Would be nice if you could hide some notifications of upgrades; like the Twin upgrade since it gets obsolete after a while
You can hide these by clicking on the big upgrade arrows ... lots of people are missing that though so will try to work out a way to make them more obvious!

sad to say, that this is just a worse game with some shiny bright colours to disguise the horrendous buy customization, how can you destroy sth that has been done to perfection in the template you base this game off of? thats some rly lazy shit right there. sorry 1/5 stars

This game already exists, the only thing different is voxel graphics and cheesy western music that gets repetitive after the first 5 loops (about 3 minutes in).

maybe im missing something but the double bonus for gold bugs doesnt seem to be working, is it supposed to only apply once per day or each time you collect a gold bug?

It would be nice if I could ignore upgrade notifications for twins. At higher levels it's useless and sometimes i'll miss speed upgrades because i think it's just twins.

Well, I've played it for about 6 hours. I think its a good game. Let us know when the game data won't be lost whenever the browser tab is closed and I'll try out farther and see how the Ascension feature works and confirm that the offline resource gaining works. Unless the game isn't currently supposed to lose all save data on close. Because if it isn't then that is a huge bug in the program right now.

A few more things: 1) Clicking the swarm lord thingies doesn't register like half of the time, which is made even worse if you activate the swarm lord ability to get even more of them... _ _ 2) The original game had an option to disable upgrade notifcations (useful to turn of useless twins upgrades on lower tier food producers) I can't seem to find that in this game.

Man this swarm lord challenge is really tedious, on top of that: Why do they remove energy? As is with swarm lord challenge active I have effectively 0 energy generation....

So, after ascending the first time, what exactly are you supposed to do to be able to ascend again? Because nothing in that area is building up and nothing is clickable, so how am I supposed to get more "rocket fuel," so I can ascend again?

a few tips:invest everything in energy to get that first ascension. Use crystals to get from nexus 3-4, DONT waste it going for 5. Nexus 5 is no help for the first few ascensions unless you really want to draw it out. Concurrently put all your spare crystals into conduit elixir(5-pack) and try to always keep it doubled. Lastly you can swarmwarp to immediately fill energy after using a conduit. Just make sure your max is high enough not to waste it. NRG is the main wall.

Thank you for restoring the ads, unfortunately, some of them are not allowing completion when the ad ends. It just sits there on a blank, black screen forever. And I wait and wait and wait just to be sure, but nope, the top of the bar never turns blue and says I can claim my reward. Please look into and fix this!
Hi there, the ads stuff is out of the developers control, sadly. If you could email kongregate directly letting them know what specific ads are causing issues that would be helpful for them!

I love intuitive ui design. Clicking the notification icon on the twins button prevents them from cluttering up the upgrade available indicators. Wish I figured this out sooner, I have been buying pointless twinning upgrades to keep them off the notification bar. This is much better.

@Chrisir: Thank you for that info. That explains a lot. It would be nice if these things were better explained in the game, or if there was a "Are you sure you want to use this?" kind of thing implemented.

Upon reloading, I was set up with the tutorial. After several minutes, I was finally offered the option to reload from the cloud (which I normally get immediately), but I lost at least a couple days of progress. That's probably going to do it for me, but you might want to look into the integrity of your save feature.

OK, something is wrong with the Conduit Elixir. I had one and used it accidentally just now, and according to the description, I'm SUPPOSED to have TWO HOURS of use from it, but it's telling me I only have LESS than fifteen MINUTES left!!! Please fix this issue!!!

Personally I am not a fan of the Swarm Lord feature. Clicking for couple of god bugs per day is ok, but having to constantly click on invaders is making this way too much of a chore for me. At least reduce the number of invaders.
Hi there, Swarm Lords were really added for those that wanted *something else* to do along with checking-in on their swarm a few times a day ... I do think as a feature it could probably be improved though!
I *think* it's possible to ascend in a couple of days of fairly active play ... the reason there's a requirement (rocket fuel) is the same as in the original version (where you had to spend energy on Abilities to lower the ascension cost) - it ensures that by the time someone does ascend they have a meaningfully useful amount of Mutagen to spend. TBH I'm not 100% sure this is really needed and have, over time, been making the Ascensions easier and easier to trigger.

I played the previous game quite the bit and liked it alot. With the adition of graphics and achivements to enhance the gameplay i makes it even better.
I just unlcoked the locust, and i would like to see it actually standing on the groud as it doesn't have any wings. And as we get ridiculous amounts of earlier creatures it might be cool to get a sense of the amount you have by the graphics showing more of that type of creature in the backgroud.
Hi, thanks for the feedback ... it's 1 Fuel per 1000 Energy spent so it ends up being a lot less than 250 ability uses ... that said I guess it could be a little lower, will change that in the next update!

I was a big fan of the original swarm sim, this however is just a new UI and a progress reset. Something you could have just applied to the original. Additionally the layout is significantly more confusing now because you cannot see all your insects at the same time as you were previously. Ultimately it's still the exact same game but less user friendly. This is why people are complaining. It does look pretty tho
There are also several new (large) features ... they do take some hours/days to get to though so it's easy to understand why you'd think it was nothing more than pretty new graphics!

I don't mind having to watch A video to gain a boost for something, but to make me sit through TWO of them and the same one repeated to boot? No, just no. Please fix the issue. No other game which offers ads to gain additional content forces me to sit through TWO ads for the price of ONE boost!
Um, you really shouldn't need to do this ... the ad system is out of my hands as it's built/run by Kongregate themselves. Just wait for the timer to be up on the first ad then a new button appears to exit it and get the reward.IF that's not working let me know and I'll talk to Kong!

I dont know why so many people are complaining about this game, the graphics are pretty cool and it runs really good too. And they also added many new features so its not exactly like the original. I think they took the original, and improved it. There's nothing wrong with that.
Eh, it's fine ... the original was (and is) really good - if some people prefer that then that's cool, lots of reasons to like this version as well though, great to hear you're enjoying it!

Hi there, to create all the 'meat' units you consume meat, larvae and the unit one lower down the chain. So, to make 1 Greater Queen you need millions of meat, a larvae and 10k Nests ... usually you'll get limited by the earlier units so ... just keep making more of those!
Hey, great to hear you like the gfx ... I think they turned out well also, especially the later units! Old game saves aren't compatible for a bunch of reasons ... and given the new features / content / game launch we decided to have a fresh start.

Would appreciate a "buy next" option in the quantity menu. Especially since the scarab bonus isn't accounted for on the buy amount and it gets a little tedious with all the visuals. Don't get me wrong, I love them, but they change how you play compared to the originial. Less overall info and more scrolling through menus. I.E. use the nice large visual buttons to have 2 upgrade arrows, 1 for twins, 1 for speed/power.

Is there an actual game or is it just tutorial? Get resources, spend resources on more units to get more resources, upgrade units to better units to get more units to get more resources. This is every game ever made this way. Nobody needs 10 minutes of tutorial for that. I'm not going to suddenly have more fun because I've been forcefully introduced to every minor feature of the game. Rant over... constructive criticism time... It would be nice to have the ability to opt out of the tutorial.
