I've jst realised that in tha version the energy income is half of what it was in the original... Even in the original the first rebirths were pretty long because of the spell cast to reduce the rebirth cost, but now it's just ridiculous
There are a bunch of things in this version that buffed progress vs. the original (Elixirs, Gold Bugs, Shards) ... the base Energy/s change was to offset some of that!

Unfortunatelly all progress is lost. After being forced again through tutorial. I tried to import save. Then it told me that I have cloud save. Fine. But my cloud save is couple days old :( Finished with this game. It was interesting to see this remake, I'm missing lot of features from original. And 3D background does not bring anything innovative to game. Anyway thanks for the game. Nice job.

I was all for giving this version a shot with the new mechanics in the Elixirs, Golden Beetles, and what looks to be challenges later on. Despite the ton of quality of life features that were removed, I figured it was worth a shot and the gameplay wasn't too far off, and maybe even improved in some regards. However, regardless of how innocent it began, the new ascension system has got to be the biggest joke in the world. The game has slowed to a standstill for me and yet I just have to cast spells for the next few days to accomplish absolutely nothing before I even have a chance to get my first ascension. Hard pass.

prefered the version where you could access everything in same windows. i feel like those graphic are useless to the experience. But it will look better for kids for sure

I have lost my save after rebooting my PC today. Didn't clean cache or anything. It also hadnt updated in cloud so I have to start back form scratch. I wasnt that far so it isn't bad but could you look into this ?
Looking into this ... it sounds like some players have 'disable cookies' or something similar toggled on which can block the game saving locally. Playing in 'incognito mode' will also do this. If you're logged into Kongregate then the game should be saving to the cloud as a backup unless you're somehow blocking playfab.com (the service that's actually doing the cloud saves).

Basically, just see if you could implement all the QoL (advanced) settings that were in the original game. It's way better to have those tools to make up a strategy.
edit - yet more of the QoL functionality ported over in v1.5.1 - now you can set 2x costs for the upgrade option or 'buy all upgrades' for meat units. Enjoy!

One thing that was good in the original was the possibility to "toggle" the notifications for upgrades. For example, getting the "Faster" upgrades when you have twice as many units than the upgrade, or just toggling off the Twins notifications when they're obsolete.

Rate of production of meat = drone production rate * (current drone count + queen production rate * (current queen count + nest production rate * (...)));
Just have this calculation run once whenever the player upgrades, then store the expected time for the meat to reach its desired value, having the timer count down based on that.

The cloud save feature seems to be inconsistent. I thought my save from yesterday was gone, and then like 5 minutes later the game suddenly realized there was a cloud save

Having a cap in some of the mutagen bonuses, it shouldnt allow you to spend more mutagen than needed on those. It feels like a waste, or at least we should know how much mutagen caps those bonuses

Don't get me wrong. I'm all about you guys making your moneys. But unless something is done to remedy that ridiculous time gate, This is pretty much where I quit playing.

So wait....in order to ascend, I need to use 200 abilities? 200?! Jesus H Christ! So, without wasting crystals on increasing the energy cap, the highest nexus you can get is level 4, which equals out to 0.20 energy/s. With Lepidopterae, you can double that to 0.40/s. That means it takes 3,000 seconds, or 50 minutes, to gather enough energy to use the cheapest ability. 50 minutes * 200 uses = 10,000 minutes, or 166.6 hours of pure, unadulterated time gating before I reach my first ascension, even though it only took me a day to get to this point.
That seems...like pretty weak sauce. Even more so considering the only way to alleviate this time gate is to dump HUNDREDS of crystals into either Energy Cap expansion, so you can build more nexi, or in just thawing them for the energy to use. 2.2 Crystals * 200 iterations is 440 crystals which is roughly 150 kreds.
And I assume I'm gonna have to do this every time I ascend?
Hey, thanks for the comments ... You can get the 5th Nexus by buying Nightbugs - no need to spend Crystals if you don't want to! It does take a little while to get enough Rocket Fuel to Ascend but in practice (because of Elixirs / Gold Bug Rewards) it's usually a lot a lot less time than it looks at first!

It seems that the game takes a long time to notice and load a cloud save, during which it proceeds to assume you have just started. This may be the case for others who say they lost their saves?

edit: you have a bug somewhere in your code. Once I started clicking the initial tutorial the game informed me about a save game...
i've been refreshing the game and once it asks/loads the save game at once, other it just waiting up to a minute or so. FF 62.0 64bit

Another bug: During the tutorial, when prompted to check swarmlings, I wasn't able to click the swarmlings button and thus was softlocked and couldn't do anything.

Bug: At the beginning of the game when asked to accept the privacy policy, if you click the button to read it, it takes you to the proper page, but it doesn't seem like there's any way to actually exit it. Either it's too hidden or there isn't one.

I was offline for a day and when back I bought a lot of a new territory unit and there were like 4/5 in between that didn't make a difference in production... Types of territory units could almost be cut in half

~111 hours to get enough energy for anscesion.. i hope it will be worth, cause its looks like itstoo much for first ascension so far. Especially, that you get required amount of expansions and hatchery pretty fast.

I feel like the Achievements menu could be better optimized.
A scrollbar on the side so you don't have to manually do it for minutes to reach the bottom or top would be a good start. Maybe separate them into their own separate pages for the different types of them?
Yup, they are ... Easy to make an argument either way on this one, the reason they've been left as-is is because it's kinda fun to see the crazy time scales shrink to seconds as you watch.

why is there no local save? Also, someone else posted that local save isn't working, and they were modded down. Save is an important issue!
Hi there, there is a local save but it seems it's not working for a few people ... so far all I've been able to work out is that it might be related to using Firefox on Win 10 with certain security settings in place - if anyone having issues with local save could contact me (contact@scarybee.com) with details about their setup that would be helpful!

click on the tutorial pop up to spam click through them. you dont need nexus 5 for ascension or to unlock mutagen. spend the crystal it takes to go from nexus 3-4 you will regain those crystal in no time at all.

I hade 9 gold bugs. Clicked on one. Clicked on add to get dubbel. Now I have 8 gold bugs. I think I found a "bug" in the bug game.

building nexus 5 requires 36k nrj. produces 0.25/sc. and please dont talk about lepido their boost/cost ratio is shit. worst thing ever. i just dont want to try mutagen my life is too short

The rocket-fuel requirements are pure shit designed to force players to spend crystals. 200000 energy = 200 rocket fuel, to use mutagen. That's 10+ days.
Hi there ... some things in the game *are* easier if you spend Crystals to speed them up, exactly the same as the original version. The reason for changing the Ascension mechanic to use Rocket Fuel instead of just spending Energy was to make it easier to understand progress towards it. The way the math works out it's actually a lot faster in the newer version, even more so if you double offline earnings by watching a video ad, collect Fuel from Gold Bugs, etc.

the carapace shards show up on the individual unit that gets one, the other units will show 0 until they get one of their own, or many of their own.

This is my favorite game out of all of these. I Givs the develepers my thansk. The one thing I would like to change is that we can get through the game faster, because I am stuck at the energy part and I have no idea what is going on anymore. Can U fix that plz?
Glad you like it :) There's a ton of extra information in the in-game Swarmpedia to help out or you can always try asking more specific questions in chat ... long term though the game does expect you to take breaks, come back when your Energy has refilled etc.
