merchant to level 4 the monsters you sell actually give you more money then you invest in them for leveling them up. This way you can make money alot faster to get to higher levels. My current highest level is 50 and i started playing this 2 days ago (Idle ofcourse). Hope this helps some of you who get stuck at the start! :)

Optimized Healing should be healing the party member that has the lowest percentage of health remaining or the most health missing. Currently, Optimized Healing is more like Racist Healing.

when i want to click the stickers on level 29, because it was hiding behind the "home" button, i scroll so it it not being cover, but then it moved back and i clicked and went home.....start all over again

With a best zone of 32, I became stuck at lvl 20 because all in the opposing team had Heal, so I couldn't defeat them. This kind of randomness in the enemies traits is annoying.

As mentioned by others, be sure to use the frog.
The Medium badge is time consuming, not hard. It's a simple Gatcha game, with skill management at it's core. DPS is almost unimportant for the badge. Focus on that frog (take note of the HPS, heals per second, value). Teach him and anyone else you can find healing abilities. My main tank had heal on hit. My frog had heal the leader and heal the group. I had an octopus, innately hits all foes, I gave him heal the group and blind foes on hit (blind enemies don't hit you). I had one solid DPS'er, and one guy who hit the last unit (useful for dropping enemy healers).
That's kind of it. Good luck fellow badge hunters!

Epic! Combining retro pixel style with modern retarded design of click-through tutorial and cash grab. I wish I could rate it less than 1 :(

Took 5 days to get from easy badge to medium badge. Emphasize healing traits -- keep leveling up the frog, give it optimized heal, and put it at the back. I did pretty well with a Nymph at the front with holy spirit to absorb damage. I found most traits were very slightly helpful except for the healing traits, which are super important.
All things considered -- happy to have the badge and be done with the game.

OK... Just started my team at their farthest outpost (44), while they have been in the high 40's multiple times and even hit 50 once. Today, the very first monster in 44 one shot every single member of my team, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang. When people are complaining about the pacing, it's stuff like that that they're talking about. It's not only slow, it's also unpredictable in a bad way.

For those who want to consider doing the medium badge, you'll need at least 3 to 4 days of quite active playing to achieve this. FWIW, finished with 5 epics, Manticore lvl27 with heal at front, Dreadnaught lvl27, Elder lvl32 with heal, Sphinx lvl25, Griffin lvl21 with healing aura. The heals are critical for advancing maps. The 56 map boss can't kill any of my monsters with this setup.

Some of the daily quests are not achievable most of the time; sell 2 level 30+ monsters, progress 3 maps further than your max, etc.

Inventory while looking at a monster should show monster's stats, this will help decide whether to keep or sell or whatever. Equiping monster to look at stats is just too stupid & way too tedious.
The stupid Keep or Re-roll should let players have an option to always Keep so that this stupid screen doesn't come up everytime you catch a new monster. No one is stupid enough to re-roll.

There is a glitch with Giant Toad. He has optimized heal it should heal on every attack. However unless it is himself he does not heal. Then if a unit dies he starts attacking and healing from the back. Not sure why but I assume it is a mistake. Really pisses me off.

First time I'm seeing a game in the genre, where offline progress is bigger than idle online progress. Just goes to show how much the developers don't want us to play their game.

Potions & scrolls should have their own storage inside the Backpack, the 6 slots should be use for equiping what you want to use.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The stupid outpost screen which do nothing is also a waste of time. Should at least heal all to full health at conquered outpost or something for players to click to gain resources so this screen will not just be a waste of time.

Unless you have epic luck and already know shit you can only learn by playing (or I guess reading a tutorial if anyone cared enough to make one) the medium badge does take at least 3 days to get and that's playing contentiously clicking smartly sacrificing upgrading and closing the tab so it can "idle" while you're offline. It's only worth the effort if you're a completionist about badges. The complaints here are legitimate, Kong does things for money sometimes, but we don't have to reward a game that it's a chore to play.

Tribute shouldn't need the 15 mins count down. You need to have the correct combination in the first place, so it's just a stupid setup.
The requirement to Clear Area X for building upgrade is also stupid. You need the gold to upgrade, thus having to clear areas X before you can upgrade is stupid. Upgrading the building to enable me to clear areas faster is why I want to upgrade.

