This happened because of autoclicker clicking the "Retrying" button too fast.. I refreshed to fix it and then recreated the problem by using it on the button

Ok... died at a boss, went back 2 levels instead of 1. There were about 8 monsters in the level instead of 4. I kill 4 and 4 more spawn which go back up to 8. I successfully get to 100% on the map even though I couldnt kill everything and it moves me to the next level. 4 monsters spawn and i think im good... nope... the previous maps monsters run up behind me and start hitting me in the back of the head....

The "Buy X" button in the stats menu is bigger than the game itself! .... if you have autoclicker turned on and press it. The animation doesnt complete before the 2nd click happens and the button grows until its larger than the game window lol

Several of the background mountains in the 31-70 stage areas are not on the correct layers. The mountains move slower infront of mountains behind them giving the feeling the mountain has legs and is following me ;o
Thanks for the feedback! We'll add this to our list. We're also overhauling the backgrounds (plains and forest) to a hopefully better version in the future as well.

What no one is saying is that the offline earnings WERE bugged in a super cool way. If you promise not to fix it until you are out of beta I will explain.
Ok I assume you have promised. If you log in, and leave the game running for say 24 hrs, all the while gaining levels and spending exp, when you are about to transcend, reload the game. It keeps the anima you earned from playing, and gives you anima with the assumption that you were offline for the 24 hrs you were playing! Basically doubling your anima.
Remember, don't fix it until you are out of beta. You PROMISED!!!! (I assume)

Will try clearing cache later. The error I get about once a day on Firefox is just an out of memory error. I'm not out of memory, but Firefox is using 6-7 GB. (https://imgur.com/a/YnuITY6).

Using Firefox 55.0.3 64bit(I need to use that for one of my add-ons to continue to work), the game sometimes freezes in this way: All of the buttons still work, but she doesn't shoot and the enemies don't move. Or sometimes I get an error after a few hours that says it crashed. I'll post the error the next time it happens. So I tried Chrome, but it sticks on 'initializing' (https://imgur.com/a/DQRghIq) so I can't use Chrome at all. Just a head's up. I'll post the other error the next time it occurs.
Hi, anima is the resource used to purchase Essence. Essences are the things you buy to boost your character's stats. Challenge gives you the resources to buy Traits (passive skills).

We'll add some tooltips and help page for each screen in the future. To answer your question, CRIT EVA% reduces the chance of receiving critical hits. ASPD increases attack speed. Feli DMG increases the tap damage (the green pet).
Hi, we lowered starting TP to 10 and increased the cap of TP essence. Our testers were having an abundance of TP so we decided to push some of it in the essence.

I'm not a big fan of how attack speed, crit %, and crit damage decrease as you level. I could maybe understand a small and steady decrease, but not by as much as they do. Just to maintain your early power level, you must invest significantly into each of these stats. The attack speed loss in particular is frustrating to me. You barely gain power at all by investing into AGI (unless you invest A LOT there), you're just trying to slow down the attrition of losing power by leveling. I'd rather see attack speed stay relatively stable as you level, but *gaining* attack speed should be increasingly expensive relative to the points invested. So perhaps it takes 100 points to get 150% AS (regardless of level), 1000 points for 250% AS, 10000 points for 350%, etc. (I'm sure you can figure out a better scale than this for balance.)

pretty decent Idle upgrade clicker. personaly i'd like another or maybe 2 other heroes. each hero relies on their set of capabilities, like archer is dex and ag, fighter is str and dex and wizard is.. well.. something like that. only issue is.. the game name .. it's based on archer :). oh and the log-off bonus feels alittle overpowered.
Shovel Knight featured playable characters that weren't a knight ;) We have a draft idea on this but no promises and it's very far off from patches. Thanks for the suggestion, we'll brainstorm on that aspect more. As for log-off bonus, we're looking to rebalance this in patch 0.4.2 coming out soon.

the talents are broken :-( leveling up the piercing arrow specifically doesn't work where it itsn't timing down with crits and is only percing one enemey *hitting a total of 2 every 3 hits, crits withstanding at lvl 8* the new anima system still needs a reset, the latest patch 4.1 continues to reward fast rebirths with no real leveling progression in between rebirths being important other then how to quickly reach your highest avalible stage (since you can't really push past the high enemy stat gates)

Started having an issue where galeforce would cancel (disappear, stop doing damage) almost immediately after the cast never reaching range mobs (even if they are the only ones up)

This might have been noted before but I see a minor bug with the UI when you go to another stage/level. If you have skills on auto cast the animation around the auto skill button stays while the rest of the UI is hidden.

current game is lacking in content and repeatability, the progression system is lacking in consistency and the new traits hardly do anything to add to the strategic choices players "make"; the game currently punishes your stats when your progress making your overall atk speed/crits/etc. reduce per level of a stage, this causes a pinch point at lvl x-9 for every stage where the amount of enemies and the reduced stats make it the hardest, if you can beat x-9 your going to beat the boss (give your bosses some love too). the Random Anima feature instead of making this better just makes it harder when you picking the wrong stats; A reset of the anima system is sorely needed so you can strategize your game play as you continue

For now, DEX influences ACC (accuracy). ACC is based on Sylpheed's DEX and the monster's AGI. As monsters get stronger, your ACC goes lower hence making your minimum attack lower as you advance.

I believe this is my second review after six months of not playing.
I really like the new trait system, while the depth of it hasn't been completely shown to me. I think it's exactly what this game needed.
Some added diversity might be shown in possibly adding an enemy that is flying above the player that slows down the initial onslaught of enemies because your character has to focus on shooting upward (this may add more usefulness to the ability system, since pushing back enemies would give you said chance to shoot down flying enemy). Just a thought. Anyways keep it up and looking forward to the next update.

other than longer load times i have not real issues with the current update 0.4.0 of the game . i do however think that the only problem i kind of have is the length of the challenge cd and as far as i can tell no way to increase the number of challenges one can do at a time yes does add for a longer play through of the game but also turns a fun new addition to the game ie the traits system into a chore or in other words a grind

i seem to either be having an issue with the game loading or the game just is not loading because i have tried to play this on both firefox and chrome both since the 4.0.0 update and it get to authenticating and just stops

Oh yea... Stat points capping at lvl 10 it seems happened really quick and it should continue to go up. Maybe just decrease the chance of it more though
Looks like you were lucky :) Most players are currently raging that they're not getting enough of it. Like in my reply earlier, we have plans on improving (or replacing) the current Essence system.

I've played for a few days now and seem to have hit a point where I've somewhat walled. I don't seem to gain Anima as quick any more, and i definitely don't get much essence now that it is quite expensive. I do agree with others that its kind of upsetting to be penalized trying to get better essence, and I feel like the cost in general to get essence goes up too quick. I would also like to see something else other than just running and re-running over and over trying to get a bit farther. Some sort of missions or actual purpose would be nice.
Hi, the team has actually drafted something to improve the current Essence system. We'll be posting more information once we finalize this.
With regards to the "goals" of the game, we're adding a new progression system in the next version. We will continue adding more stuff along with polishing the existing system. Edit v0.4.1 is out with Essence Rework and Traits (from v0.4.0) please let us know what you think!

Why do your stats seem to drop every time you level? You put points into things but they diminish constantly... why would that be the case?

Does stat point essence cap out at lvl 10? I have over 200 anima, and 100 every other essence and haven't seen a stat point essence since I was below 100 in anime (I always reroll to get Stat point or anime from essences)

When leaving it run for awhile while in the background (Using another browser window completely) the background starts to shift past the edge to the left and you get part or eventually the entire background of the game being just black.
