I finished it before cause it was in a book it took me 5 mins without looking at any type or solution or additional clue :P

Seriously? What kind of a dumbass do you have to be to post the solution to the comments here? It's THE EINSTEIN'S RIDDLE, ffs, the most famous riddle in the history, you can get the f*cking solution on google in like 5 seconds if you want to, and most people have done this riddle a few times before, anyway, so they pretty much remember what's where, but the fact that you can't look at the comments if you don't want to spoil the game for yourself is seriously pissing me off.

I got a book called einstein's riddle for xmas and it has this riddle in it! Einstein came up with it when he was a child and predicted only 2% of the population could figure it out. This one has been modified from the original riddle so is probably a lot easier!

@Dook Net
True, I bet at least 50% could figure it out, but less than 5% have the will or the attention span to do it. =)

Took me about 20 minutes. 5/5.
There was one part where I had to guess between two slots, but I guessed right. I dunno, I probably did it wrong and got lucky.

for ages i was totally stuck but i wrote down where everything in each category could go and only 1 thing could go in the yellow house

Einstein said only 2% of everyone in the world could figure this puzzle out (legitimately). Which is obviously a number he whipped out of his ***, but i'm willing to bet its close. It isn't because 98% of people are idiots and only genius's can figure it out. But more likely 98% of people just don't have the attention span to figure it out. Especially in modern times.

took about 25 mins to do with about 15 of those utterly clueless until it struck me that i needed a strategy. Once i set out to find the color order of the homes the rest fell into place pretty logically. fun and challenging.

You do realize this is the internet, right? With search engines and stuff? And retards who think searching the answer for riddles makes them smart?
Yeah.

Actually this is ripped out of an escape game. Granted it wasn't a very good one, but this is still the same interface. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say this isn't very original.

that took me about 5 minutes next time add a few more elements and create a penalty for saying finish when incorrect (took advantage of that by seeing if the answer I put in a space was correct).