The barracks, just like my budget, are a frustrating exercise in deciding which items I can keep in there for now and which I cannot. Does not provide the escape from real life I was hoping for.

I'm confused, I turned off my computer, went to sleep, went to work, did some errands, turned on my computer, and when I log in it says "while you were out (2 minutes)". Those were a pretty productive 2 minutes of my life, unless I'm misunderstanding something

Even with a combo of online and offline play, after a week I'm only pushing area 18. Upgrades don't seem to do much for how expensive they are, and you acquire far too few monsters to level up your main team. Without an effective way to buy monsters (or a major boost in how often new monsters are picked up), the progress is just too slow to justifiy.

I'm.... kind of sad. This game has a lot going for it in terms of aesthetic and music score-- those parts are really well done. But it is a really unpleasantly boring slog that would be borderline not worth it even if it weren't for the atrocious "click a bunch to go faster" mechanic. I don't think it's unfixable, but it's kind of not worth playing as is.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Absolutely nightmarish game that I feel was ALMOST good, it had potential, and then just turned into an anti-fun slog. Fortunately the programming is so bad that you can manually adjust your computer's clock to get millions of gold in "idle," do a lot of "daily" quests, and use those gems to buy enough potions to beat the second boss.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Even the shop is horrible, I wasted gems on the gacha not realizing it resets itself. Such a greedy game! Even YGO! Duel Links wasn't this bad. Worst badge of 2019 IMO.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Game is boring and traits are poorly explained. Without proper traits you can't heal despite it being CRITICAL for survival (unless you enjoy having toads in your party).
This is one of the most pay2win badges on Kong and I hate it to death.
I figured if the dev is so bad at making games the time-travel exploit probably works. After changing my PC clock and time traveling for a couple MONTHS I finally assembled a decent team and got the badge. Team was 3 Elf with 2 Tribalism, Elder with Killing Streak and Healer, and Manticore with Vampire and Repurpose. Don't put the Elder in the far back or he'll die sooner due to Backstab.

Since I know the devs are reading this: Most of the complaints about this being a cash grab would go away if you allowed people to buy creatures for gold instead of just gems and kong bucks. The cost for starting at the last save point should be about a tenth of what it is now. The game isn't properly "idle" because it doesn't idle when you're still online but not in the tab and the creatures don't automatically start questing again after going home. Saying the equivalent of "U mad bro" to commenters who have played hundreds or thousands of similar games and have constructive feedback is not an alternative to good game design.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
How is this an Idle game? Zero progress when closed - even ending your current run when closing the tab/browser. They also *don't* restart a run after dying off. NOT IDLE.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The game has a lot of potential but it is riddled with issues. You aren't able to automatically resend your group into battle, unlearning traits can cost up to 50 gems, the hud covers up peelable stickers, and offline only counts for 12 hours and 2 creatures caught. There was even a problem with my healer doing nothing because my group was killing the enemy before it could strike. After a certain point, I realized there were only a couple creatures that could properly fit the role as tank or healer. I know I'm supposed to give some latitude because it is an idle game but it was far too punishing and problematic for my blood.

Gave me the first free warp before telling me it would skip the daily quests. And I was almost done. 1/5 for a tutorial fail.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Visually, it feels very crammed in. Reading the little font shouldn't be this hard, and if there are any good graphics I can't see them.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
when you are on another tab or window you should automatically collect the monsters and not have to click keep every time. I was wondering why my capture rate was so low.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Got a lucky "master" level unit by using gems earned in game. At level 3 it was stronger than my level 20+ units which are 1 tier less. $MONEY $GRAB
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
For Badge Hunters, I'll repeat what others have suggested: Once you figure out the base leveling mechanics, you'll be stuck unless you use a good team. Leveling random units is worthless. Your set-up should be Healer-Healer-DPS-Tank-Tank. Your middle DPS should be the shop Legendary unit for 150 gems, with any attack traits you can give it (check the player guide in-game for trait details). Your two Healers should be Toads with Healing Aura or Optimized Heal (I did one of each). Your Tanks MUST be Manticores, they are by far the best tank, but also a rough grind to get. Give them Vampire and Rage if you can. You can swap the middle Tank for another Epic DPS if you want; I used Sphinx. That should be enough to get past stage 56 with levels 50-50-25-25-25 or so. Also, don't waste gems on the gacha machines - it's way too random to be reliable, better to save up for timeskips or a second legendary.
