Although this game is old, and I've been playing it for a few years including when I was younger, I will forever love this game.

This game is still awesome, although the most annoying thing is that you cannot sort Survivors list in opposite direction and you need to waste a lot of time to scroll and cherry pick people with lowest skills (so you can level up them).

A bit too much RNG.
Buildings you lose could at least correlate to where the biggest threat is (usually the hoard) so the player has the option to cut losses when it's tactical to do so.

I really would like to play games like this, I do not know what is making this game great but there are only few games (such as SAS:zombie assault 4, Stick war, and Epic war series) which are immersive as much as game.

RECCOMENDATION TIME! I'd really like it if there was a endless mode of some sort which went on forever, all you need is a randomly generated template atleast with its size Xed by 10 which would be cool, plz do.

James: If you think that this game on Impossible mode is too easy and you'd prefer it to be harder, you should try my preference, the original Rebuild on Nightmare mode as it is much harder. Good luck!

I had one character come with me through three separate games, only to join the stupid chosen ones church and then commit suicide when they got told to stop. Amazing game and amazing sequel.

Youngmakar: I avoid the Church of the Chosen Ones ending (embracing zombieism) by not allowing them to write the book about the zombies in the first place. Many people do allow them to do that (for some needed happiness), but they do say NO to letting them set up the Church.

The following information Sionyx provided me (but I have never tested the results). I was told that even if you do allow them to to do such, that there ARE precautions to hopefully keep your fort from committing mass suicide (but it isn't a guarantee). They are: don't give food for the Day of the Dead; and don't add the Big Graveyard to the fort. Also mentioned is that there is an event where some of your survivors will come to the leader and ask to ban the Church because they're worshiping zombies. If you say yes you will lose the leader of the Church and two other random survivors but the fort will be saved from this ending. If you say no, some of your survivors will leave in disgust and you are well on your way to accomplishing that ending.
Elsewhere, I read that when you get a third church that the process is also irreversible. So try to either not get a third church or convert your churches into something else first (such as apartments).

Grod4: This game is absolutely possible to beat on Impossible mode (once you get a decent strategy). Impossible is the only mode I play on Rebuild 2 anymore (and I do win). It is the original Rebuild's Nightmare mode which is harder and will likely take longer to master. Good luck!

@ youngmaker - they can be avoided if you don t reclaim the big graveyard and deny the spreading of the books from this zombie-loving writer among your survivors. your last chance to eliminate them is according to a revolt at the event "dissent against the church"

What's everyone's highest day they survived in impossible difficulty? I got very lucky in getting strong weapons, but was unlucky enough to get a hospital quick to stop diseases from spreading.

You have to quickly obtain at least 1 hospital and go fast for antivenom research to avoid deaths like those, Sylversoul
