Gaaaah! How the heck do I continue? I've tried 'escape' 'leave' 'use escape pod' 'die alone' 'leave on escape pod' 'take my chance' 'I want to take my chances' and many MANY more combinations for the last half hour. Somebody tell me what to use here and to the creator, you should make a larger quantity of basic commands. 'leave' 'escape' and 'use escape pod' should be paramount in this.

Hopefully without getting too spoilery, if anyone's lost, there are letters written on the far right and far left of the screen. Ask about both of them. You can say "What is XXX?" or just "XXX?" It should be easier from there.

It might sort of break the game, but maybe have names of objects appear when we mouse over them. I can't think of the exact word necessary for the game to register on some things, or even tell what some things are.

You stupid idiot it made me cry! I was just trying to see what would happen if I chose the other option...urgh! Did it have to beg? And it didn’t answer when I said, ‘you poor thing.’(After the shelter lie.) 10/5(200%) for story effectiveness. :<

@Bozotic: Given chances of survival, it seems more merciful to let the person unwittingly die. Just my opinion, but it was mercy in my eyes.

you should really add. when he ask you ''do you know where you are'' and you tell im ''space'' or ''space ship'' then he lies to you. you should be able to tell him hes lieing and skip the parts you asking about the esc pod

I told the AI to leave me, it begged me to be its friend and have a game of chess, I said yes and I died. I never knew chess was a deadly game.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I for one don't mind the bleak ending. After finding out the truth, it's poignant to end the game by telling the computer you want to play chess now.

gah, stuck on a ship with a depressive, mentally challenged AI ... and I'm probably naked. And it doesn't have any porn in its databanks (I asked XD what better way to pass your last hours?) asked if I could use th pod to alter the ships course: didn't understand; asked why it thought my chances were 3.7%: didn't understand; told it I had to pee: told me to not make a mess; asked it about the 3 laws of robotics: it admitted to lying; told it to 'Open the pod bay door, Hal!": said "I can't do that, though you probably knew I was going to say that"; asked to play thermonuclear war: it didn't understand (really? an Asimov AND a 2001 reference, but not a Wargames one? shame); wouldn't let me assess its kernal; wouldn't let me try and fix the ship. this AI is bent on murder suicide!

The AI's refusal to leave the ship is kind of dumb. What do you mean it can't be copied? Also, you really ought to jettison the escape pod with food and water and air and stuff if your gonna go die, no need to waste it. Also, a formal suit of the company responsible for manufacturing the floating deathtrap you found yourself in. Seriously. Who equips an interstellar spacecraft with that crappy of an escape pod. 3.2%? Seriously? Also, the inability to remove the AI is pretty much the stupidest engineering decision ever.

Ok, so LDAC was more than happy to lie to me, and obscure the truth so that I'd unwittingly burn to a vapor, but when I finally discover the truth I'm supposed to choose a certain death just so a computer program doesn't "die alone"?
Hmmm.... let me think.

i am impressed, but you should make a good ending and a better graphics
-how about when he finds a air locked door behind the wires and tubes that supports his hibernation chamber then he sees other subjects who got frozen to long from their containment and others died from radiation breach.
i don't know what others will suggest, hope this will help a little bit

I liked it. How about adding another layer to story, such as it's a simulation, like the matrix, or too cliche ? Also, the comments need a spoiler warning haha.

Wow, a great concept and execution, as I can imaging how daunting programming an AI can be (or I guess rather pseudo-AI), but also how interesting it can turn out. This is really a concept you really should develop further into a series (they don't even have to be connected with more than having an AI present). A good and new direction for games to go! Inspiring.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
In fact, if you ask the AI if you could bring him in the escape pod, he says it's impossible. I think this is enough of a hint that the developer doesn't want there to be ending where everything is dandy for everyone.

CursedMark02 - It's a player decision that drives the game. In the end you have to make a choice, and that's what the game is all about. Not an all joyous, live 4ever with your BFF robot friend game. I wouldn't take the game's meaning solely through it's title, and that title doesn't reveal anything anyway.

CheezyMintz - The game title is not "Watch a guy with amnesia and a talking computer crash to a red giant" or "How to waste your remaining time to live playing with a talking computer".... the game title is "A small talk at the back of beyond" so i can't see why rick_02's suggestion cannot be added to this game, his idea's pretty good. btw this game is awesome 5/5!

Apart from a few issues with the AI not recognizing certain obvious statements and some grammatical/spelling mistakes, this was a great game with an intriguing story. I feel like there shouldn't be a way to take the AI with you like rick suggested, as that would render the final decision pointless. 5/5

this game has a really great story line. the fact that this game is still being improved, maybe add some other dialogues and alternate endings where there is a way for them to survive. And maybe AI could somehow be moved to a robot body (like R2-D2, that'll be so awesome) and escape with him. well these are my ideas, it'll be great if these will be added to the game, don't you think?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
interesting game. I sort of wish i could interact with the environment while chatting to the AI though. Possibly create a path that allows the ship to escape? or a sequel with the AI in the pod.
