Description
Do you have what it takes to solve these word shifts? If so, listen closely. Almost every word that has 5 or fewer letters is only a letter different from many other words. So, by changing one letter at a time, adding a letter, or subtracting a letter, you will move from word to word to reach a given target word each time.
You’ll be surprised at your own cleverness and maybe even learn a new word!
Speaking of finding new words… please let me know if I’m missing a word in the dictionary or if I’m using a word that isn’t real (be sure to check it online first). Thank you so much for playing; enjoy!
How to Play
Arrow keys / mouse select a letter-box. Type to change letters (or add a letter if the + symbol is selected).

I love this game! Unfortunately, I've encountered the same problem as rekniht that it does not save my progress. I'm on the same computer and browser as I did last time, but no saved progress was there. I'm using chrome, is that the problem?
Thank you! And I'm sorry it doesn't save for you. Maybe it is a security thing, since the game is hosted on my server instead of Kong's. I see it didn't record your highscore either.. Maybe I can repackage it in a way that can be uploaded to Kong. I'll add a news post when I do that.

I give up: what word is one letter removed from "sign"?
"sigh", then from there you can use the archaic (not Star Wars) "sith" to site, etc. You're not restricted from going back to an old word, either. But yeah, I feel you on that one! There is a whole dark side of words on the other side of sith that are difficult to escape...

There should be a way to save your progress.
Hey Rekniht, it should be auto-saving every time you complete a puzzle. It is only a local save though, so you'll need to use the same browser on the same device to keep your progress. If it's not working that way for you, could you let me know what browser and device you're using so I can try to replicate it?
