Really would prefer it if the platforming was a little more precise. Took several tries to get even through that first room with the platforms above the ground. Not to mention the 'if you just too high you hit your head on the spikes' room. Would definitely prefer tighter controls and better movement.

A little too difficult for my liking. I'm having a lot of trouble jumping past the spikes. Note, my skill at these plat former games tend to be below average.

Short and sweet. Not as difficult as i was expecting when i saw a "challenging" tag, but that's likely due to the fast respawns. They really make deaths feel like no big deal. Thanks for those.
(for reference in regards to difficulty, I took 12:35 and had 61 deaths. I don't know if that's a lot, but it might feel like it to people who don't play harder games. In which case, I guess it might just need that "challenging" tag.)
You played it at the right moment, previous patch the game had a timer of 1.5 seconds before respawning x) I've also dumbed down lot of levels since the release on Kong, because apparently it was way too hard for everyone. It still is for most people, but experienced platformer players find it easy. I'm having hard times at balancing...

most difficult game i have played on here...but that is probably because i have a set of rudder pedals attached to my computer and i had to control left/right by judicious application of left toe brake... maybe a way to disable joystick input?

As a (now very) casual gamer, I like those kinds of challenges where I tell myself several times "Oh, jeez, I just give up" and then come back and I can continue after trying (and dying more than 300 times).
In my eyes that's the sign of a well balanced game, so here are my 5 stars :-)
I don't know, could it be an hardware problem? maybe the A or left arrow keys are stuck? I can't reproduce it, game works fine on my controller/keyboard :(
Or it can be some browser bug, you might try to change it. Thanks for reporting but I can't really help you...

I have a problem playing the game.(I am playing on a controller) Whenever I start the game and get into a level, I always go to the left. Nothing I can do can make me go right, except pressing left trigger. I tried reloading and closing and opening the tab back. Nothing fixes it. I really want to play it again so can you please fix it.

Great game, too bad I came short 15 coins. I had a crap load of deaths and it took me an hour, but at least I got to the end... (the bad end) Well, I didn't want that moldy pizza anyway!
NOOOOO I'm so sorry for you bro! moldy pizza + denied pizza is the worst ending possible :'( if I was the pizza guy I would have at least left you the pizza as a gift for the effort!

Very Fun Game
Completed in 34 minutes and 31 seconds with 259 deaths
Could have completed it faster and with less deaths if I skipped the coins at the last level.
Gave the pizza delivery guy a $1 tip, hope to get the chance to enjoy more pizza.

Overall a good solid platform game, but I disliked the level with the slimes, it was pure random if you were going to get killed by the spikes if you were riding a slime. Sometimes the slimes jump too early and let you get killed on the spikes, sometimes they jump too late. For a tight platformer this game is, this random element made the level less fun to play. The rest of the levels were great and fun to play

Took me half an hour and 52 deaths. Great challenging game. At this point, the Overlord should just leave the damn castle with the pizza guy and take over the pizza shop.

Hm... When I was playing, I somehow made everything get retextured into Gameboy graphics. I wasn't able to undo it that session, and I've been unable to replicate it since
Thanks! glad you enjoyed :) there's no need to try and take *every* the single coin. You just need them to be over the threshold for the pizza, money don't even count for the end screen or statistics because they all go to that ungrateful pizza guy.

Grat game! Don't pay attention to the rating, probably 90% of the users that rated this are only 9 year old kids, don't bother about that :D (sorry, I don't speak English very vell)
The rating is good! I worked hard to earn it and regardless of the number of stars I'm proud of what I've achieved, as long as there are people like you that enjoyed the game :)

It only took me 63 deaths to make it first time. I figured out that if I didn't collect enough money I wouldn't be able to pay for the pizza, luckly I got 8.75 so I could even give a tip to the peasant.

Love this game! Little retro platformer with challenge of speedrun even for casual gamers because the controls are very easy and the game is short (i'm in top 10 now :D) and funny story with that !
P.S: I don't know why but I can add monsters with keys 1 at 5 x). 5/5
Wow congratulations on top ten! not that easy, I've been playing my game so many times and yet I've only got to spot #9. Spawning monsters is a feature I used for testing (initially this game had to be more of an action game but I've changed my mind, and I've only kept the slimes). I'll probably remove them entirely one patch or another, for now they are here just as an easter egg :)

After my computer turned to the slow mode of the game(it's a bad computer lol), I couldn't jump! Pressing 'r' gave the little blood animation that is almost definitely for restarting, but didn't actually restart the level. Hey, at least this time the text boxes worked!
What?? that is really weird and I can't see how the slow mode is related to the controls... I'll investigate thanks for discovering yet another bug! :( EDIT: I have a really bad computer to test the slow mode and I can't seem to reproduce the bug you described, I may need for some more detailed reports before being able to fix it

Super game with a challenging difficulty, great pixel art, lovely audio and awesome characters! All of that by only one man, great work! 5/5 for sure and keep it up!

Adding a stat for least deaths would be cool as well (We rarely see badges for getting under X deaths or 0 deaths)! I like the game, and hope it can get badges :) Always appreciate a nice platformer, and I'm especially fond of ones with dash mechanics. I really hope to see more of these from you!
Thanks a lot! Will probably make a sequel or a similar title, since I've built an engine just for this game. I'm aiming to update and improve it as much as I can before reusing it :)
Since it is possible but very hard to end with 0 deaths I'm not sure if I want it as an achievement... some players would get really, really mad :X

I don't mind being mocked by the game but having it slow down my respawn time *just* to hear the laugh is super annoying. Keep the taunt but make respawning instant.

318 seconds and pizza guy still complains about waiting, smh.
Also if you dash in the third level, your ghost... assistant(?) won't kill you with her dialogue, since she does not kill your dash momentum.

I'm glad this made its way into hot new, even tho I was worried the big kongregate audience wouldn't appreciate it. Indeed lot of people do not like it but I'm happy it was a good experience for some :)
