My tips include: 1) Brush up on the realistic aspect; There is no way one spitfire shoots down 4 ME 110s. Second, put in a factor which involves developing your own strategy. Meeting the germans at the channel all the time is pretty stupid, and the Germans would easily take advantage of the continued use of one tactic. Next, put in a factor which involves the industry a bit more. The heroes of the battle were the people in the factories, not just the pilots. Finally, add a moral feature. This would be one of the greatest additions which could be made to the game. The determining factor in Britains victory in the battle of Britain was the peoples refusal to see their moral broken. The germans ceased their bombing raids because they were could not force the british people to back down and because they were tired of losing their pilots for no reason. Overall, I give it a 3/5. Change the things I pointed out and it would be worth a 5/5 at least.

so basically when i hold off 5 attacks at once with a bunch of planes i get a negative effect at the start of the next turn.but if i do no defending at all i'll get 10 pilots or spies or 10% intel increase? thats ........... dumb.

Great game, i would love badges. And it would be cool if you could get more recruits each day. Another thing, make fire fighters more useful because they didn't seem to be protecting and reducing damage as much as they should have.

I'll have 2x the number of planes and still lose over half my force. What's up with that? Overwhelming odds should count for a lot more than they do.

Quite weird that if you send 6 spitfires into a wave of enemies with for example 10 shooters and 10 bombers, First you shoot 6-10 shooters down and all of your spittfires are down, Normally the bombers should just fly trough but they suddenly are hit by something invisible bringing them down ;)

What happened? I sent out 52 planes and still didn't get the achivement: Master of the skies! Your suposed to send out 50 OR MORE planes in one day to get it and i did that!

Not a bad little game but two of the achievements are based purely on luck. Sending 1 plane out against 3 enemies and surviving and the one for shooting down 20 bombers in one raid. I've played through the thing 3 times now and have never had 20 bombers show up in one raid and never had a single plane survive attacking 3 enemies (tried that one about 20 times so far). Still like the game though! 3/5

Nice, strategic game, even though a bit buggy. I lost Midlands, day 41, refreshed site, went back and played. At day 43, I apparently lost Midlands again, and got the ''Germans invade! Battle lost!'' but due to having killed over 300 germans, I right after got the ''Germans Surrender! Battle Won!'' message, and it did count as a win, with fireworks and all, luckily ^^

Nice but too easy. Also not nice when you have workers ill for several days in a row (and they consume metal anyway even without build any plane).
shakebite44: I didn't see any ads in this game, maybe because of AdBlock addon.

Tip: Try to get "Heavily damaged district OH NOES" news occasionally. Every Bad News will be compensated by some good news eventually. You don't have to keep every district 100%. Just hold above 55% since heaviest raids halve the city region occasionally.
Finished 36 days, every region 70'%ish, and only 150 planes lost. I think Spitfires and Hurricanes should be built 50-50, to overwhelm the enemy.

Overall interesting game, but seemed to random for battles to me. I sent 1 Spit against 11 enemies and he shoots em all down. Then later i send 4 guys against 2 a JU-88 and a 109 and i lose 3 planes. Very inconsistent fighting, this is the biggest drawback to the game.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
If it was just a little bit less random, I think it'd make it a great game. It is indeed supposed to seem hard : somehow I felt desperate and hopeless, surely how the Brit's felt desperate and hopeless during the war, but rethinking the random patterns, maybe adding a 'storyline' would help the out the game.
Random : it's the only thing I have to say about the game. Otherwise, it's a great game.

I really hate the fact that a squadron of 5 nazi planes can destroy 14 of mine, historically, bombers were easy meat for fighters, espacially when they only havd one plane escorting them
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
game seems ok, even if the combat depends way too much on luck - only major gripe is an annoying bug which has made me lose the game too early. I lost the east coast because i forgot to put firefighters on it before ending turn, so it was destroyed. It was then attacked again next turn, even though i couldn't do anything to defend it, and destroyed again = 2 destroyed cites and game loss. this needs to be fixed, because it's wasted the entire of that game

Really awesome game, 5/5! I would like to see some kinda survival mode or sth, as I don't really like having to stop after 300 kills...
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
100 spitfires against 9 planes, All enemy planes down, but we our planes keep falling, we assume they got stealth planes!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Enemy losses: 1 Ftr 3 bombers (and 1 bomber gets through)
My planes lost: 19 Spitfires (out of 35)
Yeah it's the extreme case, but similar keep happening a lot. And why do I still take losses even after all the enemy is dead? Or is that just it takes longer for the animation to play out if one side takes a ton of losses?
Anyway, there's something seriously wrong or RANDOM AND WRONG about the combat resolution. Wasn't a whole part of the Battle of Britain that the RAF pilots needed to have good kill ratios? Seems that the RAF side having fewer but better planes would be more realistic? Not much pressure on the supply side either. Maybe diminishing returns on increased recruits? The 20th scavenger gets only half what the 1st one does, etc.?
Still, the game is easy to beat, fun concept and good ideas/execution. If this is the first version of something bigger, I look forward to it.

OMFG IT FREEZS WTF DO I DO I WON ALL GAMES YET THEY DONT LET ME GO FORWARD IT WOULD BE A AWSOME GAME BUT U GOTTA BE KIDDING
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Good game, but sometimes very frustrating. It's a constant slog to keep going and when quite often you're doing ok you then get penalised by a negative effect. (imo I think they come more often wen you do good). Also when you take out all but 1 of their planes and then suddenly 10 of your planes blow up... wtf? The fighting seems so random sometimes with them wiping out your entire army even when you heavily outnumber them.

Awesome and fun and engaging. I give it 5/5 but it could be harder. I mean, I completed the game the first time round so......
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Achievements dont work. I sent out 50 planes and didnt get awarded with the "send out 50 or more planes" medal. then i sent out 51 - in case 50 is not "50 or more"... didn't receive the medal. then i sent out 20 planes in one day in each 3 different battles. still nothing. :(
and the medal "prevent a raid containing 20 bombers from dropping 1 single bomb" is nonsense. never happened that 20 bombers came for me...
this game is badly balanced and too buggy for more than 3 stars. 2 stars for cool idea, 1 star for graphics.
not more.
keep on working on this game, dude.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
How, in God's name, does the factory work? I have all my men allocated to Spitfires but I keep receiving around 13 Hurricanes per day. O_O
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
For the first turns ONLY recruit recruiters until you have 20, then recruit builders to repair and then spies and firefighters to prevent damage. Put the rest into gatherers and workers. And then get your pilots much later when you have overwhelming numbers and 100% intelligence.

Put North in Top Middle, SE in Bottom right, SW in bottom left, E in Top right, London in bottom, and midlands in top left.

I'm wondering how the boop I'm supposed to be able to beat twice as many German planes as the number of British ones I'm sending out in a single day, unless every single one of my British pilots is doing the "you miraculously survive 1 vs 3" achievement...
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
A squadron of approx. 3-11 planes spotted. Squadron contains 0-8 Junkers and 2-10 Messerschmitts. The squadron's intended target is one of the following: entire list is covered by black bar. Ooh. so it's 1 in 6 cities? at third round?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Seems to be something seriously screwy with the battles. No way I should be able to out number my opponents more than 3 to 1 and they're still able to kill as many planes as they do.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
So I keep trying the math in my head and I just cant figure out how I keep getting all these negatives. I even managed to lose planes I did not even send into the fight.
