Nice and addicting game however a bit to easy (I haven't lost it yet) and the randomness is a bit annoying. I tried some 4 or 5 different strategies (build a hell lot of planes and then destroy everything that moves, get over 90% intelligence ind intercept carefully balancing on a thick line with few planes and pilots, keep a balance anomg all kinds of recruits, don't worry about the cities as long as You don't loose 80% of some and only then start rebuilding etc.) All led to success sooner or later...

@commando2224: fun fact: British were loosing people under german attacks when Americans were happy to be out of the war. It was so until Japs attacked Pearl Harbour.
By the way, British weren't much better when Hitler attacked Poland. However, they declared the war at least...

Good game, but it becomes rather easy once you get the idea and a good strategy, I think that it shouldn't be as straight forward with bad stuff happening win you are winning and good stuff when losing, also it would be nice to have a bit more of variety of enemies like the V1 and allies too.

It's a fun game with a lot of potential. I think the design is really difficult because it's supposed to SEEM hard and desperate. Winning should feel like limping across the finish line. The Battle of Britain wasn't about Britain bravely massacring the Luftwaffe as soon as they crossed the Channel, it was about holding the country together while the RAF did whatever they could. Here's my suggestions: -Make the combat math more transparent(how much better are Spitfires?) -Instead of ramping up the difficulty through random events and losing an inordinate amount of planes, just have a lot more German planes attack as the game goes on -Someone else suggested more recruiters. Again, I'd balance this out with more German attacks Random Idea: Ace Pilots You'd have to track an individual pilot, but perhaps if a pilot survived X battles he turns into an Ace. You could either keep him on as a more effective pilot, or ground him to bolster recruiting efforts. 4/5

Correction to PhoenixW: you need 3.3 gathers per plane per day, not 5. So just make sure you have a couple more than 3.3*number of planes per day and it'll all work out.

yes! american aid to the rescue, back when it was given to countries who deserved it and would use it well instead of putting it in their own pockets!

When the British cracked the German Enigma codes, it wasn't exactly published in the newspapers. It was kept secret to the point of sacrificing countless ships to the U-Boats, all to prevent the Germans from finding out their cyphers weren't secure.
So, instead of making that a newspaper splash, perhaps make it a TOP SECRET intelligence report?

I thought the game was epic. Not too difficult but there was always the doubt the that I wouldn't hold out after a terribly unlucky battle or two + production/recruitment disruptions. Victory in 40 days.

oh and also (sorry if it seems like I'm a comment hog) it would take 3 hurricanes to take out 1 messer and 5 per heinkell 3 per junker and 4 per dorneir while a spitfire will take out 1-2 messer and 2 per heinkell .75 per junker and about 4 per dorneir. I havn't found out stukas yet
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
1-50 stukas and 1-30 heinkell hell bombers is going to attack xxxxxxxxx, xxxxxxxx, xxxxxx, xxxxxxxxx or xxxxxxxx. seriously I would rather know where there attacking then how many are attacking.

Does anyone honestly know how much the Spitfire is better than the Hurricane? I'd think that double the Hurricats would be on par or at least a little less powerful than Spitfires.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Combat is ridiculously random. Losing five spitfires because a single ME109 pilot knows how to do a barrel roll and mine don't is totally not cool, especially when everything I have has such a high investment cost.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Wait let me get this straight... My six or so planes were shot down by a lone enemy pilot? I guess he must have done a barrel roll or something... Wish our pilots could do that.

Glitch:if you go to main menu in game and reload, you get different spy accuracy and different german atttack plans<------ accidently clicked it and my 6 incoming attacks changed to one lol.

@frenchdude The defiant was more suited to attacking bombers and was actually used in The BoB whilst the spits and hurricanes took the fighter escorts the defiants attacked the bombers

There were actually no other types of British fighters during that time
but there was the Defiant, with a 4-mg turret at the back but it was ineffective,so with was removed from battle at the first days of the Battle of Britain

AA guns are a good idea, but researching and upgrading the planes are a pretty bad ones, because you won't research a plane if it already exist nad upragde ones
btw there is a radar zone,it's the one with the weird towers, these ones are the radars
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
A little more consistency with plane vs plane combat would be nice.
Watching 4 fighters and 2 bombers wipe out 25 of my Spitfires was definitely a wtf moment.
Especially since it then took me 4 days to get my fighter compliment back up to where I could defend effectively.

Almost forgot. Why is it with 100% Intelligence, I'm still only getting information on 1 out of 4 areas that are targeted to be hit? I get to protect one, whoopee-freakin-doo, the other five areas are getting the snot pounded out of them. Line up my intelligence officers. They are going to be shot.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Equal amounts fun and frustrating so far...the biggest discrepancy is there seems to be absolutely no way to gauge how well your forces are going to do against the enemy, even with accurate intelligence. When two hurricanes can take out six bombers, and five spitfires have total losses against two fighters, something is seriously amiss.

The game is highly addictive and really sets the feel of desperation. I managed to win the first time(though it took around 55 days) round and before I knew it I had spent many hours playing the game!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
i think its a great game only when you have won you cant realy play anymore you have to load it every time again so thats the only - i have found
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Love the game!
but the killing rate is very random it seems.
also i would love that you had to research the plane instead.
maybe be able to research things like the radar. Be able to build AA guns in the cities, give a % for defence.
Be able to upgrade the plane maybe ?
love the game anyway!
