it whoud need an simple ai so a player can test it out the first time and hae some sort of tutorial where he have a first look at the game without an instant opponent.
Although, with noch that many humans around, it can be a bit trobbelsome to get a game running

Very intressting concept. I would recommend some effects and interface.
First it would be easier for the player what happens if there where any fighting/shooting effect. Like a beam or something. That beam become brighter the more crytals are sitting in one place, for exapmle. Anykind of interaktion effect would give a better understanding and readability for the player.
A Simple interface wich player owns wich point. This is not nessessary but helps understand what is happening.
Maybe a particle effekt when you move your crystal tiles. I am deaf and there is maybe a sound but I can't here it so additional effects give again more understanding of what happens.
A highlight wich crystal moves next?
I really love the concept and it is a good foundation for adding more complexity.
