Found bug: if you enter mail/guard page just as the game is about to give a pop up about a discovery etc(x of x discovered), the message box become unclickable, making it stuck.

Just curious, does PER affect the amount of find as well as the AP cost of it? Specifically, does the 8th point do anything? Is there a difference between exploring with 5 and 7 other than the cost? I guess the same can extend to digging, does the 8th point do anything?

I love this game, very entertaining. I would love to see more games about archaeology. Maybe in a sequel we could see what the university is doing with all the finds sent to them - storage capacity, maintenance and studying of the finds.
I believe the game might become even more interesting if there are things like weather conditions or temporary illnesses that affect productivity (AP) and can be mitigated with other equipment upgrades (umbrellas, hot drinks etc.)
I dislike the lack of depth of the characters - just a bunch of 12 points which should be min-maxed for optimal runthrough.

I don't really under stand this game, it is different then their usual point and click games, I love you script welder but your other games are better. You should make a game like deep sleep that was such an amazing game and I would like a game like that.

I played the game one week ago without problem, but now when i buy any item, the game freezes. I deleted all cookies and all, but i still cannot play.
Anyone has a solution?

Devote 6 hours to guard duty, only a "moderate" chance of intrusion.
Someone got in and stole 60!!! uncategorized finds (leaving 41, of which I'd found 0). How the hel?

I love both the concept and the game play. I hope the dev makes another game like this with some expansion of either theme or game play. Perhaps a campaign mode that follows the career of an archaeologist who puts together teams for different digs. It could be fun to uncover a culture through these digs and have a museum with short descriptions to put the story together for the player too.

Once I figured out how to get a balanced team, I cleared all four ruins in 11 days (the bellfry gave me unnecessary trouble). Curious to see what sort of badges this might get. Uncovering 500 finds would be a pain.

So much potential for this game! Couple of ideas if you were to expand it.
1. Completing level objectives to unlock more levels, more skills,
2. Achievements which give perminant buffs.
3. Information about finds.
4. Character creator (and random character generator for lazy people).
5. Ability to hire more archiologists on later levels.
6. More types rewards for events such free technology for day/level extending time limit etc.

Repeatedly clicking until I finally get the team I want is awfully tedious. Fix that issue and I'd be far more interested.

With an ideal team, it can be completed in under 10 days(granted, if you want the education achievement, you have to wait longer to roll more cash)
How: get 4 max str ones, one with max int, one with max per and finally two with max chri. The int will be your classifier and inspector, per your explorer and chri mostly diggers(also handle publicity ofc), thou all can dig. Str is needed for AP, two chr is for max start fund while having all types. get dig/explore tools to get it down to 2/1 ap, and guard tools, then cutters, the publicity and finally map (play a few times you wont need map much).

Note for the developer: More levels/ruins would be appreciated. It's a great game, but it's too short and doesn't have much replayability value beyond trying to get all of the achievements.

The mechanism to prevent night time intrusions and thefts is not clearly explained. Do you have to go into the Guard menu every day? If so, why? Do the people assigned to stand guard forget their assignments on a daily basis? Why can't you just issue a standing order that gets repeated every night? That was not at all clear. After buying out all the Guard equipment and continuing to get robbed every night, my conclusion is that your tutorial is inadequate in this regard.

A good game, but not endlessly replayable. More random building shapes and depths required. The way the team selection & skill system works, it is too easy to create a team with 3 mules (all STR & PC) to do the terrain work and 1 leader (all IN to do the catalogu

I absolutely love this game, the only thing I didn't like is the fact I can't outward create min-max characters with exactly the skills I need. My favourite band is 2x 5-1-1-5, 5-5-1-1, 1-5-5-1.

The mail menu box doesn't always appear when it says you got a message. If it does, it's not clear where it is. Also if you inspect one dig spot then another you can't catalog the first spot after you catalog the second spot. The relic just disappears. Hope that makes sense. Cool idea for a game : )

Scriptwelder, very awesome game! The only thing that disappoints me is that there is only one "level*". The concept is very well made, and I enjoyed trying to uncover all of the ruins!
*I would prefer if there were many different levels, with many different countries and continents to explore. And I saw your response to Fritz_b that stated this is based on a real life excavation... Well, if it makes your game more popular, what is stopping you from adding so much more? This is definitely a 5 star game if only it had more levels, and possibly more customization.

Pretty fun, yet simplistic, game. I would enjoy seeing a few more of these but longer with different ruins and the ability to allot points for my team.

Basically nothing happens to increase player involvement. Good game. But there is 0 to it story wise. Which is a big faux pas by my book, it costs nothing to put in a story... just rip off some Cthulu Mythos and there you have it. Instant player involvement. This game need more Cthulu/Horror and less annoying loop music.

Let's see...
Let us build characters, start with 3, lower stats. Smaller dig, less plants, one thing to uncover, maximum depth of 3, and not near as many upgrades. Then add progression. Slowly you can go to larger sites, with longer dig times, and greater depth, and more challenges (both PR stuff and an increase in plants or a tougher time limit). Let the crew persist, so you can keep upgrades, so eventually you're working with a crew of 6 or 8 to uncover 10 things, saving up for your 6th dig upgrade.
Then you've got more room for extra stuff. Like a dig upgrade that hits a 2x2 area (costs more than a normal dig, but less than doing each square one at a time). Or side quests where you are asked to look for something someone lost near the dig site. Or rocks that function like plants, and have to be removed, but can show up underground as well. And variables to make maps interesting.
Then, you sell it for $20 on Steam. I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

Экскаватор - достаточно простая игра, и, к сожалению, короткая. Там после первой карты идет возврат в главное меню в начало. Было бы интереснее продолжить на другой карте, большего размера, в других условиях, с большей продолжительностью эуспедиции. Ну да может доработают

really nice concept. for increased game flow put messages in a message stack. i don't want to click on ok all the time.

It would aid replayability if you could carry your team across to new digs, keeping the stats they gained from training...

I clicked the message button at the same time I finished digging a tile and found some ruins. The game is now frozen.
