Amazing Breath taking and remarkably like Medieval!!! Great Grahpics and so forth awesome units and such but what i really want to get it is that with the battle-field-row-system isnt bad i ask your self not how can we change it? but why mess with a good forumulum?

Quite a deep strategy game and really challenging on hard and insane difficulty. Reminds me a little of Europa Universalis. I would give it a 5/5, but there are two issues that really annoyed me:
1. There is a serious bug that sometimes causes you to loose all research if you load a saved game.
2. WTF won't units in the same lane not overtake the ones in front of them? I would like to be able to send close combat units as reinforcements for my archers once the unit in front of them gets killed or leaves the screen. It is just ridiculous that my knight patiently waits behind my two archers and watches them beeing killed.
Still a great game, though. 4/5.

After the VP-Countdown is over, just auto-battle a countrie, this makes you able to continue the game, but beware! After every Manual-Battle and Turn the ''Return to Titel'' thing comes again, just repeat the procces and you conquer western europe for real!!! (Not Real-real)

Strongest Countries: (Lower number= better special unit)
1st. Germany 2nd. France 3rd. Spain 4th. England 5th.Moors.
Countries with best chances to win:
1st. Germany 2nd.(Instantly kill the moors and protect your countries wich are in the battle front) Spain 2nd.(Yes second too!) France (Protect the Frontlines, instantly kill england, then slowly conquer Germany)
3rd. Moors (Fight your way to Germany) 4th. England (Kill France then continue conquering Germany slowly) + To keep alive if you found this helpful!

Theres some bug with the save option. I saved a game where I had researched alot of things and when I load the game it had nothing researched at all.
But still a good game. Reminds me of Medieval total war.

You can win as French on Insane with rush tactics: max out generals, combine armies and push immediately into Germany; clear germany, contain the english, then push down into the Moors and Spanish. On insane, I pretty much research nothing other than regular archers. Just pour everything into generals, keep the generals on the front line, trying to always have at least 2 out at a time. (Cautious Advance is a bad general ability, try to avoid ones with it.) You can usually win within 19-21 turns on insane.

There are games like this, only bigger and better. Could really use some rebalancing. Most glaring problem was the crossbowmen vs long bowmen. If a crossbowmen misses, their arrows travel even farther then the longbowmen, giving them an extra hit in. Also, longbowmen start shooting before their arrows can actually hit something, so with the right/wrong timing they miss a lot of their shots.

I found an awesome glitch, if you buy mercenaries in one country, then move to another country, and buy the mercenaries there without selecting them, you can buy unlimited amounts of the mercenaries from the other country!

Longbow Archer rules the battlefield. All you need is an army of them and the game is over. My tactic: build economy line to boost income throught campaign while I hold borders and as soon as highest income % boost is attained get longbow ASAP (must be England though of course) Longbow Archer in a line is like putting a long distance machine gun in a medieval war. They have Armor Penetration for anytihng heavy too. Only bane is Berber archer that can dodge pretty well.

I noticed one time I tried to load my game and all the research I had done had dissapeared. I was forced to buy it all over again.
