This is a very well-crafted game.
Things, that could be improved would be the handling of the platforming and the story.
Also, all weapons are controlled by the mouse, but the slashing direction of swords isn't, which should be fixed imo.
Another thing; while using swords for combat is pretty fun, it's also not very effective since you have to get into melee range, which especially on the stronger enemies is either difficult or dangerous. So, I propose a buff to melee weapons, to maybe give them a less steeply growing upgrade pricing than ranged weapons for instance. :P

I dont know how you made physics in this game, but it is awesome. The game is great, but I had few problems with it. I think it would be better, if attack direction with swords would be determined by mouse, instead of your last movement. I didnt like the transparent inventory menu while ingame and when I have 5 golden rings, which I want to sell, I feel like I am a guest on a clicking festival. 4/5

been a while since i gave a game a 5/5. but i liked it a lot, it's fun, the complexity and difficutly builds up slowly, as does the challenge in puzzles and jumps. Very well made, thanks for the great entertainment.

Two secret items:
Legendary Sword Masamune --Dimension 14 Hard:
Go to far right of the second screen and climb the wall, need 3000 gold, talk to the npc.
Legendary Boots Winged Shoes -- Dimension 15 Hard: Again, far right BEFORE boss screen. Treasure chest.

Equipment I used to beat all hardcore and get every item/triangles: Elf Sword + Thorn Staff (alt option: Crimson Staff) + 2xBook of Battle + 1 Full Iron Armor + Wizard Slippers (alt: Running Shoes). Thorn's bouncy projectiles are fun on gravity levels, has the highest mana efficiency, and is useful on most situations, switch to Crimson if you have difficulties to aim. Crimson Staff is more mana efficient than Wooden Staff (base damage is low even with tons of upgrades) and Amethyst Staff (upgrade and mana cost is too high). I preferred Elf Sword's bonus to Magic Attack and low upgrade costs instead of Amethyst Sword high upgrade costs and Special Attack.

Awesome Game! Add deeper storyline and make the levels longer and it will be one of the best games here! So far 7/5 ;)

It bothers me to see how this game is getting ignored, while it is actually one of the better games out there, kinda makes me wonder if there are more great underdog games out there...

Ah look secrets. Hint #1 Hardmode is required #2 there are 4 two npc's and 2 chests. in total 3 "secret" items. Hint#3 you need one of the secret items to get the other two. Also some enemys drop better items on hardmode but i am not counting them as secret items.

Some problems. my boots are +5 now i run so fast i bounce off the walls leading me to damage or death i can also speed across gaps that are supposed to be puzzles. Upgrades get way too expensive even if you begin grinding for weapons to sell . otherwise fun game i wish there was more story but the gameplay makes up for that good game.

Major bug occasionally I find my character runs left uncontrollably and have to reload game to fix, also double jump quits working just before this happens. 2/5 until fixed.

The ending was sort of disappointing. I was expecting a plot twist, or have him see his own dimension destroyed, or so. I even played the level again and tried going back through the door after defeating the other cloaked figure. Anyways, it was a very good game. Perfect mix between puzzle, plataformer and shooter/action. Good job on making it, it deserves more stars.

pretty well done overall. Reminds me of games like castlevania. beat up some badies, scroll through some levels, find some gear and solve some puzzles. Simple yet very nice. mash that magic item button, pewpewpew.

MichaelChandra, that is one of the bugs that Runouw intends to fix. I've had a problem with that before too, but you won't have to put up with it for long.

The fact that you can get through a whole level, collect everything, and then mis-click right at the end and lose everything is a problem.

Interesting. Might be due to the way I very actively restrict javascripts and cookies, but while my savegame saved just fine, the controls were back to their original settings and I had to change Jump to W again.

there are some major bugs in the keys- i often find myself spawning and getting shot in the direction of the button i was holding when i entered the checkpoint, like it thinks the key is still pressed down.

I really don't get claiming WASD as controls, then not having W in use as secondary jump-key. It's a bit of a pain to learn.

Brilliant game! A Bunch of weapon options, cool level puzzles and secrets, engine with nice graphics and features (gravity, slippery floor, walking at the walls in stage 7). 10/5 I haven't enjoyed a game so much in a while

As a member of the site where this game came from, I can assure you it's undergoing updates to improve it. Runouw said himself he's working hard to do this.

Just finished the story mode, here's a few tips: 1. the basic wooden staff has one of the most useful spells, straight-flying projectiles are always nice, and they're spammable. Save another staff that's influenced by gravity in case you want to do trickshots in grav levels. 2. Specialized loadouts did better than trying to be a generalist, and since you can have all the other stuff in inventory and switch whenever you want, it's good to have variety. (Elf Sword, Amethyst Staff, 3x Book of Wind/Battle and Wizard Slippers made for a nice, very agile spellslinger build, for example) 3. Word of warning about high speed builds:, it allows for very fast movement and insanely long jumps, but makes control very unprecise. You'll also bounce off of walls when moving at high speed, which can screw jump/ledge puzzles.

Looks like this would be a good game, but your controls are set up for right handed people. If you give the option of assigning controls us lefties could play

The description of the Amethyst Blade reads: "launches particle waves with every slash". It actually only launches one when using the basic slash attack, i.e. the first hit of a combo. I'd like to see it do what the description says.

Fully rebindable keys, music and sound seperately adjustable, in-depth quality settings. You've done everything right on that part, which is surprisingly rare. Thanks for that. The game itself is also pretty enjoyable so far.
