i found out somethings 1 to be a beetle u need 3 strenght upgrades 2. ant is 3 speed upgrades 3. roach is 2 strenght and 1 speed upgrades 4. and i think hopper is 2 speed and 1 strenght upgrade

The queen might be the biggest bug but I thing she is still the easiest to beat... the hardest being the bottleneck level 8
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I just went for speed, then strength 2,then i got the roaches.Roaches are fairly balanced, they are slower than ants but have more strength than ants, and their strength is only just a bit lower than a beetles. They focus a bit more on strength than the hoppers though.

when I beat the queen with ants the queen didn't even leave the nest when it was attacked by >700 ants!
I think it won't attack if it would be killed immediately when it would reach me...
Anyway I beat the queen level with the queen perfectly healthy.

Was pretty easy..went all speed and I'd build a few towers to take them out. Send a wave or two and then direct them somewhere else, the AI keeps sending and your towers do all the work then you rush your little army back in. =s

Beetle Queen not impossible. The larva are weak, so work towards claiming nests first, not attacking the Queen. Once you obtain all hives, use them to build units and draw out the Queen. She will head towards the first nest to attack her own nest. Draw her away, then use surrounding nests to take it back from the larva. When she nears her targeted nest, send another wave from an adjacent nest. She will take the nest, but will immediately leave again, going after the new nest and regenerating little health.

Needs polishing, get some programming help for the click issue. Also, the send score box covers the achievement definitions.

Click register problem is my biggest issue with this game. I'll have a nice game going, when all of a sudden, I'm sending troops to the wrong base and losing it because it didn't pick up my clicks. Needs a fix.

dude if you do speed speed strength speed strenght strenght strenght you be a good combo i won easily and do spamming!!(if you know what i mean!!)not post spam

If you choose beatles the only way to win is with towers. I like ants, they provide a challenge while giving you an entire army to use.

Here is a little difficulty chart for your bugs and how to get a certain kind of bug.
Roaches-easy upgrade 1speed/2power
Hoppers-normal upgrade 2speed/1 power
Ants-hard upgrade 3speed/0power
Beatles-very hard upgrade 0speed/3power

as for nanowar.. tweaking an idea is actually a really good aproach to improving your game developement skills.. or you could just ask everybody to stop developing games at all.. because brand new ideas that are fun, playable, doable 1 in a million... let ppl rip good ideas and improove upon them... more fun for us

IMHo if you end up with beetles .. towers are the only thing that can provide victory on the level with the crickets.. (last one i think)
...
still.. needs tech path & some more upgrade options

The last level is intense...what I did was to take the bottleneck and then build a bunch of towers...then I amassed a lot of bugs at the bottleneck and just kept attacking.

Actually, if you're stuck in a stalemate the towers work pretty well even against the fast guys. The reason is because when your units fight the enemy units, neither one can move forward. So, as long as your units are tough enough, your towers will be able to deal damage regardless of whether you're fighting beetles or ants.

*sigh* What is this, the 3rd Nano War rip? It's like pretty much everthing on the internet... Youtube videos, synth music compositions, games... if someone does it right, there'll be 50 other people who make minor tweaks, different theme/graphics, and a new name, and suddenly it's theirs.
2/5. Overly simple, towers did crap, enemy AI was an idiot, just... no. Only redeeming value is that it had somewhat nice graphics.

Seriously, I'm stuck on level 8... every time I capture the spawn thing in the middle of the hourglass all of my towers explode or vanish and the roaches are able to IMMEDIATELY reclaim the spawn thing.

last level is just annoying. Also some enemy spawn areas are stuck at 162 and not growing.... just for helping me or a glich?

Pretty good, there's a few problems though. Clicking on bases seems irresponsive--there were a lot of times I'd try to send my units somewhere, see it didn't work, and re-do it, and end up sending my troops backwards. Instead of just counting down units that are send out, the number of units in a base should drop by the total number that are going to leave, and have a seperate progress bar or something showing you how many units are still moving out. Lastly, losing a base removes all towers around the base, whether or not those towers were built by that base. This was a problem on the last level when it was stalemated in the middle--I managed to capture the middle base for just a moment and lost it again, and because of that I lost all the towers I'd placed to try and secure the middle base in the first place.

While there is much to like about this game and concept, I find the click controls too frustrating to keep playing. I had difficulty reliably selecting spawns, regularly sent bugs the wrong way. More hotkeys would also be welcome -- to repeat a send (hold down shift?), or even paths through multiple spawns, or "all send" to one point.
