Just a suggestion since at this point in the game , the only thing everyone does is just split.
The karma should be non-existent, and there should be a fourth choice : counter-steal, which would steal the opponent's share if they chose steal, and lose all money if the opponent chose to share.
As for why there should be no karma : You can instantly tell when someone is a thief by it, and the branding of a thief function is really awful. Players should always be Anonymous in order for neither to have an advantage.
This game rewards being nice and punishes the other choices which limits the players. If that is not possible, just the fourth choice alone would make the game more thrilling in my opinion.
But the idea of the game is great!
This problem has been seen to occur on devices that are running Chrome, and may be running low on available RAM. Switching to Firefox or Safari should resolve this issue for you :)

I think reputation (probably won't be called reputation then) should be based on whether you win or not. i.e. if you steal and enemy splits, you should get + reputation rather than - reputation, otherwise there's no incentive to steal.

the update is great but i have a suggestion, at high stakes rank make the players to see opponent with basic light/skin AND make it to NOT leave "hints/recap" on match history window.
Keeping your light/skin was actually intentional - the original version DID default them, but this was disabled in order to let players have the choice themselves. You can keep your skin on to try and build a level of trust/psych someone out with flashing red lights.. or, you can go and manually set yourself to default (or another skin) before entering the High Stakes queue :)

Thieves are called out in the next round, in Kong chat, and in the leaderboards below the game. To give incentive to stealing, make it so that if two people steal they keep the money but get reset to T1. Well, except for on T10. And get rid of the "Recently stole" warning. Fun game as it is, though!

The thing about the prisoners dilemma is from a logical perspective, it is always better to steal than to share, and the dilemma is between what is the better move from a selfish perspective and our inclination towards cooperation. In this game splitting is both more logical and more cooperative because there are consequences to stealing, so it doesn't really work- of course people are always splitting. The only thing stealing has going for it is that it's more fun to see how much stealing you can get away with, but it's not a good move strategically.

The thing about a game like this, is that the risk isn't very high. the original dilemma makes it so that they can't speak with each other and that they are competing for freedom not money so they are more unpredictable and desperate. There isn't a limit how much money someone can get, so its in everyone's advantage to split because if you steal you are getting more for one round, but you can get much more by being civil.

it would be smart to make it so that if both players steal, they each get 1/4 of the coins or something similar. This is more like the prisoners dillemna because in that if both of them rat eachotehr out, they both get 8 months of jail, if neither rat eachother out both get 6 months, and if only one rats out then the person who didnt gets 1 year and the one who did gets 4 months, or something similar. This way, instead of people never stealing because they could lose, then it would make far more sense.

I hate to say it, but I think there may be a need to reward stealing more. As much as I always split, you can always do more runs
Steal bonuses are currently the most powerful you can earn within your org/hq - so, it may be worth your while teaming up with likeminded people to give them a buff :)

Karma is way too punishing on those who steal- even if you steal 1/10 times it will go down statistically. This will only get worse with the Heist update, as those who most need defense (more stealing = more heists on you) are the ones denied it. If you want to fix the current pleasantville mindset start there.
Low Karma will actually equate to a higher attack power in heists - so, having low karma is beneficial here. Karma values have also been drastically adjusted over the weekend, which should now allow for more steals if you're looking to keep your karma count high enough for defense.

I found something very interesting with this game... It might look like this is a choice between evil (stealing) and good (splitting). But If you think about it, whatever the choice I make, my fate depend entirely on the other player. if he steals I lose, if he splits I win. Thus this game is not about the choice you make, but only you ability at convincing the other player of spliting... Very interesting indeed...

i like how as soon as orgs formed, you immediatly got huge clans with big bonuses, and some clans that are dedicated to stealing and such. Pretty cool how the bonuses change things, i am getting top tier a lot more now i think

and if someone used counter-steal to counter-steal it will just count as steal and reset them back to tier 1. if someone used split to split, thats fine, and if someone used steal to steal then obviously it's going to be back to tier 1. problem solved.

so new idea, imagine this game as rock paper scisscors, i believe there needs to be a third option, imagine rock is steal, and scisscors is split, if someone uses rock(steal) to scissors (split) then scissors has no defense. but a solution to this problem is if you added counter-steal(paper) this would simply counter the steal and it'll be done, however you say, " well what about when someone uses countersteal against a person doing split, well in this case scissors cuts paper which means split would beat counter-steal. i believe this is the best thing but upvote if you agree so dev can see maybe

@CyberClawz nah, then everyone would select counter steal. Even if you set it up so that counter-steal wouldn't get the reward if the other person shared, then the game is just a more advanced version of rock paper scissors.

I'm bored of waiting for a match. Sitting for 2 minutes doing nothing but waiting for a match, only for that match to be canceled and putting me back into waiting line for minutes. It's a good concept, but terribly boring
A Major update is landing on May 3rd which will hopefully see us retain the playerbase a little better - alongside standalone versions coming to Kartridge/Steam which should further increase our player counts. I apologise for the terrible queue times at the moment - but rest assured, everything possible is being done to abate them :)

lol maybe a third option could be, Counter-Steal, this would make it to where if you see a stealer and you think they may lie to you you could just simply press counter-steal, lock in and you would not get a penalty from it, however you'd still get the reward from split.

This game is actually pretty fun. i just wish there were more players because you will find people who always steal from you. It is pretty cool to see how many people split tho. Overall a really thought out game that is fun to play. I really want to see what this game adds in each update.

this needs a 3rd option to punish a stealer (for example when the other player goes for steal, neither get's the money but you get to keep your money and tier, if the other player goes for split he get's all the money and you are set back)
