I feel like your stats should get more of a boost cause getting all four Ruins in 14 days + keeping out people seems impossible.

Dig up 3 of the ruins and some of 1 and the university is not happy? you make 4 very important discoveries, buy a lot of tools for next year, and make thousands yet the university is not happy.

@Paji This is something I realized after my first game. You have to dig further in the ruin to actually dig it up, not just uncover the top layer. It makes sense after you think about it, since just revealing the ceiling of something tells you very little. That's one thing I would suggest the dev to make more obvious.

Pro tip: aim for Strength trait, followed by charisma. My crew build-up that allowed me getting every achievement (except the 500 items one) in one game was:
2 guys with 4-5 stars in strength and charisma (for AP, initial money and events)
1 guy with 4-5 stars in strength and intellect (for AP, searching and cataloguing)
1 guy with 4-5 stars in strength and perception (for AP and exploration)
In a limited time game, Action Points (AP) are everything, hence why your crew members should have 4-5 stars each.

Say what... I dug up all the ruins, and got a fail message, saying I didn't manage to dig up an entire ruin..?? Sad face... Fix, please? Print screened the bug.

Oh Scriptwelder. Thanks so much for sticking around, when most other online game makers have moved on to steam or mobile apps. I mean, don't let it hold you back. But I appreciate it all the same!

3/5, I would give this game a much better score if it wasn't just "One and Done." I was expecting there to be more sites, more things to find, the ability to gain all of the upgrades. By making it a "Great job! Go Back to Menu" type game, it left me feeling very unsatisfied.

I really enjoy this game! After one playthrough, I added it to my favorites and my playlist! I very much enjoy being able to find all the ruins and trying to get them all dug up in the 14 day period. I would like to see some sort of stat sheet to keep track of what I've done, though. I also agree with the ideas put forth by Fritz b. Thanks for an amazing game!

You can get all but one achievement in one run if you just make sure everybody has maximum strength. Have one strength/charisma, two strength/perception (dig and explore), and a strength/int (looking for dig sites and cataloging)

Good game but maybe little too easy. I cleared nearly every ruin in first playtrough even when I realised the system after half point. Making game harder would increase its replay value.

Hint: get all characters with at least 4 strength, a couple with 5 strength. A good build could be: 5str/4chr, 5str/4per, 4str/5per, 5str/4int

This was a brilliant game. I think you get more money after each new game, possibly based on how you did last time? Anyway, I managed to scrape by and completely dig up and explore the Belfry in the very last day. I loved it. I would very much enjoy a sequel, with larger maps, more ruins, and perhaps a storyline involving our graduation and forming our own independent team, and you could then include a trading aspect to it, where we have to consider who is paying how much for our finds, and how much of a corporate sellout we can be before Indiana Jones raids us and says "It belongs in a museum!" 5/5, great game.

Quite easy game, beat it on my 2nd run, unearthed all structures fully. Training is an useless upgrade, other than that, amazing game ^^

I think I found a glitch... as if you press guard button as you are about to discover a site you are stuck in greyed out discovered ruin pop-up...

Very fun game a lot more so then expected played a few rounds before noticing it was midnight a little verity for replay would be nice but all in all it kept my attention and didn't bore me 5/5 very good game

Very cool game! Almost didn't play because the mouse on the title screen (and option menu) is almost completely unresponsive on Chrome on my 10.7.5 Mac. I enjoyed it though. :)

great game, although doesn't have a huge replay value. my suggestion would be to add a larger unlockable map after completing the first "level" and maybe a huge map with unlimited days, but easier to lose credibility. or something like this. all I know is this game has a huge potential. 5 star from me

Like the game but I would like to be able to unlock better archaeologist or even have more stages and keep the upgrades. Just saying.

I really like the idea behind this game! My minor quibble with it is the guarding system - I realize that protecting archaological expeditions is very important, but it seems kind of silly to have the actual archaeologists doing the guarding, at the expense of doing the excavation. Maybe a compromise might be weighing the cost of hiring someone to guard, with the risk that few guards would not be effective, and some guards might themselves be tempted to steal things?

I liked it! Just one small bug: Even with the sound off, the game will very often make sounds when clicking on things, especially when re-rolling a character or opening up a character's action menu.

Would it be possible to make an endless mode to fully clear all the possible digs and just keep refreshing the map? I was having a ton of fun, and was sad when it ended after only 14 days.

Fun game! I enjoyed the process of discovering what the different skills did. I wish I had the option of picking which skills to increase with Training. I really needed someone to get some strength, and no one did. As it was, I almost completed all the ruins, despite it being my first run. And I had fun creating my own narrative -- the super strong lady, getting stuck with all the mowing and digging, while the lazy PR Guy answered emails and led tours (but got punished for slacking with extra guard duty!). I also enjoyed the relaxing music. Hope the real-life digging went as well as my game did!

Ya'll make it complicated. Just get 2 max str/per. 1 max str/int, 1 max str/cha. STR gives you AP. to not have it maxed on all your characters is crazy. after that, it's home sailing. Finished day 9.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It's actually ridiculous amounts of easy to win this game. I cleared all the ruins in 12 days with 1 max str, 1 max int+3 per, 1 max cha + 3 str, and 1 4 str + 3 int. Put the weakest on guard duty every night, then used him to catalouge finds. Used my 2 strongest for digging & bush whacking, used the last one to Explore & Inspect.

This game is lots of fun. It's a shame it's so short. You could easily create a bunch of other games in the same vein, or even just one with a variety of different sites and ruins.
Kind of cool though that it mirrors an actual excavation though.

Step 4, dont listen to Plushtoize11. His strategy is very, very wrong. You want 2 max str/per. 1 per/int and 1 str/char. The first 2 are your workhorses. The third is your "minesweeper" at early game, as well as your catalogue person. Later game, you also use him to investigate a dig site. The 4th person is your email responder/guard. With 4 charisma, and 5 str, you can answer emails, and guard the entire night, without ever needing to buy security equip. I finished the game in 12 days.

My suggestions:
- Team: 1 guy with perfect STR, 1 guy with perfect PER and some INT, 1 with perfect INT and 4 STR and one with perfect CHA.
STR guy: digs and removes plants if needed. This should take up all of his time.
PER guy: explores dug spaces, inspects area when you don't know where to dig.
INT guy: catalogues at the end of the day, digs when he's needed (that's why he needs a lot of STR too)
CHA guy: deals with all emails and is the main night guard.
Always dig and explore the whole site before moving on. Spend unused points to guard in the night (you might need to assign more than 1 person to guard, especially early in the game). By spending points like this, you should be able to complete the game perfectly, I did this on my first try (with some luck).

...I know how you win, it's tough but here's how you win... you maybe won't discover everything (not even sure you could) but you can clear at least 2 digs.
step 1: You need one guy who sits there and does NOTHING.. this is actually very important, his stats need to be Intelligence and charisma (max charisma, min yellow intelligence), then you need everyone else with max strength.. these are your action points per day and are very important. Finally you need 1 perfect perceptive person. I went with 3 max str, 2max per, 2 max charisma, 1 max intelligence.
