Germany seems to have ultra strong knights. i struggled for quite a while trying to beat them, i did but still it took me longer because every time i took a new place there was another 15 of their knights spawned right next to the place i just conquered and they wiped my men out because my pikemen kept getting owned, and longbows were not very effective.

this is a fricking glitch game because i was in a battle where i could not send any troops out even though i had 20 of every unit and my morale was at the maximum

There should be option without countdown when I eleminate all oponents. Why I should wait to victory until I am superior of the Europe :) ?

there's a bug - buying DRUZHINA unit in Hungary i closed recruting window, next turn i opened recruting window in FRISIA and DRUZHINA unit was opened and i could buy it limited only with my money)) druzhina rules, but for more realistik it should costs not X2 more of ussual unit, but X2 less)))

Autoloss is pretty erratic, but doesn't always result in terrible failure for you. But if you do try to avoid using it, then the inability to control speed becomes a bit frustrating. I'd really like a "speed up" button for fights once you really get into it. Also, I keep having issues with the SFX dropping out.
Some of the balance points in the upgrades are a bit odd also. Since a lot of my strategy tends to involve staggering archers so that militia + crossbow + archer + elite archer can all fire simultaneously, the "required" crossbowman upgrade that puts his range at the same range of the normal archer actually ends up being somewhat damaging to a lot of builds rather than beneficial.
All in all though this game is fantastic and I'd really like to see some more tweaking/additional maps/bug fixes/achievements, or maybe even a sequel. I think beating the game on insane starting with France definitely would deserve a "Hard" achievement!

The map is a little bit wrong. There was no Croatian kingdom in that region, nor Hungary expanded that far (all the way to the Adriatic sea).
I would LOVE to see true (historical map) of the WHOLE Europe, not just western part.

If there is no retreat bug(retreat make you lose no turn and none of your rest army) and you add mre map may be 2->3 i think the game will be high rated.4/5 now and 5/5 when you finish the retreat bug.

Perfect startegy for all research incomes first then go for the special unit Eg. paladin, knight , tectonic knight and only use manual battle you can't lose :D

Would be nice if i could conquer all of europe, instead of being forced to stop at 70%. Also the 'moving' command wasnty really easy for me. Pressed 'Done' many times while i forgot to press 'Move'.. still a 4/5. Love these kind of games, just need to be pollished.

its actually really easy to have total domination over all provinces. play as the Germans (iv tried it all with each country but it easiest as them) make just full armies of about 40 guys, wait until you have all techs researched, then attack like crazy flying monkeys. and by that i mean attack with each army every turn or at the bare minimum move them up to the newest front lines.

Great game!
but I did find a glitch, it makes you possible to recruit the mercenary units in any province you want:
just select a province with a mercenary unit, select the special unit in the recruitment window
now you just have to close the window and go to any other province, once you open the recruitment window the special unit should still be selected thus trainable
Up this, so the dev can fix it
(or don't, if you wanna complete your game exploiting this glitch ;) )

The hero of the game is so random.If you can recuit a lv6 hero at the start,you can finish the game easily.And the German is too strong,they have a great land and biger land to conquer without fighting with the other.

Yeap. I conquered the entire map and yet had to wait for the VP countdown to end. Seriously? Who is counting when I've killed everyone. The secret gnome people of the underworld?

Very good game.
In my opinion, I think that it needs a second part and more units, I dont know maybe catapults? Or When defending a castle or a fortress?
With that you can make a lot of research threes and many other things
But for me deserves a 5/5 for strategy.
But please study a little more history yeah?

It's very simple: Research only money gains, and buy only basic foot soldiers. Since auto battle doesn't appear to care what types of units you use, the cheapest soldier is just as useful in auto battle as the most expensive. Only buy varied units if you plan on manual battling.

thoroughly enjoyable. scratches my strategy itch. I agree about the lanes-of-combat format starting to wear thin -- it wasn't horrible, but felt a little jarring pace-wise, from slow considered decisions to rapid-reflex key mashing. I would love to see something a little different for combat in future (I hope!) sequels.
